Update for Wed May 17-2006


Scene 1


Mano seen working in a garage (when did he join the new job?) and furtively looking at the door. the owner comes in asks him about a vehicle whether it has been repaired. Mano says not yet done and now his colleague mechanic replies that mano has already repaired the vehicle and delivered it also but he has forgotten it. The owner scolds Mano and says you should take care about the work that you are doing. Again mano keeps looking at the door and now in comes Rajesh. Mano signals to him that the owner is nearby. Rajesh now goes to the owner and says Mano is his relative and his mother has been admitted in hospital. Mano is immediately called and then Rajesh tells him his mother is admitted in hospital and Rs.150000 is required and I could only manage Rs.5000 only. . We need more money,he says. Mano now requests the owner to help him out. He immediately offers Rs.5000 and says you come tomorrow and take the balance money. He asks Rajesh which hospital is she admitted? Rajesh stutters and Mano tells the name of the hospital . Now the owner asks Mano how you know the name of the hospital. But mano manages to save the situation saying that that is the regular hospital where she goes and they escape. in the same auto.



Scene 2



Tc with cahier in Abi's office. Bhasksr comes in and returns the money to the cashier. The cashier is puzzled and asks him why he returned—if you want I can ask Abhi to give more money? Bhaskar says I am just returning the money and starts coming out. But TC goes behind him as usual and starts to dole out some advice. He asks bhaskar why you returned the money. Bhaskar says he does not want to be seen begging for money. He says he is smart and can come up in life. He also says he lost 2 things in life—one was his father and the other –literally a treasure, Abhi. He again chides TC for giving unwanted advice and tells Tc that he should restrict himself to just giving him the money when Abhi gives him and stop from giving unsolicited advice.



Scene 3



Big scene in ganga's houe. Thirmulachari looking very angry and mapillai having a field day explaining the incident which he saw from the car about ganga helping out a prostitute. He tells FIL that you have such a impeccable reputation in society and your daughter behaved in such a low level that he stooped to help out a prostitute. He further says he was travelling with a vip industrialist and did not want to get embarassed in front of the industrialist and hence he did not get down. Thirmulachari asks him how he knows the industrialist. He says he did a small favour to him long back and hence he supports him now. He also says that industrialist has high regard for Thirmulachar and so because of that he also gets some more respect and help. Now ganga walks in and asks mapillai what face you have got to talk all this.She further says you are a loafer in this house and just eating and going out daily and coming home drinking and then goes to your wife also with out any shame. Compared to you that prostitute was far better because she did this to support and feed her daughter. And now he tells her father that I know you will never like me but don't pass judgements on me just because this fellow is telling you.

She leaves the house and meets Upendra who again asks her about the money. He says he has spoken to California people and I will return the money to you before I leave India,he assures her.He says if you can't give me money immediaely then the purpose of taking money will be lost. She thinks again and says she will do something and arrange the money by evening.



Scene 4



Ganga comes to office and sees the cashier talking to Tc. Cashier says there are some creditors we have to pay money. He gives the example of one supplier to whom they have to pay 5 lakhs. Tc now says if we have money better to settle it . Cashier says we can even postpone it because the supplier is not presing for it. Tc does not agree saying we should pay when we can afford to pay it. Casher just gives him the cash and tells him to go and pay it. ( why cash instead of cheque?)

Ganga watches all this and when cashier goes away she meets Tc separately. Tc gets a call saying one of their lorries has hit a wall and the people there are creating problems and they ask him to come immediately. Tc says he will come now and keeps the phome down. Ganga tells him that the suppler's office is not on the same route as our site and hence I will better give this money to the supplier and u can concentrate on the site problem immediately. Tc gives the money and tells her to take due receipt for it.



Scene 5



Adhi family and Kishore family in the saree shop and we see all present except Usha (if I am wrong, pl correct me!) Lot of friendly banter going around. The salesman is struggling toshow a saree but Kishore says show us a more rich saree. Anu is looking totally glum and Anjali is talking in a very pleasant way. (cannot imagine same girl committing suicide!). When everyone likes a saree, Anjali tries tio check it out and Arjun says the saree is for Anu only and don't grab Kishore also! Everyone laughs and Anjali says she is selecting for Anu only. Kishore again asks whether any other richer saree is there--he is repeating richer and not costlier? But the salesman responds by saying this saree costs Rs.100,000 and if you want more costly saree, then you might give the design and order it separately.Kishore immediately accepts the idea.Anu still looking glum and kishore asks her why she is looking so glum, she says she has headache. Kishore asks whether he should get some tablets? Kishore is ragged by others now for showing o much concern for Anu. Now Adhi says he has a surprise which he will tell later.

