so I am back with the second part as promised. here I wanted to potray the emotions as they are now. Ishwari is not a typical saas, in the sense actively plotting to keep her son to herself. she now likes sona, in fact more than like, as her own. she sends her home when she is sick, and even bandaged her hand when she cut it. she in fact also asks sona to mend her problems with dev, she knows that she is a good friend for sona. Its like supriya ji had said, that she knows dev will always love her, but she has this inexplicable feeling of insecurity everytime his marriage topic comes up. so here I am trying to potray when she has already past this. now I will stop sorry for rambling, and hope you enjoy!
Ishwari smiled at her two children, and cleared her voice before speaking, ' areh mere taraf bhi dekh lo koi, itni bhi buri nahi dikhti bhai!'
this brought both dev and sona out of their reveire, they blushed and looked away. sona proceeded to keep the food she had brought on the table, while dev remarked, ' kya ma, ap bhi na!'
ishwari laughed, 'ha ha, acha mai nahi chiraoungi...ab mai ja raha hu...ghar khali hai...thik se rehna tum dono...aur dev tu ja fresh ho ja...'
saying this she got up and walked to sona, 'aur sona tu isse kuch khila dena. iski mat sunna...kyunki...'
but before dev could continue sona completed her sentence, 'kyunki dev ke office mai meeting thi, aur tension mai usne subha se kuch nahi khaya hoga...janti hu mai'
ishwari nodded and smiled. sona was really perfect for her son. she understood him just as she did. now she was not worried about what will happen to him after she died. she lovingly kissed her head.
dev was listening to his two favourite ladies, and a smile was playing on his lips. how the hell did they know that he had not had anything when he himself had forgotten.
dev now spoke, 'areh ma sab pyar ise hi aur mera kya!...' he mock pouted.
ishwari laughed, 'areh dekho ise...itni der ma ke godh mai sar rakh ke kon so raha tha!...ha ha'...she lovingly kissed her son's head too. sona smiled seeing mother and son, she knew dev was busy nowadays and couldn't spend as much time with them as he wanted. now atleast this work was over, and for some days he could rest.
'acha yeh dekho, der ho raha hai...mai jati hu warna tum dono se bat hi karte rahoongi...'
dev said, 'ma tum thik se jana, gari wahi rahega, aur pohoch ke phone kar dena. jaldi ana wapas.'
before ishwari could speak sona continued, ' aur mene gari mai nimbu pani rakh diya hai...thori thori der mai pite rehena aur maine jaisa kaha hai waise hi khana please...'
Ishwari smiled, ' areh areh itne are rules...tum dono toh aise bol rahe ho jaise mai kahi dur ja rahi hoo...pata hi nahi chal raha mai tumhari bacchi hu ya tumlok mere...thik hai mai sare niyam ka palan karoongi aur jald wapas aungi'.
she smiled and walked away. once she was out of sight, dev and sona turned towards each other . neither needed to talk. sensing each others emotions, they wrapped up each other in a tight hug. sona played her fingers over his short hair while dev buried his head into her hair. He smiled. what is with his mother's hand and sona's smell that could take away all his tiredness in an instant!
sona spke, 'dev jao nahalo...mai garam garam soup lai hu...thanda ho jaega...phir khate khate sab batana.'
as she tried to move away, dev pulled her closer and further buried his head in her hair. sona smiled. finally he moved away, took the towel and was proceeding towards the bathroom but he came back and kissed sona on the cheek. now satisfied he went away.
sona smiled. finally after so many days they would get a little time alone. she was happy. ahe busied herself in getting the food ready for him.
