It was 4 am in the morning...
Dev was asleep on Neha's lap with Nikki and riya by their side...
Suddenly they noticed a smile slowly carve on his face..
It was days since they had seen their bhai smile.. .
They were surprised to see him smile in his sleep but at the same time wondered what was he dreaming about that made him smile in his sleep...
All the three knew the answer to that...
"SONA"...
Around an hour later his phone's alarm went off...
Nikki Neha and riya all were surprised to see what reminder the phone flashed...
It said :
" PLAY DATE" !!! ( 5 months)
By the time they could switch it off Dev was already up...
He surprised to find them still sitting besides him...
The last thing he remembered was he going to sleep on Neha's lap...
He added up the things and realised his sisters never left his side...
He was so moved to see their love for him...
Right until this day he was the one making them happy, taking care of them, handling their problems, showering his love on them...
But today, he was on the receiving end...
And that ,to his surprise felt REALLY GOOD...
He felt veryyy special...
It felt good to be taken care of...
" Wo ..." he was about to say something but they interrupted
" Bhai, kuch mat kaho aaj...
Hum hai aapke saath ..." neha said with tears in her eyes...
She couldn't see her brother in this state...
They had seen him angry, irritated,frustrated,happy sometimes but this...they could not see him like this ..
To lighten the mood nikki suddenly changed the topic and asked dev
" Waise bhaiyya yeh reminder kiss cheez ka hai...
'PLAY DATE ... 'aur aaj use 5 months complete huye
Kya hai yeh bhaiyya ??????
Aur aap bacche thodi ho ki play dates pe jaoge...
Batao na bhaiyya kya hai yeh ????"
As soon as she asked him, his happiness knew no bounds...
His face flashed a smile like never before, that reached his eyes...
Suddenly all the pain, all the fears, all the tension in the present was washed away, as soon as those beautiful memories of that day flushed in...He did not even realise how happy he was just by recollecting those memories...Without thinking twice he suddenly said,
" Wo Sona ne mere liye na ek date night plan ki thi, itana maza aaya kya batau tum..." and mid sentence he realised that he was not with her anymore, those memories were in the past and may be he will never get to relive them...
The expressions on his face switched, in a matter of seconds...
From that happy,giggly, playful lover he suddenly transformed into the man with responsibilities to fulfill...
Neha, Riya and nikki did not fail to see the change of expressions on his face...
" It's okay Bhai, aap bata sakte ho hume..." Neha said
" Haan bhaiyya hume bhi janana hai ki us din kya hua..." riya said...
After lot of persuation, Dev agreed to share one of the best days of his life, he will ever live...
" Achha baba, batata hoon...
Toh suno..." Dev said...
*****5 months ago******
It was sunday...Dev had come to Sona's place to pick her up ...It was routine for Dev, to go and pick up Sona from her house, come back home with her, go to office , come home, drop sona home at night and again come back home...
Even though it did not make any sense to make those trips, but for him, those trips with her were memories in the making...
The mood swings those two had, the stupid fights, the naughty flirting, the cravings that made them stop at any and every place to have the food they craved for...
All these things came along with those extra trips...
And Dev Dixit would give away anything to live those moments with her...
It was 9 in the morning, Dev was honking outside Sona's place...
Her family was out for a wedding so she had to do the chores and got late...
" Sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry" she started as soon as she came out of the house and ran towards his car...
Dev just rolled his eyes on her, faking his anger, which tensed Sona even more...
" Sorry na baba, wo ghar pe koi nahi tha toh sab kaam mujhe hi karna pada isliye late hui...
Aaj tak kabhi late huyi hoon...?"
Dev gave no reaction for a few seconds and the moment she realised she had asked this question Dev rolled his eyes again and Sona to ignore his glare looked outside the window smiling to herself about her stupid question...
But she very well knew how to get him back to normal...
Nobody spoke for a minute in the car and it was too silent...
Sona suddenly thought of something and had a playful smile on her face...
She just leaned on to Dev's side and looked into his eyes with an intense gaze...placed her one hand on Dev's lap and the other on the shoulder near his collar bones...
