I agree with your point about Sona's characterisation because they're only focusing on her being in love but they're forgetting that she is a strong, independent woman who speaks her mind and stands up for herself. I think she doesn't say anything to Radha rani because she doesn't want to go into an unnecessary argument with her because arguing or even retorting to such a person is a waste of valuable time and energy. But sometimes her taunts do warrant a fitting reply because she is doing her job in the house and it's not like Radha rani is paying her anything.

I also agree with there needing to be more parallel tracks and I think the CVs are trying to do that with Asha's character but I'd like them to handle this track seriously and have her finish a novel. Right now the track is looking a bit random so hopefully they somehow link it to something already happening in the show. I have a feeling that her novel might end up being about Sona...idk why I get the feeling that this is where this writer track is heading.

I wouldn't say the show isn't going anywhere but obviously there are points where the CVs need to pay some attention to. I like that this show doesn't give me headaches and it does leave me with a smile so have to credit the CVs for giving us a fairly realistic show 😊

I agree the main plot can be about Dev's attractions towards sona...but the sub plot could be bit different. Instead on focusing on Dev's engagement they could have focused on Neha & Ranveer. This show did not show any festivities yet where all the characters got a chance to dress up in formal indian attire...the scope is with Neha & Ranveer's engagement. I would like to see sona all decked up and Dev just unable to look away from her. Again this is just my opinion.

If there is one thing, that makes my day , is Kuch Rang Pyar Ki Aishbi without any doubt.

After a long time I am enjoying myself tremendously watching a hindi show without the presence of extra terriestrial species , which nowadays most of the producers are incorporating into their shows to secure a pie of the viewership to garner more TRPs to stay on air...to the level of stupidity with the stories butchered beyond recognition.

And then, comes a show like Kuch Rang Pyar Ki Aisbi , a refreshing story, so subtle but very magnetic with its forces of power and bang, you are caught off guard...totally and completely, falling in love with the show.

What is the unique selling point of this show? Its simplicity and its quality and above all, lets be honest, the intense, dynamic relationship between Dev and Sona. Well played by Shaheer and Erica.

The show deals with normal hopes, expectations , fear and anxiety - everything depicted so beautifully in this story by all the main characters.

Slow pace at times, it might be but still it manages to give you a feeling of satisfaction without rushing in with unbelievable plots.

Sona is not weak. She is still feisty . She hasn't lost her spirit. Infact she has gained and aqcquired something new. Love.!Love has mellowed her down. Nothing wrong in that. It happens to some of us.

She does not rise to provocation. Anytime, she could have told Mami off but what would she gain out of it?

Yes sometimes Mami knows which button to push...Dev to make Sona sad...but that's life and Sona handles and manages her well. Overall Sona is still a very confident independent woman, who has a soft spot for Dev and loves him unconditionally and above all , there is her virtue of patience...and how painful it must be to work for Dev, loving him and seeing him going to get married to someone else soon...

So Sona is still a strong honest capable lady and by working herself in the household of Dixit, she has not lost her respect or her place in society. Its still work and she still gets paid to do the job for she takes care of her patient very well .

Dev maybe very successful and smart, but he is just a human at the end of the day. I don't know why whenever I see Gujaral, reminds me of the Vampire - Vincent price. Only the fangs, and the cape is missing. Well this guy just want all in one package ,business, son in law , lineage and business continuity. Dev is caught in situation where he cannot just say NO just yet...he needs time to come in terms with everything . So let's give him some time...and see how he emerges out from it, victoriously.

Dev who was a bit preoccupied with Sona, boyfriend now has been slapped with a bigger problem in the form of marriage and merger with Nats plus birthday all to be made in the same day! He has to deal with it whether he likes it or not. And time is not he has now...clock is ticking...

He didn't take it well when Gujaral made the decision for him. He was stumped. He is totally confused , restless, unhappy and depressed and you can guess more or less he was going through some inner battle...making him dial Dr Bose number ...to ask her if he can take a sleeping pill?

Now how many times we have seen this type of action from a hindi show...?So simple but very beautiful how Sona calls him back and ask him if he is ok and talks to him...This is why I fell in love with the show time and again..

I liked the part where they showed how disinterested he was in the whole engagement thing and the way he selected a ring so randomly without even giving it a second glance , shows that his mind was elsewhere weighing things... There are so many things going on with him at this moment. We are seeing different shades of emotions...

Only he can decide what he wants in pursuit of his happiness...with Sona...and he will come out as a champion on this in the upcoming episodes as I have complete trust and faith with the writers of this show who never fails to surprise me.

And Yes, finally , Dev will bring Sona out to places besides just romancing in the house sets I guess. Will see more of their fun bantering romancing rapport...

So ,lets relax and enjoy the show...more good things are about to come and the show is indeed going somewhere. It has been always and in all ways been going to a certain destination point.

Cant complain but compliment only how good is this show is...

I respect your POV... But i have an altogether different POV:
According to me... Yes Dev is a self-made man.. Whose life revolves around his mother and 3 sisters. All he's focused on is providing a better life to his family and his motive of earning is only providing his family the best.

