Khatri is Dev's dad/uncle/relative I think.

There is some link between him and Dev for sure..

Thats why Ishwari fears him telling the truth too

I'm not sure whether it was an affair or he was married to Ishwari but was an abusive husband so she broke all ties with him or something. But he does have some links to Dev. Or she wouldn't be so afraid of Dev knowing the truth.