The topic shift to buying thaali and immediately the scene also changes and we see now Rajesh/mano in a jewellary shop trying to buy a thaali. The shop owner says this is the smallest thalli that is available and we don't have any cheaper one further. Rajesh says they don't have much money and hence they want to buy the cheap one only. Now the shop owner says his daughter also had a love affair and bought a thaali like this and married some one and hence he is having a soft corner for love birds .Now he gives the thaali and blesses mano. Mano tells rajesh to take the thaali but rajesh says he is very unlucky in this love affairs. He sarcastically sdays for one, I got two girls but what happened now, he asks? Mano now takes the thaali.

updates for monday 22nd may

anu's marriage is in full progress.

rajesh and mano are making needful arrangements with few goondas and rajesh friends confirming and reassuring about things intact.mano calls anu but is picked by anu's grandma who doesnt answer it.

Grandma then goes and meets karpagam and informs that the marriage bt anu and mano shdnt take place and she will do the needful to stop anu and karpagam shd stop mano at any cause.

Ganga informs abhi about bhaskar joining the company for maintaining accounts.

Ganga's sister uma narrates the incident about the big shots misbehaviour with her under the pretext of listening to her music.She cries uncontrollably and emotes to ganga.Ganga consoles her and asks her to forget about the incident.

Ganga meets the old man and conveys her wish about fullfilling his wish. she also states that her sister doesnt know the value and ran away and she is not of that type as she will watch and enjoy the whole scene.
Hearing this the old man is rejoiced and sits beside her and puts his hand on her.She proceeds saying in her school days one teacher approached her with a wrong intention and she started kicking him badly saying this so she removes her slipper and slaps him left and right.
She also warns him not to disclose this to anyone as it will be a great insult to him.

tuesday highlights :

--Karpagam confronts Mano along with anandhi and asks him to cut off any thought about anu if he want to remain in the house. Mano is still defiant but does not reply.

--The most abaththum thing happening--bhaskar is now working in abhi office. TC sees this and asks krishnan about this and now ganga says she recommended to abhi who agreed. TC gets very angry and says who are you to intervene in this matter? do u know what all transpired between Abhi and bhaskar? He says he will spealk to abhi.

--Usha with anu in a restuarant.usha gets a call from her dad and moves little away to get a better signal. Now mano comes and talks to anu who says situation is desperate. Now usha returns and finds mano. She does not suspect anything and ,mano/anu act as strangers. But the whole scene is seen by Rekha who is recording it in her mobile.

--kishore comes to adhi's house and chats with anjali/adhi's mother. Now he goes to anu's room to see her and ask her to come out for shopping. Anu at that time is seeing the buddha statue that as given by mano. kishore touches anu's hand and the statue slips and is broken. anu flies into a rage and shouts at kishore saying how can u come here without knocking the door--no culture or whta?
kishore just walks out of the room. All the family except adhi watch the scene aghast.

--mano with rajesh and tells about problems in his house. Rajesh tells mano not to go home till his marriage is over

Update for Wed May 24-2006

Scene 1

In Adhi's house, Kanchana,mother,Anjali,Usha are all looking very sad and upset. Adhi comes in and asks what is the matter. Anjali tell about what happened and Adhi gets very furious and says how can anu talk in that way with kishore? She is going to be his wife and even if the statue is broken by mistake, she can't talk like that. Now he rushes upstairs and starts shouting at Anu. He says so many people were ready to give their girls to Kishore but he chose our family and you can't behave like that . Now he proceeds to dial Kishore's mobile. In the meanwhile we see kishore coming into Adhi's house and gets the call from Adhi who is profusely apolegetic and says sorry for whatever happened. Kishore says nothing to worry and soon appears before Adhi. Now he gives a bag (almost like a garbage bag) to Anu and tells her that he is very sorry for breaking her Buddha statue and in turn he has bought 10 buddha statues to her. Anu just keeps the bag by the side and does not say anything.

