Just a short update for you :-)

Anu is playing tradegy queen telling Mano about how much Kanchu mami loves her and that she feels terrible having betrayed her trust.

Upendra gets passport and tickets to go to US but he tells his man that he has one important job to finish before he leaves.

The next day, Anu and Mano get very playful and are running around the room laughing and Anu bangs against Arti who is carryign coffee. When the coffee is spilt, Arti gets furious and rants and raves.

Alamelu comes to see Anu, and then goes on and on about how Bhaskar and her daughter in law (Abhi) are workign together now and how Bhaskar does important stuff in the company.

Bhaskar is standing on a street side, Upendra has a gun and targets Bhaskar, there is an auto comign between them. Freeze.

June 26, 2006 - Monday updt.

oru puram uppi, marupuram sagalai, irandukkum naduvE porukki nam basker..

Upendra points his gun at Basker...and the auto stops in front, shielding Basker..It is our baasha who has come as Basker's saviour. Basker refuses to get in but Rajesh so lovingly calls him sagalai and asks him to get in and he will drop him wherever he wants. Basker still hesitates but Rajesh finds his Achilles' heel, says that the ride will be on him; the offer of a free ride is too good for Basker to pass up. (he is alamu's son, in all glory) He immediately jumps in and auto whisks off; Upendra comes out with his gun drawn and sorry to say, the chennai residents are all in the grips of a viral attack-induced haze for no one seems to care about him;

He summons another auto that TC has in the side street and true to his clicking his fingers, the auto comes to our view and Upendra directs him to follow the auto in front. Then continue the James Bond like chase...(for those of you who don't get to watch, I am just embellishing to whet your appetites).. Baasha is merrily 'bond'ing with Basker...He says how has Basker been; is is true that Basker works his butt off in Abhi's firm; Basker wants to know who tipped Rajesh and finds out it is own personal PRO in his mom. Then Rajesh asks if he has a chance of getting a job in Abhi's firm.

We shudder and so does Basker; then Rajesh says, any engineer or supervisor job would do; one that required edge-of-the-tongue-english..(nuni naakku aangilam)..all said tongue-in-cheek. Basker asks if Baasha is joking and Rajesh says, what else; you are so stiff and I have to make you loosen up. What will I do with such a job? Auto-driving is all I know and I better stick to that. He then asks about Basker and Abhi (or something to that effect) and Basker says it would have been better if he had taken another auto. Rajesh promises to shut up and meanwhile, Upendra is shown urging his auto to step up;

Basker gets dropped off in front of a building; he crosses the road and stands on the median; Upendra gets down and as well, and unmindful of the prim-and-proper-law-abiding-chennaites, he draws his gun, extends his hand and points to Basker; This is where we find out that PTC does have its advantages; they dont always have to act as maniac machines. One or two speed by, shielding Basker and Upendra is furious. Now, Basker is shown entering a building and Upendra is disgusted. He still has his gun drawn. I think Madras is so used to these mega-serial shootings that no one bothers to pay any attention to a killer in the middle of a busy road. (point to note - upendra doesn't pay either; his auto driver didn't ask for it, have a feeling he spotted the gun)

abhi - engE paNam, engE kadan? thEdinEn kavalaiyaal, krishnan saar.....

Rajamani is so pleased with a group of reports that she is viewing and commends Abhi (who is sitting behind her spacious desk) on a job well-done. Rajamani says this is by far the best laid-out plan and execution that she has ever seen; sometimes even the well laid out plans will hit stumbling blocks during execution; but here, abhi has taken care of even minute details and that is wonderful; Abi is very pleased, says it was not just her doing (it was not at all her doing) but that of her entire team; Basker enters and points out that one Naadhamuni Traders have pointed out that Abhi constructions still owed them 3 lakhs and have used a post-dated check to encash that amt. Abhi is surprised and calls Krishnan to investigate and Krishnan saar tells her that they have settled the 5 lakhs owed to Naadhamuni in cash and it was Thols who took the cash; Abhi calls the dealers in question and the brother of the owner affirms this; Abhi says they are straight shooters and so, I believe what they say; Now all are stumped as to where the 3 lakhs went; Basker is inwardly gloating that he played Sherlock to implicate Thols...; Abhi is thoughtful and looks at Rajamani who looks back at the female goddess for actions;

Rekha and Adhi are discussing abt a meeting at adhi's when Usha's parents enter. Adhi spots them and tells them they have no business here; they beg to differ and tells him Usha did no wrong; that Adhi is mistaken. Adhi says Usha has forever cheated him and why should he believe Usha? She has always gone back on her word; first she said she would marry Adhi, then she said no on the engagement day; then at Abhi's work and persistence, she married Adhi. Then she acted in bringing Anu-Mano together and pretended to bring Kishore-Anjali together; their daughter is never consistent; The dad says, as a dad, I know how my daughter is and she is blameless in this recent fiasco. Adhi says, even with your case, didn't she not accept you as her dad since you are not her biological dad and only after 16 or so years, did she accept you? This is Beethovan to Rekha's ears and it perks up physically. She says, what,really, how come I was not informed of his earlier, even I thought he was Usha's real dad; Now the dad asks Rekha to zip up since this was their family matter and Usha's mom tells her off too; Rekha is mad and says she is a good friend and business partner of Adhi.

