I appreciate that you have shared your opinion and your thoughts and I respect it but I have to disagree for various reasons. It seems to me that you are seeing the show in different light.

The shows main storyline is about Dev giving up his love for his mother and the show has been building towards it. They need to show that why Dev respectes and listen to his mother so much for that main storyline to make sense. It's important to tell the viewers the reason Dev respects his mother besides anything else. At the same time it's important to also show us why his mother feels insecure by Sonakshi and that they are showing by bringing change in Dev. From serious business man who only cares about his mother the most he will transform into a man who will care about Sona as well. And that will become a reason for Ishwari to become insecure so it's very important to show what they are showing right now.

As for everyone keeping quiet around mami always listening to her it's because they know the hard times and they are doing that because they don't want their relatives to suffer. And in our lives we all have to handle relatives who are annoying and that's what Dixit family is doing and that makes the show much realistic. In reality no mater how irritating relatives are we always keep them around and listen to them and that's all Dev and Ishwari are doing, they are not loosing their self respect of dignity, they are simply trying to keep relations and not spoil them.

You find Dev's confusion unrealistic because he such a driven businessman but that's the reason he is confused. He never thought about marriage and love so it's hard for him to take such a decision. He is not materialistic but since the topic has been touched upon he has been forced to think about marriage and his confusion is not only about Natasha but about marriage and love in general. Personally I think his confusion is more about marriage in general rather than marrying Natasha for business deal. Yes he cares about the business deal but not enough to marry her. He has realised he has to marry some one sometime in future so he is thinking why not it be Natasha, that way deal will be done too. The moment he will realise he loves sona, he will break the engagement without thinking about the dea.

As for Sonakshi taking in insults by mami, I think she does because she respects the Dixit family. She respects Dev and his mother so for them she takes all mami's insults. She knows that she is getting insulted but she also knows that Ishwari and moreover Dev are good hearted kind people and for her those matter, neither mami nor he useless son and she knows who mami and her son truly are so thier insults doesn't matter to her because she knows they have no worth in the end. For her, her patient Ishwari matter and that's why she keeps quiet. She is no way is loosing her dignity infact by keeping queit she is proving to be a better person. She immensely respects Dev, and that's why she stand listens and moves on.

All in all I think it's a great show and if looked closely it's dealing with lot of things very cleverly. It does not create useless drama, it deals with situations maturely and smartly. It has characters who are realistic and whom we can relate too. The storyline is definitely going somewhere and preparing for its main storyline where Dev will have to maybe sacrifice his love for his mother and for that they need to build up and that's what they are doing.

sona is not giving bck to mami as she is giving silent treatment to her.You act as if they're invisible, not responding to them at all or giving them a very minimal and withheld response.This is more stronger reactions dan shouting and screaming at persons like mamiji.and to fall in love and be vulnerable does not make someone less independent and strong.So sona is just da same . and she is doing her job to her best ability.she is focused abt her career.

I understand where you are coming from ...and I partially agree ,it seems slow especially dev's realization ...but I am not sure if there was any other way of doing it ...because from a manipulative buisness man who tricked sona to take up that job to the guy who asks for sonas permission at midnight to take sleeping pills is a journey in itself ...had they gone fast it would seem unbelievable that dev would propose sona ...and that too dramatically on the engagement day

It is your pov and view on show and I respect it but I don't think so and disagree with you as this show it really interesting and unique and is really down to earth. As for the Mami even if she taunts Sona, Dev has supported her like in water dropping scene after titanic wala then in the scene where mamj steals money then he knew Sona didn't. I have no complains from show, the show is pleasant in every manner as the cast say every episode brings a smile if one radharani and another DevAkshi scene is there. Yes I agree that RR is irritating but Sona even if she is in love with Dev or suppose she wasn't because of RR she wasn't leave ishawari's health in middle as her patients matter as she says many times. And Dev is unable to raise voice against his family as it's his own and he knows what a relationship is made of and can't go against Mr.Gujjaral as he don't know if he says no to marriage and yes to deal so both could go and he can be in danger so he wants time but this was in haste.

But sometimes you have to give a reply to a person, tit for tat. Some people don't understand silent treatment as they can never be silent themselves, like Mami. So when the water level starts going up your head, a straight verbal slap is necessary. That's what I feel.

Saying that all the mami taunts are repetitive and highly annoying ...it's not adding to anything ...the worst is both dev and iswari has taken it for granted that mami is going to insult and sona is going to leave from there

I agree with you almost on every point.

Especially regarding Snakshi's characterization. I get it that she respects elders and that's the reason why she doesn't give it back to RR. But sometimes, she's shown saying SORRY to her. Now, THAT is comletely unnecesaary. They ould've shown her going away from that place silently or atleast throwing a scornful glance, which was something she did today. And, Sonakshi's character is not shaping up the way they told it would. The PRACTICAL Sona is these days not at all visible. I don't know where they are lagging behind in writing Sona's character, but the Sona we are watching these days is not giving the vibes the initial one used to give. They should show more things related to her job. She, maybe, writing articles or some of her old clients calling her or something like that. She's afterall the BEST nutrionist in the city. These kinds of things, I feel, establish the characters very well. I fee the need to be reminded of how good a nutrionist Sona is. The day she walked out on Dev, carrying all her belongings, with full dignity and self respect, in the hospital is the day I fell in love with Sona. Somehow, she's missing these days. I know, there is no need for that Sona to resurface right now. The scenes or scrpt don't need that angle of Sona to be shown right now. But, somehow, I feel Sona's charcaterization has become a bit dull. I want them to create scenes where we can see the initial, fiery Sona.

And, her life seems to be revolving ONLY round Dev Dixit and his family these days. We know you are in love. Taht doesn't mean you'll think about him 24 7. Or instead of showing Bose family's scenes just with 3 or 4 memebers, they should include Sona as well. That would atleast tell us that she thinks about others apart from Dev. That she has a beautiful life, and that she has other people in her life as well. They should show her taking care of her grandma or laughing around with her family casually. For once, not thinking about Dev, she should have a life of her OWN.

Dev is seeming a bit dumb these days. ( A big, big sorry to all the fans out there) I am a fan of his as well. But more than being confused, he seems slow. I felt this post the accident track. But now he seems super fine. I loved him in the last week.

Agree with you regarding the change of setting. Seems too boring to watch the same two houses. I don't actually have a solution for this. Maybe create some scenes outside the two houses? There's some nursery scene coming up according to SBS, so waiting for that.

That said, I also want them to start some parallel tracks. Something that makes sense. I like this idea of Sona's mom writing a book and all that. But, it doesn't add up to the story. She actually being serious about it and completes writing a book is something I'd like to see. Then,a book launch where Sona invites Dev could follow. Brings norrmalcy to the serial and makes us want to watch the other people's scenes as well. Even now, I like watching the Bose family's scenes.

My most important concern has always been about Sna's characterization. I hope they correct it. Rest, I love the sow and I have lots of faith and hope in it. Waiting to get the initial promo feel in the show. I want the show to be very progressive and modern. Not like other dramas. I want them to touch upon real issues, real emotions and relations rather than marriage and sindhoor and what not. They are doing it beautifully till now. I hope they continue to do so. Because love is the most important relation and when two people are in love, they needn't be given any name such as partners or wife and husband. And this angle is what I am waiting to watch in the show. Love that keeps these two souls waiting.