Scene 2

Mano's boss comes to Mano's house and sees Aarthi. He gives Rs.5000 to her saying Mano wanted Rs.10000 for his mother's treatment and this is the balance amount. He also enquires how is Mano's mother. Aarthi is flabbergasted but murmurs some reply and takes the money. Karpagam on listening to this is shocked and says she thought Mano was so innocent and now he has stooped to this extent of making me sick .

Scene 3

Upendra in a dilapidated house and sees the same guy who earlier agreed to give a gun to him (after upendra's release from Karnataka jail). Upendra gets the gun and the bullets and checks the barrel and after satisfying himself gives the man Rs.50000. The man tells Upendra to be careful but Upendra goes away unmindful of the man's words.

Scene 4

Police doing a check up of vehicles on the road in the night and now we also see a jeep with some goonda like people come near the spot in the wrong direction. Inspector asks police to check out the vehicle and they say they are minister's people. In the meanwhile, we now see Upendra walking towards the police.Upendra realizing the presence of police, tries to hide. Inspector notices this and tells a constable to see who has suddenly gone into hiding after spotting us. Constable sees upendra near a wall and asks him to turn around. He puts a torch on upendra's face and recognizes him and shouts out to the inspector upendra's name. Inspector rushes into the vehicle and calls for chasing upendra. The minister's goondas also hear the word upendra and they call up minister and tell him upendra is around and police is sgiving chase to him. Minister says catch him before police gets him. So we now see a very comical sight of police vehicle behind upendra and goonda's vehicle behind police. But none can catch upendra who is merely running! Upendra finds a convenient wall and he just jumps over and disappears. Police inspector stops the vehicle and looks around but upendra is gone!.Inspector finds a envelope with some money lying and he sees that on the envelope abi constructions address is printed.
Minister's goons report toi minister that upendra has given the jhoot to police and minister gets very angry and disappointed at his men.
(so much peela today with upendra running with 2 vehicles in hot pursuit for a long time but still cannot catch!).

Scene 5

Anandhi talks with karpagam and tells her not to imagine the worst. Mano is not so bad. He left the house and may be he is not having money and so he must have thought up some excuse and that is why he must have said you are sick, she suggests. Karpagam is not convinced—she says even if I have a headache,mano is so upset and now he has so much courage to tell lies about me being sick. All this is happening because of that girl she is loving. Now I don't know what further things are going to happen,she says. Anandhi keeps telling karpagam think in a positive way, nothing will happen. Mano will come back.

Scene 6

Anu in her room and has now assembled the broken Buddha statue together and is looking at it. Also the 10 bidhha statues are from kishore also nearby. She looks at the Buddha statue given by mano and recollects about the good time she had with Mano. Now Patti comes in and tells her she knows why she is so attached to that particular statue because it was presented by mano. Anu gets up, looking shocked. Patti goes on and says you are just a young girl looking at only love for mano but look at other things also—kanchana has so much love for you and will be devastated if she hears about this and will commit suicide,. If anything happens to kanchana, I will also not like to live in this world anymore. See how much adhi has got affection for you. You know very well about how adhi's marriage became a big mess. We all are waiting to have your marriage in a big way so as to bring some happiness for this family.So saying, she says if you want I am ready to fall on your feet even for some mercy from you and falls on anu's feet. Anu is shocked and mumbles something and pulls patti up. Patti now says I have nothing further to say, you decide what to do and leaves the room.
Faced with such emotional appeal from patti, anu is very distressed and thinks what to do next.

Update for 29th may

<b>Anu elopes with Manohar from the hospital chased by Aadhi</b>

Tholkappian informs abhi's family about anu's hospitalisation and consoles them not to get excited about manohar as he wont get into troubles.aarthi, anandhi also joins with him to convince karpagam.

Rekha and her father discusses that anu would be escaping from the hospital.( i dint watch this segment clearly)

Rajesh and manohar plans to escape from the hospital with anu. Rajesh and his friend disguise themselves as ward boys and one of them informs deepa venkat in the room that the doctor wants to talk to deepa about anu.only paati is with anu. then rajesh makes a call to hospital and calls for patti .when patti leaves the place he and his attendant gets in and prepares anu for escape by giving surgeon and patient gown.anu also hurridely slips off in the gown and gets in the wheelchair. Seeing this mano decides to stand behind the car ready to take off and runs speedily.