Adhi again asks them to go and then the dad says, ok, you don't have to think of Usha; it is not as if she will be in the streets, now that you have deserted her; she will come with us and will be well taken care of, like a princess (a warted one, to the boot); but think of your son; isn't he your own flesh and blood; do you want him to deprive of his father's love and affection? isn't it important that your son grows with you? isn't it your duty to provide for your son and partake in his growing years; (why dad, why? do you really want a junior aadhi/eashwarn? what is he thinking? the kid will be better off with him - he is such a nice person. why would he torture the kid and subject the baby to a life with Adhi and Kanchu? the others are no better, except Arjun but even he is ineffective)

All this is being observed from the upparigai by iLaiya rani, kanchu. She is waiting with bated breath as to what Adhi would say. Adhi is thoughtful; looks like dad hit a vulnerable spot...kallukkuLLum eeram undu; Rekha is panicked and throws startled looks at Adhi; ivan oruvELai appa paasathuku adimaiyO? the same runs through kanchu's head; then Rekha's phone jingles, she says yes, ok, now and tells Adhi the dealers are waiting and they have to leave now; Adhi is in his own world, still reeling under potent effects of dad's words and Rekha calls him twice more, to shake him out of his paasa stupor. He wakes up, free from the dad-love-hypnotism and says, as far as he is concerned, Usha and the kid are out of his lives; UshavE vEndaamna piragu, avaLOda piLLai, enna vEndi irukku? and leaves. Mom starts to say something but dad shushes her up; Kanchu wades down and tells them that her son has spoken; the dad again implores to her but she says, her son spoke what was in her mind too and for her, her son's decision is her decision too and they better show themselves out; (where is paati during these crucial times?) Usha's parents leave the place.

Mano - dhimusu katta, yey, yey, dhimusu katta, nee dhaan giri kaila vasamaa maattikitte.

Lovebirds turned legal couple are out shopping and Anu instructs Mano to stay outside while she goes in to get some things from a store. a bored Mano walks to the street end; meanwhile, nearby Adhi and Rekha are in Adhi's car, going over some site plans; They commend themselves on a plan well-drawn; Giri comes with some adiyaaLs and says nothing will obstruct their plan and they are well-prepared for all emergencies; Adhi is thrilled to see the goondha pattaaLam. Giri spots Mano at the end of the street; Adhi spots him too in his sideview mirror; Giri clenches his teeth and points to Mano and then his minions; Adhi nods his head; Then Giri draws up his legions and walks over and instructs them to go hit/pulverize Mano, since he isthukittu pOyittan namma boss-Oda thangachiyai.

Those men have some conscience and boss visvaasam and tell him, after all, they are married now and this guy happens to be married to Adhi's sister. Giri says, Adhi himself ok-ed the hit; They go near Mano and start beating him up; Mano tries in vain to shield himself; Adhi and Rekha observe this with ill-contained glee; Anu comes with a couple of shopping bags, looks for Mano, follows his beaten cries and tries to pry Giri off; but they just continue; Adhi seeing Anu, climbs down and comes near them and tells Giri not to degrade himself, dealing with kanda street dogs, tharaadharam theriyaadha theru naai...(please show me one tharaadharam therinja street dog, Mr.Adhi). Giri says, he was just walking by when Mano started talking, calling Giri as Adhi's dog and saying, how they bested Adhi by eloping and by bad-mouthing him. Mano has suddenly turned dumb; Adhi tells Giri to leave this useless fellow alone.

Anu drags Mano and gathers up her bags...and then Mano says, it was all instigated by Giri. Mano just was standing by himself when Giri and goons came at him and charged him; he says, it was ok since Giri was adhi's man and Adhi is bound to be angry at Mano, and that it was only logical and as expected. He asks Anu not to mention about any of this at home.
..they continue walking......................I was surprised to see Mano walking straight, after all the beatings he took; poor guys, must have chummaangkaatiyum pretended to hit him, having conscience...i think Giri was the only one who really landed some blows.

Kolangal (06-28-06 Wednesday update)

I am just giving very brief update.

Inspector takes Upendra to a unknown place and starts hitting him asking why he is after Bhaskar and who killed Ranjani. After receiving all the prasadam fm the inspector he tells the truth that Bhaskar wanted to marry Ranjani only for money and when he went to explain it to her, she refused to listen and since I was so upset and wanted to save her from marrying Bhaskar I killed her or else she would be in more trouble. Upendra then tell that he then decided to kill Bhaskar as because of him only he killed Ranjani. But he didn't succeed to kill Bhaskar and u9inspector) came and caught him.

