Hey guys! I'm a new member on this forum and just wanted to share a story I'm thinking of writing. This short story is for after the misunderstanding with Ishwari and my take on the story from there. Let me know if you like it đ
Forgiveness
Sonakshi was laying in her bed looking at the picture she and Dev took the time he had dropped her home after the gift incident with Riya. She can remember every detail of that day. Dev stammering when Mami came to the kitchen, his helplessness when Riya took the gift he had bought her and also his naughtiness, which he only let loose with her. She laid there remembering how great things were at the beginning, how Dev, or should she call him Mr dixit now. Did she still have the right to call him Dev after everything that had happened?
She blamed herself as much as she blamed him. She should have seen it coming, his staying home all day, canceling meetings and postponing everything to be with him. But she was blinded by the love he showered on her, God knows her bruised heart needed it. It took her weeks to realize that he really loved her and that it wasn't just a dream. She had found her prince and her love story had started and it consumed every bit of her.
Dev, or was it Mr dixit, was the rainbow in her life. The life that was sunny but also gloomy at the same time. Even though she had the most loving family in the world she alway sensed something missing, a puzzle piece nowhere to be found, that is until he walked in. Even though she hated him and his ways in the beginning, she later understood the intensity of his love, willing to climb mountains and cross oceans for his love. "I want you for myself" he echoed in her mind, nothing but a way too lively memory now. His husky voice, the heat from his breath melting her heart as it grazed her face. Her heart skipping a beat as his chest leaned in only to stop a few inches away. Him smirking as to show that he was aware of the storm he was evoking inside of her, a sensation so new to her, but so addicting. All she wanted to do was get lost in his embrace and drown in his smell that seemed to be more important that the very air she breathed... and then kichu bhaia calling, pulling her out of her heaven.
But that was all in the past now. All she could do now is dream of those moments and spend her days hoping that things would work out one day. That she might once again be able to hug her love and feel his warm embrace. Like she did the time she had told him her deepest and darkest secrets and wants.
He was standing there in the middle of his room inspecting something that was bothering him. His back turned towards her, his every muscle visible through his white t-shirt, his arms on his waist as if he was ready for combat. She swallowed her saliva, scared of what she was getting herself into, remembering his complaint earlier that day on how she never told him how she really felt. She was ready to do this she said to herself, not sure how true it was...
