There is a big conference going on in front of Ganga's house where the jail-returned no-good-BIL of Ganga's comes and demands justice. He asks Ganga to come out and asks why she set him up and she goes on and on about his kaiyaalaagathanam and how just for not giving 5 sovereigns of gold, he has not taken his wife to his house for the past 5 or 6 years but has come here in the night without fail. And how he has taken full liberty with his wife and her family and taken the little savings that his wife had with her music lessons. And it was up to Ganga and her sister to help with their day to day expenses while the father whose job it is supposed to be, keeps mum. The guy says that the fact that he was dragged to the police station did not hurt him much as much as what the police said when they heard him spout good things about his FIL's name...thirumalachary...that was an insult and he feels bad that such a reputed man was dragged into this and Ganga yells at him and her dad for failing in their duty. The waster says that it was the desire of his family to demand that gold and not his and he respects elders and as such was helpless. Having egged his FIL and playing on his image by pampering him, the SIL does his duty and now it is the dad's turn. He turns to Ganga and asks her why is she behaving like a man and it is high time she stopped acting so high-handed and mighty and whatever he says goes in this house and if she cannot abide by his words, she better get out..and why not right now? and goes to hit her and everyone stops and Ganga screams at him. Ganga goes in, sorry, marches in and gets ready to pack her things when the sister stops her. She says let dad say whatever he wants, but you should not move out of the house- I shouldn't be the cause for this and so you should remain here...(there was one other reason but I did not catch that)..Ganga reconsiders.

Adhi's - Arjun calls everyone to the main hall and is holding a letter in his hand. Usha comes down and he tells her, why she kept this all from them? They won a contest and were going to a foreign country, which was their prize.. Usha looks dumb with a small grin and looks confused and Kanchana, Paatti, Anjali are assembled there. Arjun tells Usha, you don't have to hide this from us..come on, tell us what Adhi bhaiya got for you? it says here that he bought an expensive diamond jewellery and tell us what it was? Usha says he did not buy her anything but Arjun says, it says so here, the form clearly says, Mr. and Mrs. Adhi won this contest..so give out, did he get you a necklace or did you get him something? now Kanchana looks suspicious (is son escaping from her clutches?)..Usha tells Arjun that she never went out with Adhi on a shopping trip...Arjun calls Adhi down and asks him if he bought a gift for Usha. Adhi refuses and says he has never taken Usha out shopping. Paatti says, maybe you both forgot (come on, they forgot getting a diamond necklace? - adhu enna kothavarangaaya?) but Adhi and Usha adamantly refuse when a smiling Rekha (too co-incidental) calls out from the entrance and says, she can explain...All look puzzled and she says, Adhi, don't you remember dragging me to a shop last week and getting me a diamond necklace? It was then I filled this form at the salesman's request and look, at the bottom is my signature, Rekha. Adhi smiles, and says, now I remember, I did.

Now Arjun is real mad and says, idhu enna vevasthai ketta thanamaa irukku? and Rekha shows anger and says, why are you talking like this and Arjun says, pinna enna, how can you write Mr.and Mrs. Adhi and sign your name at the bottom? maybe my brother is blind to your intentions but I have been watching how devious you are and your acts in driving a wedge between Adhi and Usha and now Rekha is furious. She asks what was wrong in writing that form and turns to Adhi and he supports her and yells at Arjun to mind his own business and that Rekha is his very dear friend, taking her hand..Arjun says, what you are doing is wrong, brother and you cannot treat Usha like this.. Adhi screams, Paatti looks shocked, Anjali looks amused and now a very visibly relieved Kanchana comes and shushes Arjun. She tells him that as far as she is concerned, Rekha is a daughter-in-law of the house (idhu epdi irukku?) and she is welcome here any time and all times and no one dare say anything against her or they will incur her wrath..and aravaNachufies Rekha and takes her inside, pointing daggers at Arjun and then at Usha...all others just gape....

Arthi enters her old office and informs the receptionist that she is there to see Aravindan, the boss and she calls him up and asks her to go inside. Inside, aravindan exhibits surprise at seeing her and she tells him that she has come to join his concern and tells him that she thinks that is a good solution in repaying his loan. He pretends concern and tells her repaying his dad is his problem and she should not worry about it but she insists. He then asks what Rajesh thought about this and she tells him, frankly, he did not like me coming to work here at all. and I don't fault his thinking for he feels that he did not take the money and me trying to pay off the loan, amounts to him stealing that in the first place and I think what he feels is right but the fact is, we are obligated to you to the extent of 2 lakhs and it is out duty to repay that and asks what her primary duties are. He tells her that she can pick and choose whatever she wants to do in his office, be it administrative/accounts/HR work..and her just being there, is good for the office. He goes one step further and says he will even set her up with her own building business (pOchudaa, another pOtti for abhi) if she so desired (and what does aarthi know abt buildings, again? besides living in two run-down-dilapidated ones? in her lifetime). Arthi hurriedly refuses and asks she be shown to her workstation.

Aravindan immediately summons one of the office staff and orders him to set Arthi up in a cabin similar to his, nearby, with all facilities that he has..including PC, AC, the works...next thing, they show him leading a dazzled Arthi into a cabin that is similar to his and leads her into her executive chair and wishes her. He leaves and goes into his cabin, opens up the Venetian blinds a little (peeks out of two slats) and kangaLaal avaLai vizhunginaan...