Rajesh cuts the phone for patti's and patti after waiting for the calls returns back to the room.Anu is hidden by a whitecloth and dragged in wheel chair by rajesh. She sees her paati and touches her feet.

Deepa goes to doctors room and learns that doctor dint call. addhi informs her that anu will be discharged today and ask her to make the necessary arrangements and deepa leaves followed by aadhi. on the way she meets fast running mano and have a casual/friendly talk with him which is watched by aadhi . then deepa leaves after manohar says that his friend is in ICU and he is in a hurry to meet him.

Rajesh and his attendant take her in the lift where aadhi is also there discussing over the phone to someone about anu's illness. anu sits with full shiver.

then they hurriedly go to the lobby. aadhi suddenly becomes suspicious and goes behind them and sees anu running to a maruti van accompanied by mano and the van speds away. he takes his car and chases their van.

-- Adhi gives chase to anu & co.After some distance they escape and
adhi is furious. He calls his secretary and tells him to go to the
karthik travels and find out abt the vehicle.He then tells minister
and tells him to find out. rekha is very happy.
--giri goes to travels with gang and bashes up the owner . they try
for the driver's mobile but can't reach him.
--minister calls police and tells him to go to manu's garage. in the
garage, the men give clue about rajesh visiting there.
--adhi tells minister that we should threaten mano's mother in such a
way that mano will come back
--adhi/minister/goondas go to mano's house and beat up aarthi. adhi
tells her your husband took away and they try to abduct
aarthi/karp[agam. Now anandhi comes and threatens minister to expose
in press. She also tells adhi that your sister was only behind mano
and anu was not so innocent. Mano did not kidnap anu as u think.
Minister says let us grab these women but adhi says to anandhi that if
what u are saying is right, then i will kill anu and if not true, then
i will kill all of you

Update for Wed May 31-2006

Scene 1

Adhi threatening Anandhi and says if what she says about Anu turned out to be true, then he will kill Anu and if it turned out to be false, then he will kill Anandhi and her family.After he,minister and other gang members storm out, Karpagam and Anandhi think what to do. Anandhi now calls up TC and tells him the matter and asks him to come home as they are all very tense.



Scene 2



Police inspector comes to rajesh's house and meets a waiting goonda group who identify the house to the police. The combined police/goonda team now enters the house and start searching the house frantically. Sundari comes and the inspector questions her about Rajesh and he now gets very angry at her saying your man has kidnapped a girl of a big family and so saying he beats her.Her MIL comes and she is also insulted. Now Rajesh's brother and Kala come in (all will come by turn only to get hammered!) Rajesh's brother is beaten badly and a goonda now pushes him against a pillar and twists his arm (likely fracture) badly. Inspector now threatens everyone and tells them to give word about Rajesh when they know something.. Kala is very upset and pushes Sundari saying she is responsible for all this.Rajesh's brother is grimacing with pain.



Scene 3



Giri with his stooges and he calls someone about the vehicle carryine Anu. He gets a favourable answer and gets into the vehicle with his gang.



Scene 4



Giri on the road watching all sides and on the look out of the vehicle. Soon enough, the vehicle from Karthick travels comes and Giri and co try to follow it. After a long chase, they corner the vehicle. The vehicle stops and they come and bash up the driver. When they now open the door, they find someone else and the driver says he has left Mano/anu near vadapalani signal. Giri gets very angry and takes out a knife and points at the driver's throat. The driver just says he does not know anything further. He also says there was no kidnapping because the boy and the girl were in love and were talking normally.

Giri now calls up Adhi who is with Minister on the road and tells him the happenings. He now tells Adhi that the shocking thing is that Anu looks like gone willingly with Mano because she was in love with that boy as per the driver of that vehicle. Adhi gets shocked and says what Abhi's sister told has turned true and he will kill Anu.Adhi tells Giri to check out the temples near by and ensure Anu is stopped before she marries Mano.



