*Chapter 3*
"Come on ,mystery girl.Stop with this silent treatment and tell me you name"
He was getting impatient now.She hasn't uttered a single since he started car.
"M-y-t-e-r-y "
Still no luck.
"Ok fine don't tell me.You want us to die.Right??"
With that he left the steering wheel .He knew this trick would work in his favour.Sona, on the other hand was taken aback by his childlike behaviour, she never knew that dev has emotions too.
"Mr. Dixit ,stop being a child"
"No tell me your name first"
He increased the speed of his car.Now , Sona was a bit afraid.Dev was famous for his words.She knew He won't hold the steering wheel till she told him , her name.
"Sonakshi.Sonakshi Bose"
with that she ended this tom and jerry game.Dev stopped the car in front of his villa and quickly got out of the car and opened Sona's gate"
"So chivalry isn't dead,haan"
She sarcastically said.
"Nah, but i must say sarcasm must be flowing in you veins"
He countered back.They were now walking in his house , bantering like it was their daily routine.
"Don't you know sarcasm is the lowest firm of wit"
He provoked her to say something rude to him.He found it very funny.
"But highest form of intelligence, i hope you know that Mr.Dixit"
She said eying his house.She was impressed by the interior but dare she said that aloud.She had made a mental image of dev as bad, mannerless and emotionless person and she cannot digest the fact that he was exactly opposite of that image.
"I cannot win with you.By the way , you have a beautiful name ,Sonakshi"
He said expecting a blush in return.But she just stared at him with her mastered blank face and said
"That line was lame and its Ms. Bose for you"
Her eyes challenging him to say anything else.Dev wasn't one of those to back out from a challenge.
"Lame?? That wasn't lame.You haven't heard anything remotely lame"
He thought for a minute and said
"wait.Hear my pick up lines.I swear you'll know what lame is??"
"Not interested"
She said completely dismissing his idea.
"I am not asking.You are my secretary and now to think i have a better idea"
He was just loving it to get on her nerves.He was literally curious so as to know why she hates him.Sona was tongue tied, she xannot say a word after he pulled out the secretary card.
"What idea??"
Although she pretended to be uninterested but she curious about it.
"I'll say a pickup line and you have rate it and tell me how's it.If I am able to make you laugh then you'll have to do something i ask"
"Qhat if you are unable to do so"
She asked to be sure.
"Whatever you say"
"Okay fine.Your time starts now"
She said to dev.While he was ready with his best pickup lines
"I seems to have lost my number.Can i have yours??"
"4 maximum.So old and boring line"
Her face still was blank no traces of smile.
"Do you have a map??"
" What?? Why??"
"Cause i am lost in your eyes"
"4.5.Not impressed"
Now Dev understood that she was a hard nut to crack.He cannot back out from his word, he was adamant to make her smile.
"You are so beautiful that i forgot my pickup line"
"5.5"
Her lips pressed into a thin line as if she was purposely hiding that precious smile of hers,Which was somewhat true.Both of them not ready to give up.
"My doctor says i am lacking vitamin U"
"5 .But my doctor says it goid to lack vitamin U"
Dev can clearly see her blank face crackling up a bit.Just two more line and she would be laughing like no tomorrow.
"Is there an airport nearby or is that just my heart taking off?"
"7.Good going Mr. dixit but I am hard to impress"
He was just looking in her eyes making her feel uncomfortable.
"Can i follow you home"
"why??"
"Cause my parents told me to follow your dreams"
A half smile slowly formed on her face.He didn't wait for her review but continued with his lines
"Your body is 75% water and i am thirsty"
"Eww that was ridicules"
She was trying hard to not to smile.
"Are you and orphanage??"
"What ?? I am what ?"
"Cause i want to give you kids"
That was it.A full blown smile adorned her face and Dev was overjoyed to make her smile and win the game.
"See Sonakshi, i won"
"Yeah yeah ask whatever , you want"
She said casually but on inside she was a bit afraid as what would he ask.
"I'll ask some other day"
Although he wanted to ask why she hates him but he knew she isn't comfortable to share it with him so he saved it for later.
"So sona, lets do some work"
"Don't call me that,Sir"
She over sweetly said emphasizing on sir.
"I'll do want i want and now make me a coffee, kitchen is that side" He pointed towards kitchen "and i'll be in my study"
"I am not your maid"
She hissed at him , how dare he.
"I'm your boss"
with that he grinned and walked away.
Sona was fuming in anger, her mind forming ideas to make his life hell.