After narrating this story, Upendra smartly took the pistol fm inspector's hand and shot him2-3 times. Upendra then takes his body and tries to burn it. While the body is burning a hand comes and touches Upendra' s shoulder. Upendra turns back and is shocked.

well dont remember much, here are is the jist of telecast

Abhi goes to ask thuls why he needed 3 lakh rupees & how come he cannot share that info with her, thuls refuses to divelge more on that issue, abhi leaves saying she will not ask him anymore till he comes to her to speak about it. shanthi is also suspicious now. thuls is arranging for borrowing 3 lakhs to pay the contractors.

the cop prabhu's house his wife & son are anxious to find out the whereabouts of prabhu

rajesh goes to abhi's house and asks mano why had to take the abuse from abhi, abhi, arti & her mom are shocked to hear this and arti asks mano why cant he be a man, mano's stupid wife anu comes to defend adhi by saying that adhi did not hit mano, giri did, arti retorts and says giri would not do it if adhi did not order it & arivillatha anu butts in and tells arit that it is betweeen her husband & her brother and asks arti not to interfere. arti says it is also an issue between her husband andherself, anu insults arti to look at her pathetc life, (anu is more viscious than adhi) abhi interferes and asks them to go inside, abhi asks mano why did he have to take it from adhi, mano is afrustrated man and leaves

karpagam is concerened about her son, abhi is lost

Jul 3, 2006 - Monday updt

Minister is talking to Inspector Vishwa (sidebar - he happens to be in iyappan malai pOtta guy - inspector) asking abt the missing Upendra and Prabhu when Adhi walks in and is brought up to speed. This news abt Upendra further tenses him and he wants to finish Abhi off once and for all; but the minister cautions him and tells him let us first find Upendra, then we can hide him and send abhi to jail on ranju's murder case; then it will be easy to finish her off. abhi grudgingly zips his mouth shut; minister then tells vishwa to step up on the proceedings when another AC comes; this time to report to the minister; no Upendra, no prabhu; minister shouts some more and asks them to step the investigation up;

Arthi is at the local coffee house (where else? shanthis and thols place) and all 3 are chatting abt abhi's office and the state of it; shanthi relates what happened and how folks are upset for thols using 3 lakhs and things have changed so much. Arthi shows surprise, ada idhellaam kooda nadandhirukkaa? look..then Shanthi asks how Arthi's quest for a new job is; Arthi says she tried out for some time at Abhi's and now is still looking and Thols says even he has put out some feelers. now Ms.Folgers comes up with a great idea - why can't Arthi work for abhi constructions? and flash! thols likes the idea and says why not? when there are folks out there who came in to work with the main idea of destroying abhi, why can't Arthi, who has only abhi's good in her heart? and also, if Thols says something supporting Abhi, the people suspect his good intentions and question his relationship whereas Arthi is kith and kin to Abhi. Arthi is reluctant but Thols has made up his mind.

Pirabhu's wife is sad and some guy comes to her house and leaves. Following that, Vishwa comes in a police jeep and threaten her that she is aiding and abetting her at-large husband with his captive murderer and warns her to tell her husband to come out in the open. She says, (oru jadam maadhiri no emotions at all) ayyO, i myself am looking out for him and even called up the station last night to check his whereabouts. he again warns her and leaves.

now my fav..part. Lakalaka Kala is washing clothes and MIL is rubbing her head and walking towards Rajesh's room. *(they have conveniently forgotten the head of the household; they didn't even show him dead here; i think in the end, they should have one megaserial -maybe we can take one - where these long last folks meet in Varanasi or some place and have their own kashtams in their vaalkai..this dad (but only his aathma will be present; basker's elder sis and husband; basker's one-time athai gandhimathi and her gana-lookalike son; panaimaram husband of shanthi - anguchamy; shivdas and gang;- are they in jail? maybe they will meet yogi from selvi? - come on folks, we have the cast for a new serial)
let me get back to the storyline or something akin to that..

Rajesh comes out and mom asks him to go get some tablets for her headache (poor woman not realizing that her prime headaches are standing before her in two does - rajesh and kala); we see Stepney cutting veggies. Now Mano barges in and huffs and puffs at Rajesh. Rajesh is stumped; Mano says, if I ask you for some money, either you should have given or borrowed it in your name? but no, what did u do? u borrowed it in your bro's name and brought me shame? (now i seriously fault KKK's upbringing; this Mano, or toad is one ungrateful dirt from a lowlife's shoes; first, he told off that nice Rajendran; now he has forgotten all the help Rajesh did. Rajesh is embarassed and Mano says, this Kala, saw Arthi and his mom in the kovil and lit into them for Rajesh giving Mano money. So he says that Rajesh done enough and hands over cash..idhu kooda ivanukku pondaati kodutha vaLai dhaan...next he goes to Kala and tells her that she has done enough and to adakki vaasichufy her words when speaking to his housemates.
Kala shrugs it off; Rajesh comes and censures her and tells her who is she to talk to Arthi abt this? she says unakku arivu irukka? here she is, shunning u and u are bothered abt what she thinks and what her family thinks? unakku dhaan arivE illai. and he says, yes, he knows that she is an arivaaLi and tells his interfering mom that her family if full of arivaaLi's; idhO, inga ivanga veettu innoru arivaaLi nikkudhE, pointing towards stepney and says as far as he is concerned, no one in this house has the right to comment abt arivu since that is a scarce commodity in this house. (romba uNmaiyai dhaan solraan)

abhis office: abhi is in her room, talking to Basker and Ganga and asking him to go over some accounts when Thols walks in; he is slow, (suffering from constipation or diarrhea in real life?) with his jolna pai; he takes out 2 bundles of cash and gives it to Abhi; Abi is miffed that Thols has not offered any explanation and cried on her shoulder; (she is really tired of this office work? enna idhu, yaarum innoru problem kudukka maattEngaraaLE to get out of this office and to work outside, solving that? she is desparately looking for someone's affair to budge her nose into and is furious at thols for making her work)she says, all she needed to know was what thols needed this for and not the money itself; is this the friendship betw them? this earns a turning his face away in disgust act from basker; ganga is contained; thols says he cannot say what he borrowed the money for.