Scene 5



When the scene started, my wife said today seems to be the bashing up day and the next person to get it might be Usha! But she escapes this time!
Kanchana,Patti,Easwar,Anjali,Usha in a sad mood in the house. Kanchana is inconsolable and says after adhi's wedding fiasco, she thought Anu's wedding will bring lot of cheer.. Soon, Adhi walks in and he tells Kanchana about Anu being in love with that Mano and hence she has run away with that boy. Kanchana is shocked and Adhi says he will bring Anu alive here or dead even. So saying he storms out pushing away Usha who tries to stop him and he tells Easwar to keep away from this.

Luckily for Usha, Adhi still has yet recollected her meeting Mano in the hospital--may be saved for the next episode!

Brief outline for Thur June 1

Well nothing much happened today--here goes the story--

-- TC with his gang friends come to Karpagam's house. Tc listens to everything annd says we can't go to police really. Mano is also at fault and we have to look for ways to save him. He then leaves and keeps the gang in the house as protection for karpagam.Anandhi says rajesh is also involved. So he asks aarthi to come with him.

-I missed this part.But I saw Aarthi in Rajesh's house and getting firing from Kala.

--Kanchana with her family telling that she treated anu fairly etc and never expected this. Now she calls adhi on mobilke and tells him that anu must come back here at all costs but kill that mano--whatever happens to u will be taken care by me, she says

--rajesh with mano in a house somewhere. rajesh has sent a friend to buy tickets for bangalore. He tells mano that it is safer for you to be in bangalore rather than in chennai.
Now the friend comes back and says lot of searching is going on for you and so I got scared and did not buy the tickets. Rajesh gets angry and says he will go and buy the tickets. Mano says it will be risky but still rajesh says he will take care.

--easwar comes to karpagam's house. Tc's gang do not allow him in. But karpagam sees him and tells them to let him in. Easwar says sorry again and again to karpagam. She says after your family came here only all teh problems started. First adhi began torturing abhi and now your anu has trapped mano and what harm we have done for suffering like this? Easwar says sorry and says I will ensure mano is safe.

Ok, here is a brief update for friday

-- Mano and Anu in a bride/groom attire. Mano says you are looking very beautiful in saree. further he says rajesh has gone to buy tickets to bangalore. But anu refuses and says we have to be here and shd not run away.

--TC/aarthi in vehicle searching. AArthi says I know rajeh's friends and so i will look out. Soon ,they see rajessh's friend on the road but he does not disclose anything. TC gives him his mobile and tells him that if he finds rajesh tell him to contact me.

--Tc with abhi in vehicle and tells her the things. Now mano calls TC and he gives the phone to abhi. Abhi is told by TC to speakj calmly. Mano says sorry but abhi says we are all depending on u but look what u have done. Now mano says he is at alandur registrar office. Abhi starts moving towards that office.

--rajesh comes out of travel agence with the tickets but a rowdy group on the look out for him blocks him and beats him up badly.

--abhi/tc meet mano/anu in registrar office. abhi gets very angry with mano and says you know how much difficulties we had uin life but you have betrayed us. But anu now says we have done nothing wrong--we are in love. I have also abandoned my parents/adhi etc for love. She says we are respecting you and so please accept us.

Now adhi's vehicle comes in and he comes in and looks at the scene.

June 5, 2006 - Monday updt

Adhi gets down to fight dirty. He screams and rants and raves at Anu, who is as cool as a cucumber. Anu asks him to stop his litany and says she knows the truth and has known it for a long time now. And that is about her parentage and how she was a mere vElaikaari's daughter. and as such, Adhi always held her in contempt. Adhi is now stunned and so are the others around. the rowdy gangs seems awful interested in this new development and Mano sort of looks disappointed; (chee, mamanaar veetu varumbadi pOchE! if not now, at least in the distant future, he was banking on that to keep his own mechanic shop but now this?) Abhi just looks on with a horsy expression..(nostrils flaring);

Anu says she never belonged in their household and she was always a stranger and that being the truth, what is it to Adhi if she marries the man of her choice? Adhi says is this the repayment they get for bringing her up all these years, hiding the truth from all; and think of how much his amma will be shattered by this act of Anu's and how much amma banked on Anu and what about their family maanam and mariyaadhai..She has kolachufied that. Anu says, see, you are talking like this to me because in your hearts, you think of me as a vElaikaari's daughter only; otherwise you would be more bothered about my life; but no, it is your precious family's social standing that bothers you the most; and she categorically states that she has decided to marry Mano and she knows for sure he was not after her money or wealth; and so it should be good riddance to their family; Adhi is furious, sees red, and whips out his gun; True to his earlier character disposition, he brings out a gun from his pyjama bottom and holds it up to Anu's head. Meanwhile we see Thols' neck threatened by a knife of Adhi's goonda and another one near Mano.