The havoc her touch created in his body was overwhemling to another level...Her gaze, the way she looked at him drove him crazy...After so many months, even he was surprised at the effect This WOMAN had on him, simply by being close to him...
His heart was beating so fast, that he could hear it beat...
He was loosing control of his senses...
Even Sona realised the effect she had on him, and was loving it..She leaned even further, moving her hand away from the collar bones, tracing his shoulder while the other hand was still on his lap...
Dev could not take it anymore...He was feeling weak in his knees , as their lips were just mms apart from each other...
Now his heart raced even faster...
And when he thought she was gonna kiss him any second now, suddenly the intense gaze on Sona's face turned into a playful smile...
And before he could react to it she pulled out the seat belt behind his back and winked at him and said...
" Kya Mr. Dixit, seat belt bhi pehena nahi aata...
Abhi fine padata toh ?
Mai nahi bharati" with that playful smile, still visible on her face...
After a few long seconds, Dev realised what just happened and how she tricked him...
Before he could get back at her for what she had done, sona interrupted again...
" Volume low karo Dev" sona said without meeting his eye..
Dev did not understand, as there was no music playing in the car..
He gave her the 'what are you even talking about' look...
Sona smiled at him again...
" Your heart beats MY LOVE...
They are WAY out of control, i can hear them right her" she wishpered in his ears and while leaning away kissed his cheek gently...
Dev was embarassed beyond repair now...He did not know what to say next...
He was caught red handed by her, given away by his stupid heart beats who wouldn't slow down...
She knew what effect she had on him and he couldn't control it...
After a few seconds he got hold of his senses and his heart beats...
" You have become such a tease yaar Sona...
Aisa koi karta hai kya apane boyfriend ke saath " he made a puppy face...
"Awwweee, Mr. Dev Dixit is sad ????
Can i do something to cheer him up ?" She said while she leaned towards him again...
" No..no...no...nooo...
you have done enough...phir popat karogi mera...
Ab chalo ghar..." he said while driving away in the direction of ishwari niwas...
On their way home, there was too much traffic and cars had no place to move...
Some gully cricket competition was going on...
" damn it... yeh kya khelne ki jagaha hai kya, pura rasta block kar rakha hai...mai abhi jaake unhe dekhata hoon..." dev said frustrated...
"Rehene do na ...Aaj waise bhi sunday hai...baccho ko ek hi din milata hai khelneko...
Maine bhi bohot khela hai...
Tumne bhi toh khela hoga usme kya..." she said not realising that he never had a normal childhood like her or others ...
Dev just smiled at her...
And then she realised what she had said...
To cover up for what she had said she tried to lighten the mood saying,
" waise bhi saari galati aapke iss badi si car ki hai...
Bike hoti toh ab tak cut marke nikal gaye hote"
" mujhe bike chalani nahi aati..." dev said as if it was normal and no big thing for him...
"HAWWW...kya baat kar rahe ho aapko bike chalani nahi aati ????" Sona exclaimed
" haan toh, usme kya badi baat hai...tumhe bhi toh car chalani nahi aati, maine kuch kaha" he frowned
" Arey baba, boys ke liye bike chalana basic cheez hoti hai, isliye kahan maine" sona said politely
" maine jab business start kiya tab mere pass koi vehicle nahi tha...jab expand hua tab car li and bus wohi chalana seekha...baaki sab ke liye time nahi tha...
And don't be so stereotypical haan sona, that i should know how to ride a bike just because i am a guy..." he said...
" okay, sorry" sona said..
They reached home an hour late...dev was already pissed because of the traffic and now he was late for office...
When he got back from the office it was very late ,and sona was not there...
On asking, he came to know that she had already left an hour ago...
As he was about to call her, he got a text from her saying
" Come at my place, i have a surprise for you."
He reached at her place in 15 mins...
When he reached there she was already standing there with two helmets in her hand...
" come on yaar, dont tell me ab tum mujhe bike chalana sikhaogi...kyu ye..." he was interrupted as she placed her finger on his lips
" Ssshhh...just put this on...i will be back in a minute..." she said and went to get the bike...
Two minutes later she emerged riding the bike and stopped in front of dev and signalled him to sit behind her...
" What are you doing...?" He asked
" Breaking stereotypes..." she said...