Abhi then says, can't I ask you anything? is that how our relationship is going to be? if so, let it be..she reminds me of a petulant child..then Thols says he has something important to ask her - a favour. abhi asks why r u talking like this? and then thols says Abhi needs to employ someone whom Thols recommends. thols says that person has abhi's interests at heart and will be a good fit: very educated and will be a good addition to this company. Abhi says why ask me? u r also a partner and u have every right to appoint somebody. Then Thols says, it doesn't work that way in this company anymore. I dont want any misunderstandings when giving someone a job, turing towards Basker. Then Thols brings in Arthi. all are surprised. Abhi asks, namma arthiyaa, inga vElaikku? and Thols says yes, she needs this job. she has worked here for a short stint before and now will be an asset. Abhi says fine, we can employ her and Thols turns towards Ganga and asks if Arthi wont' be a good fit here and she mennu muzungufies and says, why not? Abhi instructs Ganga to get the necessary paperwork done and Thols, Arthi and Ganga leave the room. Abhi bends down towards a book in her hands..(no, it is not maalaimadhi or pesumpadam) Basker calls her name and says, I know you are not going to like what I am going to say but I don't think it is prudent to bring relatives to work under one roof; will lead to unnecessary complications and Abhi says, why not? did I not give you work and bring you in? nothing will happen and I will take care of it..paLaar!! nalla adi baskerukku. He mennu muzhungufies now and it is his turn to file out, leaving Abhi thinking....
..........freeze....

Basker may be thinking, so, abhi does think of me as still being related? shd I be jubiliant for this piece of revelation or worry abt abhi's side getting stronger with the advent of arthi....?

JULY 4th UPDATE

Scene I: Ganga's brother comes with Inspector Prabhu's wife and son to Anandhi's office.
Anandi and Bharathy are sitting together. The brother introduces them to the wife and
explains that they need help. He says that Prabhu has been missing for some time and the
wife does'nt know what to do. Anandi (who looks really nice....probably b'cos she's not in a
nightie for a change!) asks the wife why she's not going to Prabhu's superiors for help.
The wife explains that she does not trust them and that the bad cop and Adhi are
threatening her. Anandi and Bharathy perk up at that info and so they all decide to go see
the Police commissioner together.

Scene II: Arthi walks in on Abhi who is setting out lunch. Abhi asks Arthi to join her. Arthi
reluctantly agrees. Abhi serves the lunch ( lemon rice, kathirikkai kootu, plain rice and
questionable liquid....imaginati on illapa...they actually listed it out!!) Abhi's all sad
(methinks cos appalam is missing). Arthi asks Abhi what the matter is and Abhi says that
she misses Usha. Apparently Usha used to love Kathirikai kootu and used to systematically
devour Abhi's food (we all had one of those kathrikai loving friends illa?!!) Abhi says now
even Usha is so unhappy that she probably does not care about what she eats. Abhi says
how a marriage can change so many things. Arthi says yes, a marriage can make you give
up your identity (no you idiot, Abhi is saying how people are so selfish and walk over
everybody so that they can run away and get married) Sorry, anyway, Arthi advises Abhi to
go meet Usha and give her another chance. She says Usha will def. understand the
situation. Abhi agrees. Ganga walks in on them. Abhi asks her to join but Ganga says that
there is not enough Kootu left and walks out...heh-heh. ..something about not wanting to
interrupt. Abhi did look pretty nice in the red saree...a red saree with a simple black
border...

Scene III:
Kishore and Arjun are talking and Arjun says that he feels terrible about the way Adhi is
treating Usha. Kishore agrees that Adhi is an idiot. Arjun says that if only Usha came
home, then he would fix everything (so far has anybody fixed anything?!!) Kishore (who
looks hilarious by the way) tells Arjun that somehow he will get Usha to come to that
house.

Scene IV: Adhi's house
Kishore walks in with his parents and Arjun welcomes him and elbows Eash hard in the
ribs cos he forgets to act and misses his lines. Eashwar then welcomes them and calls
Kanch and Anjali. Everybody assembles and looks confused. Nobody is able to focus on
an object which makes Kishore want to give them a sobriety test! Kishore asks them why
they are all "dull"....I really laughed at that one!! Not even TC knows ...Kishore bhaiyya!!
Anyway, Kishore's parents manage to ask them awkward questions about them not seeing
Usha in the hospital and manage to cajole them into going to the hospital. Out of pure
sammandhi mariyadai, Kanchu goes along and asks Adhi to come there as well.