Just then, the friendly inspector comes and looks like Thols had the good sense to place a call to him and summon him in anticipation of Adhi's eccentric behaviour. The inspector says, why all this fuss? after all it is a love affair and both are majors and ok, it is disheartening for the family, but these things happen. A loitering reporter sticks up his head, recognizing Adhi and he is being led away by the police; he protests he wants to get the scoop abt the noted Adhi family; Now Abhi says, ok, so far, i have been neutral but this gun-whipping act of Adhi's has made up my mind; I will endorse this marriage; Adhi swears vengence and curses at Anu. He tells her that as far as he and his family are concerned, she is as well as dead; and pity her if she thinks she can lead a happy life with this useless guy. Also, ava amma buddhi dhaana avaLakkum irukkum; Anu says, i don't care, since this no longer concerns you, you better remove yourself from this place and Adhi says, Abhi, so far you have been only my virOdhi as far as our thozhil was concerned; but with this, there is janma pagai. I will torture you all and not let you live in peace; so saying, he walks off, with tears in his eyes; for once, i pitied him. and I fully blame Anu. She shd have had the guts to talk abt this to Kanchana and then get her blessing. Whatever said and done, Kanchu did bring her up like her own daughter and Anu is an ungrateful witch;

They go inside, get married, Abhi signs as groom's witness; Thols as bride's witness; maalai maatrinaaL anu maalai maatrinaaL; vetti pEchu abhi vaazhtha, aadhi manasu kodhikkavE, maalai maatrinaan, manO maalai maatrinaan;

Then Thols hands over a thaali (nalla samayOjitha naNban; vara vazhila policekkum solli, oru manja kayirayum vaangittaanE) to abhi and abhi asks Mano to tie it in Anu's neck. Anu oru look vittuttu (vekkamaam - we have to believe that) bends down her head; then Abhi moves away, with tears in her eyes; ananda kaNNeer or avasara kaNNeer? Mano observes her and Thols asks them to get her blessings; they fall on her feet, and she stops them (why do they do that? in all serials, the elderly, stop the youngsters midway and bless them and ask them why do they have to do that? it is obvious that in our custom, it is only right we get the blessings by falling on their feet; this being so, why stop them midway?) and wishes them to live happily ever after. (knowing fully well it is a very tall order, given the fact that no one in their life has ever had marital bliss; sabikka patta kudumbam - idhul adhu adhugaL Odi pOi kalyanam vEra kattikara) - like KB direction, they should have shown, abhi veettil, kalyana life-na, then outside, KKK asking a kaaikari vendor, kilo enna vilai? or enga kedaikkum?.

A very dejected Adhi walks into his house and holds court; he tells them their chella poNNu Anu has mOsam senjufied all and has married that vElaikkaara Mano. Kanchu is shocked; in fact, Paatti is more shocked than Kanchu. Eashwaran just observes this without any emotions; (me have a feeling this guy is always on kanja or something; otherwise why have a blank expression always?) Anjali does a 'pschu' with her lips; (this disdainful look has been perfected in Selvi and she carries the same here); Adhi yells, what else can you expect from a maid's daughter? even though we considered her one of our own, she proved to be her mom's daughter after all; (why don't they talk abt dad? who was Kanchu's brother?) nobody expresses shock at this revelation; they just look on in confusion; Kanchu rushes in to the room, closes, everyone bangs, Adhi says he will not live if Kanchu did something stupid; at this, kanchu comes out composed and says, this is the end of Anu. no one should ever talk abt her anymore in this house; she walks off;
(seer senathi ellaam marandhu pOyitta pOla irukku? should ask Lakalaka to come list out the andaan and kundaans so Adhi can send in a truck full) probably vethu vEttu paatti and adhai vida periya Vettu MaapLai anuppumO ennavO?