All this is true... He bought Sona forcefully to take care of his mother... And Sona accepted the job because she needed the job badly for her family... Now even when her brother is working, she's continuing with the job because, she has formed a family like relationship with the entire Dixit family. Ishwari, though stubborn at the start loves her a lot now. And Sona as we all know is very serious about her patients. She'll not leave the job just because now her family has an option and she doesn't need to be continuing the job just because she had to give up self respect when she joined this job. Sona is always like this. She will never leave her patient in the middle of the treatment. For why is Sona taking all the humiliation from Mami is because of her good upbringing. And also because she respects Ishwari and Dev a lot and she know well that how Ishwari is always helpless when it comes to Maami.

And for Dev... Dev was always like this. When it comes to his mother or sisters, he takes the decisions firmly. Like the way when mami was taunting Neha about Ranveer. He stood up for his sister and Ranveer. But when it comes to Dev himself. He has never thought of his life before... He never took decisions of his life alone and this is what made him more confused and restless. He's not getting the way out. He doesn't know what to do and what not. He never thought of anybody else than his family and to think of having someone else in life is making him restless.

From the time Dev met Sona... He found someone who doesn't hesitate to speak her mind. She never sugar coat things. What she likes, she says it and what she doesn't she speaks about it too... This made Dev respect Sona more and gradually they became friends. By now he know she gives him genuine advice and he has always seen her taking care of his mother perfectly... She makes his sister understand things in the most calm way... He has seen all this. He has seen her taking all the humiliation just for his and his mother's sake.

He now know, whatever advice she gives is for his betterment... He slowly developed a kind of attachment with Sona that he talks to her about everything directly or indirectly and find the solution to his problems. He looks for her all the time to discuss everything. She has become the most important part of his life... Like he said he never thought he'll need somebody in life... But... But he need her. They have shown anything suddenly. Sona fell in love with Dev with each passing day. It was not sudden. And Dev's feeling are changing with time too. Sona and Dev's characters are totally different and their time and way of realisation will also be different. Anf it is portrayed perfectly by the makers.

Now, about the marriage proposal... Ishwari doesn't want to influence Dev's decision, because first thing is she's aware the deal is very important for Dev and secondly, now she things that Dev also like Natasha and she doesn't want to create a mess for his son by saying no. She's correct in saying that it's his life's decision and he should take it. She want her son to select his life partner on his own. Which is not wrong.

For the other characters. The current focus of the show is on Ranveer-Neha and Dev-Sonakshi love story. It's not possible for them to show all the actors everyday. Earlier when vicky was the focus, we get to see him and mamaji too. The creatives are very well balancing the show.. They are showing Dev's family and Sona's family daily and we are getting realistic scenes. These things happens in a family. If even they will start showing drama everyday happening in both the houses. Then the uniqueness of the show will be lost. The current phase of the show is very beautiful and we should enjoy it.

This is solely my POV.😊 You might have a different opinion.

Hi everyone,it's great to see such good fan following of KRPKAB. I'm just surprised to see how beautifully you all write, and it's nice to have a conversation.
As for the opinion that most of you have, that is,the drama has a very simple story line, I couldn't agree more. This simplicity in story and life-like characters is the reason even I thoroughly enjoy the show, and actually started watching Hindi soap opera after 3 years. So on this point we all have same reason. When I choice the title of the topic as 'Going Nowhere', I meant from here on the story seems to have slowed down somewhere, because it seems that the story is been dragged to much on one sequence,or one point. Yes,it is not a story that focuses ononly the male lead,or the female lead characters, but it is a story of the relationship a mother and a son shares, and the different phases of their lives, let's say somewhat like the story of PIKU,the movie. And the script writer is indeed the one person, who I feel, needs a round of applause 👏for bringing up this beautiful idea on screen. But there is this point which cannot be ignored that whatever the theme of the drama,it needs to have sub plots to show the relation of other characters to the main characters, and the events happening in their (other characters)lives. To this I really agree with many of you,who are of the opinion that Sonakshi's mother should write a novel and that too on her daughter's life. All I'm saying is that, apart from this business deal, which has been pulled for almost two weeks, there should be more to the story. And that does not mean rushing up and making Dev and Sonakshi romancing all the time and singing songs, like some fairy tales, because that would be too much to take in. However, with the gradual growth in Dev's and Sonakshi's relationship, there can be changes and development in sub plots too, which would unfold the story more beautifully. Because expansion is life;movement is life, and the drama will relate more to real life when it is moving.
Any way,it was nice to read different view points and I appreciate the time you'll have given on this.Let's just hope that all of our opinions are read by the Creative team of KRPKAB, and changes are made to be it development in Sonakshi's character,or be it the story line.

Isn't life just like that.
There comes a phase in our life when it seems that everything is going round and round in circles, in other words going nowhere and we grow frustrated with the situation and then suddenly all the puzzles fall in place!😊

Its has happened to me many times. Its seems like I am running on a treadmill... But bam! No way I have been riding an unknown yet exciting wave all this while and arrive at the right shore just on time! 😆

Just saying! 😉

Absolutely! Very well said and since this show is realistic, that's precisely what's happening here too. For Dev everything is happening at jet speed (except for him realising his feelings 😆) but for poor Sona, her world feels like it's stagnant