Scene V: Hospital
Abhi comes there and sees the baby and is konjufying it. Usha walks in and is mad as hell
that Abhi is touching the baby. She asks Abhi to leave. Abhi tries to explain the situation
and Usha refuses to listen (What...namma Arthi idea work agalaiya? What a shock!!) She
says that she has had enough of friendship and heartache and asks Abhi to leave. Abhi
sadly turns to leave to see at the door ...you guessed it...Adhi standing there foaming at
his mouth. Usha tries to show him the baby but he storms off as usual. The rest of the
family walk in (Abhi has slinked off by now) and Eash asks Usha if Adhi atleast saw the
baby. Usha says yes (as long as Adhi stepped inside that hospital thats counted as seeing
the baby pola!!) Anyway, the rest of the family are admiring the baby except Kanchu. Abhi
slowly comes out from behind a curtain or something and slowly walks away sad.

Jun 5 Wed Update

Scene 1:

Bhaskar is seen with his file. He goes to krishnan sir and says that
he wants to talk to him. He asks krishnan for Rs.50000 that is
missing.(Bhaskar can better try to find Prabhu and Uppu, He seems to
have good knowledge in finding missing items)Krishnan initially
thinks, hesitates and then says Thols had taken it, and the voucher
is yet to be collected.
He goes to Thols and asks for the money. Thols says he never takes
money without signing vouchers. Krishnan points his finger to the 3
lakh incident and also bad mouths Thols-Ganga relationship.
Ganaga who is wathching all this gets up angrily from her chair and
try to hit krishnan sir. Abhi comes from the room along with that old
guy (ex boss). She asks Ganga to say sorry(Without even enquiring
about what had happened, I wonder if abhi is doing any katta
panchayat/Nattamai), Angry Ganga is not willing to say sorry,Thols
interrupts and says that the fault lies with KS. Abhi stops
Thols "Thols neenga pesathinga". (I think abhi should treat
Tholkappiyan properly and give him some respect, she treats Bhaskar
better than Thols)Ganga finally says sorry and leaves the place.
Krishnan sir also apologieses to abhi.

Adhi , kanchu and Eash are talking about getting back Usha to their
house. Eash says that if you dont get back Usha and juniour they will
get more attached to Abhi and you will loose them. For once kanchu
second Eash and convinces Adhi.

Scene 2:

Thols and Ganga in the terrace.
Thols says that Ganga should control her anger and Ganga is even more
angry hearing this and wants to hit krishnan more. Thols wants Ganga
to respect krishnan atleast for his age, Ganga replies that Krishnan
should behave according to his age. (I vaguely remember that this
krishnan behaved badly to his office lady staff, in the initial 100
episodes of kolangal)Ganga says that Abhi is not 'Rani Mangamma' and
she has no right to put orders for Ganga(Correct!)She also adds that
abhi does not treat you like a partner, and will you not get angry if
someone talks badly about your friendship with Abhi(she gives a
ghastly smile)may be one day your friendship is going to break becoz
of this. Thols is confident that it will not happen and leaves. Ganga
says she will separate Thols and abhi using the love Thols have for
Ganga.(Ayyo one more Rekha)

At the office

Bhaskar and krishnan inside a room, Bhaskar says that the receipt for
50000 has been teared and it could not have happened with out Krish's
knowledge. Krish repeats that he is unaware and finally accepts when
Bhaskar shows some evidence. Bhaskar says he will not let Abhi know
this becoz 50000 is not a big amount for her (Who said, I think even
in MNCs 50000 dissapearing will not be taken easily)but Krish should
stand by him to put down Thols. Krish accepts and says that he will
be Bhaskar's true viswasi. Also krish says Thols is behaving like
boss and he also wants to send him out(Krishnan Sir, ofcourse Thols
is the boss if not for Abhi constructions atleast for kolangal)

Scene 3:

Usha, Adhi and co comes with the new born to Adhi's house. Eash asks
Anjali to take arthi but she says she doesn't know. (what happened to
Anjali, she changed after Anu eloped and was friendly with Usha,
today she was angry with Usha, ore confusion pa) Arjun takes the
aarthi and everyone enters(No money put in the arthi thattu)Kanchu is
sitting in the hall in a sofa, Eash asks her to come and see the
baby. Arjun says it is just like her and she gives a sidelook and
slowly walks towards the baby. Usha asks for patti, and Eash says
patti has gone to the temple(May be patti is busy shooting
for 'Lakshmi') Just then the police enters, they call Adhi for an
enquiry, as Prabu, the good Inspector is missing and they have
received information that Adhi had threatened Prabhu and his wife(I
hope something should have happened meanwhile, like Anandhi meeting
IG or so, It was not shown)Adhi leaves to the station, Eash and Kanch
follows them in a car.

Rowdy and her dad are talking when bad inspector(I keep forgetting his name) walks in to tell him that Adi's been taken to the police station for an inquiry. Minister is shocked but bad cop explains that Anandi
heard about the fact that Adi went and screamed at Inspector Prabhu in his house, and therefore as a press person, she has made an issue out of it. Rowdy Rekha is furious, as is her father. Inpector leaves, and minister calls his lawyer and tells him to have all the
lawyers in the law firm ready for his phone call. Rekha wants to go too, but dad says its not a good place for her and leaves.

Scene II: Police station

Adi is there with his parents. Anandi and Bharathi are there too. Easwaran gently approaches Anandi with a "ennammaa ithellam?", but Adi shuts him up and tells him to wait for the minister to show up with the A.C. On cue, minister shows up with the AC and starts yelling at the policeman in charge about how he's wasting an important businessman' s time. Then he tells Anandi to wait outside with the rest of the press, why is she in here when is neither family nor in any way related to the case. Anandi says she has a right to be
here, but questions the minister's right to be here, as an outsider, and as one not related to anyone in the case. Minister brushes that aside and asks for Anandi to be told to wait outside. Anandi is asked to
leave,but she speaks up and reminds them that she's the one who brought the facts of this case to their tention, especially the fact that Adi went and threatend Prabhu and his wife at their house. AC stops
her and tells her that Prabhu's wife shoudl speak for herself, and tells Anandi to leave. Anandi and Bharati leave, then minister yells at the policeman who took Adi in for questioning. Policeman says that he's sorry but he's answerable to a lot of people, what could he do, when the wife of a missing policeman says she was threatened.

Minister asks the policeman why he doesnt think that maybe she was lying, besides, that Anandi is the sister of Adi's enemy, she may just be causing problems by pretending to be an insulted woman + reporter. Policeman(very respectfully, I must add) then says that in that case he will talk to both of them separately, but minister says that Adi should be left out of this, minister will not allow a citizen, that too a VIP to have his time wasted like this. Policeman looks hesitant
to let Adi go, but AC forces him to and the policeman finally agrees to let Adi go. Adi stalks out angrily and glares at Anandi waiting outside. As Easwaran tells his son to cool down, Minister takes him away. Now its gujju mami's turn to glare at Anandi. Anandi glares
back and leaves in a huff.

Scene III: Adi's house

Usha is home with her baby and parents. Arjun stands by. Then Adi's parents come home. Shehnai plays mournful music in the background.Arjun rushes up to ask what happened, where's Adi, but Easwaran says it turned out okay, and walks in. Usha worriedly asks Easwaran why
Adi's not home yet, and Easwaran says there was no problem. Gujju mami predictably dumps on Usha and blames her raasi and the time of her baby's birth, and the time the baby entered the house and that's why gujju mami's baby went to the police station. usha protests tearfully, but gujju mami calls the baby a monster, and reiterates that the baby and Usha are responsible for why Adi was taken to the police station. Kanchu says that Abi and Anandi are giving Adi a lot of trouble, (how's that Usha's fault?) and when everyone protests, Kanchu disrespectfully throws Usha's parents out of the house. Wimpy Moustache doesnt insist that they stay, instead he sappa kettu kettufies. Arjun joins in and politely send usha's anguished parents
on their way. usha is crying and protesting, but Easwaran assures Usha's parents that she will be taken care of. They believe the b*st*rd and leave.

Scene IV: Construction site

The maestri comes up to Abi and Krishnan and tells them that the latest batch of bricks are very bad. He rates by hitting two of them together and they break apart and fall on the ground. Abi is shocked, and asks Krishnan what's going on. Krishnan says he doesnt
know what happened and asks the maestri what happened. Maestri says that the last load had not been baked properly, and now this batch seems completely burned. Abi says she wants to talk to the brick seller, maestri says he's on his way here. When he arrives, Abi shows him the horrid brick, and reminds him that quality is very important, and that she's never bargained with him before, but she needs quality supplies from him. Brick dude replies that this is the first time, he'll make sure it doesnt happen again. But Abi reminds him that she doesnt just get bricks from him, she also buys her
sand, gravel and wood, if this is the quality of goods, how will she answer to the people who entrusted her with this project. Again brick guy says this is the first time, then Abi says that she doesnt know this is the first time, maybe he's always been supplying poor quality goods, what kind of fraud is this. Brick dude's righteous anger is awakened and he tells her to stop
calling it fraud, that the people with her are the ones doing fraud, Abi says what? Then brick dude says that Thols is the one who asked him to send bad quality goods, and that Thols will take care of things as long as Thols gets his share of the comission. Abi is shocked!!!! Shocked! BUT SHE BELIEVES A TOTAL STRANGER WHEN HE ACCUSES HER CLOSE FRIEND OF FRAUD???? IDIOT DESERVES TO HAVE HER BUSINESS FOLD LIKE SOME WELL MADE FILO DOUGH. AAAARGH. Then brick dude says that he's given Thols lakhs of rupees, to ask him about it and then to ask him about this other issue.

Some high ranking police officer office

Mandiri and Aadhi are sitting. Mandiri is questioning the cop. He says that Abhi and Thols are the accused in the Ranjini murder case and they are out on bail. Now a VIP is being asked to come to the station, Mr. Aadhi for Inspector Prabhu missing case. The cop tries to explain that wife of the missing officer... but then the mandiri interrupts in the end the cop says Ranjani murder case is a real mystery and they are getting a new officer Mr. Thillairajan on thecase. The cop raves about the new officer taking charge in the background and Mr. Thillai rajan midukkaga vberandah vil nadandu cop room pakkam vandu kondirukinraar. The raving is about the honesty of Mr. Thillai rajan. MR. Thillai enters the office and gives a stiff salute. The cop introduces the new officer in charge and Aadhi's face is all concerned. The mandiri and Aadhi leave the office and Aadhi is all worried about the new development. THillai comes and falls at the feet of the mandiri. Aadhi is all surprised. Mandiri explains thatThillai is one of his boys who he helped and that getting Thillai on the case was his doing. Aaadhi is all admiration and relief. Thillai gets a call and explains that some body has been found fully burnt and the mandiri asks to keep him posted

Abhi office

Kich kich, ganga, Bhaskar, Krishnan saar and Abhi are in meeting. Bhaskar has got a vetri perumidha look. Krishnan saar maatikittan look. Kichkich is talking about a partner getting a commission and suggests that if it was him he would get rid of such partner. Abhi has got a thoughtful look. Ganga has got a kind of guilty look - her eyes keep darting around. Krishnan saar talks about the lakhs and Kich kich asks him to keep quiet for Abhi is thinking about the decision to be made and not rush her. Thols walks in and is told about the people waiting in the meeting. Thols walks in and Abhi asks him about other stuff - status of some government stuff Thols answers and then he leaves. Everyone is stunned and Abhi says that is not the moment to ask. Kichkich agrees and then all of them but Bhaskar leave. Bhaskar wants to know more. Abhi says she knows about Thols. Bhaskar kind of challengingly asks what she knows about him. Abhi very politely tells him she owes him no explanations. His family situation and her promise to his father made her give him the job and she would be happy if he did his job. Bhaskar face falls and after a small silence says he is sorry and leaves. (what a scene. Thoroughly enjoyed Abhi telling off Bhaski. That too very politely and quietly. Now Bhaski knows for sure that Abhi has no romantic ideas in her head about him)

burning place

Htillaiis there and police are looking through the embers. Anandi and the other guy are also there. The other guy asks questions and Thillai kind of answers irritatedly. Anandi flares up and says they are doing their duty as press reporters. A police star is found among the embers and Thillai asks them to be careful with the hones for there maybe flesh pieces sticking. Thillai says to Anandi that just skulls have been found. Anandi says that some influential people are interested in the Ranjani case and that Prabhu was a good officer and some people in the police force did not like that aspect. Thillai gets real annoyed and says just skull and that too two have been found and also a police star. They have to wait for report to confirm. Anandi goes on and on and Thillai says not to make any assumptions for it has to be confirmed by medical reports. He leaves
the place and Anandi questions the other officer who was there. He also repeats that one has to wait for confirmation by the tests. Thillai goes near his car and dials of course it is to mandiri. He says a skull has been found and also another one. Mandiri asks ennayya idhu? The pieces are loaded onto van and everybody leaves. Thillai is standing by the van and Anandi and the other guy pass him. Thillai asks Anandi which newspaper and she answers. The other guy (kannadi fellow neengal ketta paadal guy) takes a picture of thillai

Office

Ganga and Thols are talking. Ganga asks Thols whether heknew why he was asked to come to the meeting. Thols says it was to ask the status of certain papers. Ganga explains that there is talk that he got commision and it was to confirm it. But then Thols says Abhi does not have such doubt that is why it was not touched upon. Ganga says perhaps Abhi has strong evidence that is why she did not bother. Gangas asks to leave that aside and asks why Abhi grilled him over the 3 lakhs he had taken. Thols says that was office money and that is why she asked. Ganga says Thols and Abhi are partners but Thols is treated as an employee. Thols also gives some explanation. Ganga then says that for Bhaskar's fathers treatement and funeral expenses lakhs were taken from company money. Thols says that is Abhis right. Ganga comes right back and says why make noise when Thols takes a penny? Thols kind of says he does not care. Ganga says if Thols expects some relationship from gAnga he needs to change and till such changes take place Affection will not be shown from the other side and asks Thols whether he understood and she leaves. (Looks like Ganga has successfully created ripples in Thols mind)

Mandiri house

Thillai, Viswam, Aadhi and Mnaidi are in meeting. Mandiri says the two skulls are that of uppi and Prabhu. Thillai says one cannot be sure of that. Mandiri says that the bodies can be of anyone but their story screenplay would go like that. Viswam with a grin says he has understood perfectly. Mandiri questions further on the formalities. Thillai explains that the bodies have burnt completely and they have to use the small poieces of flesh and blood stuck on bones to identity. The kulls would have to be taken to lab and superimposed to find out whether one of them was Prabhu. The blood from the flesh and the blood from Prabhus father/brothers would be checked for DNA and found whether it was Prabhus and that would take 15 days. Mandiri praises Thillai for knowing things inspite of being one of his boys. Mandir wants the report to say that the bodies are of thillai and Uppi. Thillai says there is one hitch and that is Anandi and that she is taking a keen interest in the case and one cannot make even a small mistake. Mandiri says something about a big mistake. Aadhi has an even grin on his face

Scene I
Abhi's home

Anandi is debriefing the household about what transpired with respect to Inspector Prabhu. She tells them that Adi had gone to Inspector Prabhu's home and threatened his wife, and that now the Inspector is missing and possibly dead. She speculates that Adi and the Minister are behind the Inspector's disappearance/death. Anu gets angry and tells Anandi not to show her "pathrikkai budhi" and to stick to just writing fiction. Anandi snaps back at Anu that she doesn't know about Adi's "innu orra mugham," which is maha mattam! Anu tries to fight back, and as expected, the female Pinocchio (Pinnochia?), Aarthi, jumps into the fray. She begins to list Adi's sins...ransacking their home, placing a bomb at Abhi's construction site, letting loose rowdies during Bhoomi Poojai...and now...killing the Inspector (she forgot to include his recent sin of "lack of dressing sense" at his sister's nitchiyadhartam)!! Anu concedes that Adi has a short fuse, but that doesn't mean they should say such rotten things. Aarthi repeats the list of deeds, and Mano comes to his wife's support and tells Aarthi to be quiet. Aarthi wonders why Mano, who is so quick to support his wfe, never spoke in his family's defense when Anu bad-mouthed them so many times (I agree). She accuses him of being selfish. Abhi finally butts in and tells Aarthi to go away and "just shutup!" Everyone goes through their respective doorways. Abhi asks Anandi if there could be any doubts about the identity of the bodies, and that perhaps it wasn't Prabhu. Anandi runs through all the reasons why it's almost certain that the body is Prabhu's. She also tells Abhi that the second body might be Upendra's, and warns Abhi to be careful because there appears to be a lot of mystery behind the whole case.

Scene 2
Adi's House.

Usha running upstairs with a milk bottle (???? she is using a bottle to feed the newborn?????) while the baby is crying like mad. Usha stops short at the entrance to the bedroom, and glances at Adi, who is sitting up in the bed, reading a self-help book and trying to ignore the baby. Downstairs, Eshwaran starts to get out of bed to check on what's happening, but Kanchana orders him to stay put (she is also secretly teaching him to roll over and play dead...oops, he already does that second trick). He exhales loudly and gets back into bed. Meanwhile, the camera moves back and forth between Adi, the baby and Usha for about 5 minutes. Adi gets up from the bed, about to go over to check on the kid, but sees Usha standing at the doorway. He promptly exits the room and Usha FINALLY gives the poor baby the milk.

Scene 3
Abhi's House

Arthi gets disturbed by the konjals and siNungals going on in the
newly weds room and comes out to sleep with KKK in the hall. Anu runs
out to drink water, sees MIL and Arthi. while going back, MIL stops
her and tells her 'pandhamaa nandundhukkO' since 3 other girls are in
the house. thats it..royal rakshashi gets really miffed and gives it
good to MIL and says if her daughters are not living with their
husbands and not married, shd she be a sanyasi as well? and storms in
the room, asking MIL to admonish her son.
abhi observes this silently and KKK is shocked beyond means. anu also
shuts arthi up.

Scene 4
Thols goes to meet the supplier and asks him why he told abhi that
Thols got commission money to look the other way when sub-standard
material was supplied? the guy thenaavettaa replies, what made Thols
realize that he would be given three lakhs in cash, without such
expectation? Thols says all he wanted was a loan; now the guy says, it
was understood that he would try to take advantage of the situation.
now he wants the money back from the rOshakkaara mama..(unakku meesai
edhukkadaa? but this second part would be more appropriate if someone
else sings at the supplier since his meesai was larger than Thols'.(in
fact larger than his own face) He brings blank stamp paper for Thols
to sign, Thols demurs, guy says even for a paltry sum of 5 or 10
thousand, folks sign these; with an amt as huge as 3 lakhs, why shd
Thols hesitate? Thols stupidly signs the blank papers. AFter thols
leaves, meesaimama comments to his aLLakkai that with this yEmaandha
sONagiri, anything is possible and he is going to leverage this
document well against him..

Scene 5
anandhi offers solace and comfort words to Kalaivani/rani - inspector
prabhu's wife; his dad is also worried whether his son is dead or
alive; prabhu's son gets his dad's cell phone and TC brings another
supposedly tense heartbeat moments to us....not realizing that we are
ready to call his bluff anytime. naambaLaavadhu asarardhaavadhu...no
chance.. we know that it is going to be a buswaanam. anandhi goes
thru' the video clippings in the phone, per son's instructions and
conveniently the charge goes off and son gets sent inside by mom.
Thols also comes in to offer his two paisa comfort. anandhi feels
maybe Prabhu is in hiding to flush out the criminals..they do not seem
to know that it is upendra he went with. also, wont the wife or a
reporter of any caliber be at least curious to
check the cell phones to look at the last calls made/received, just in
case, when the person in question is considered absconding or even
dead? but no, anandhi's reporter instincts go in the wrong
way....maybe thats why she is not an investigative officer.
Anandi promises to help with the investigation...