Arthi is busy checking the numlock features and hitting the number keys on the right one after the other (practicing her basic accounting skills, maybe, onnu, rendu, moonu, etc.)..looks like she has chosen to be an auditor...(vandi mudhallayE top gearla dhaan keLambum)..a voice, rather asareeri, says, killaadi boss neenga, nenachadhai saadhichuteenga and it is the assistant/driver of Aravindan and asks him how he plans to topple her. Looks like she is not too keen on developing anything of a personal interest in Aravindan. Aravind says, wait and see..with this two-lakh hold over her, I will sure make her fall into my bed.....and will enjoy her....a girl who went away from my office and refused point blank to work for me, came to me on her own accord and is working here now..so what is there to stop me from exploiting on her guilt and debt to make her lose her virginity to me? it will happen...
and the camera freezes on his conniving smile............

ganga once again insults the older sis's husband

alamelu is up to herself again & only this time is speaking for the right casue as she wants bhaskar to go find a job

bhaskar leaves the house in frustation & is picked up by giri , adhi's cheila, & says that bhaskar needs to pay up the 50 lakhs he owns immediately, bhaskar says he will pay it once he finds a job,but the irritating giri takes Bhaskar with him

abhi's house , all are happy about the gifts they received and so is abhi, till the time she finds out that the gifts are from DR Mahesh. As always she insults mahesh and asks him to get of the house
(poor mahesh, dont understand why he wants to be insulted every single time)

Update for Wednesday --Feb 22-2006

Adhi/Bhaskar

Adhi,Giri and several goondas in the background. Bhaskar is
being questioned by Adhi about the 50 lakhs money to be returned.
Adhi asks when he is going to pay the money. Bhaskar stutters and says
he does n't have money now and he will try to pay later. Adhi says you
don't underestimate me, don't ever think u can escape without paying.
He says if Abhi were with you at least, I would have thought she would
have done some nonsense business and might have scrapped the money but
you are useless- what u can do. (sudden confidence in Abhi for
Adhi--very strange!!)
Bhaskar says even if u threaten now I don't have money and u have to
give some more time. Finally Adhi warns him that this is the final
reprieve he is giving and asks him to give the money back in 1 month's
time. (oru velai chappadukku bhaskar lottery addikkiran, eppadi 50
lakhs koduppaan??)
After Bhaskar leaves, Adhi tells something secretly to Giri.

Ganga's house

Ganga's younger sister (vasugi) is being chased by some boys and she
hurries to the house.Her parents are in the house. Iyengar is given
coffee by his wife. He takes a sip and finds it very hot and scolds
her why she can't make it less hot and give. In the meanwhile Vasugi
enters and she says she does not want to go to the college because she
is being chased by some boys and they are near the gate--and so she is
very afraid of going out. Iyengar instead of trying to find out what
is the problem or even console her at least starts hammering her
saying that her salwar khamees dress/make-up,perfume etc only is
attracting these boys and that she is only responsible for this. (She
is dressed in the most conservative way possible and she has to get
such a lecture) He further says you don't need to go to college any
more! Now Ganga walks in and asks him why u are trying to show ur
anger on Vasugi? Now Ganga goes with vanaja to the gate where the 3
boys are still standing. She asks them who is willing to marry her
sister. they reply that they just cam e to see, that is all. Ganga
says if u marry her, u have to take care of her studies, food,
dresses, her children etc--are u all prepared for that? The boys get
perplexed and mumble something. Now Ganga starts firing them left and
right and when one of them starts talking back, She grabs a big stick
and starts chasing them and they run away. At this point, comes our
abatsagayan--TC--who asks what is happening. After Ganga explains the
matter, TC says for this matter involving your sister, you chased them
away but previously for a similiar thing u settled it with Rs.5000.
Ganga says for a right vs wrong thing, she does only the right thing.
TC appreciates her for such a statement but she says don't be so sure,
if it is right thing vs. Ganga she will go the ganga way only. TC says
unga pecche muranbada irukke. She says adhan Ganga.Both wonder why
they are croosing each other regularly.
Again while leaving, Ganga gives a romantic look at TC!

Anandh/TC

Anandhi comes to TC's house and finds it locked. As she looks around,
in comes the long lost Shanti who asks her when she came. Anandhi says
she came to see TC. Now we see TC coming in and Anandhi tells him she
wants to talk something private, looking at Shanti particularly. But
TC tells her to go ahead. Anandhi says their marriage was
postponed--TC agrees saying that was because Abhi had lots of problems
etc-Anandhi further says she wants to drop it. TC asks why-- Anandhi
refuses to give the reason and says u better talk to Abhi about it and
goes away.
TC looks puzzled, Shanti tells him Anandhi came and just says
something and goes away--what is going on? TC says we don't know what
is the matter, rather we will speak to Abi and find out.
And the camera freezes.

So as everyone here predicted, TC takes out Anandhi perhaps making the
line clear for Ganga??

Update for Thursday --Feb 23 2006

-- Bhaskar comes to a old friend for loan of 50 lakhs. He says he will refer to a financier and will tell him later.

-- TC comes to Abi's office and tells her abt Anandhi cancelling the marriage. Abi looks shocked and says she does not know abt it. She immediately rushes out of the office to her home.

-- Abhi comes home and asks Anandhi why she cancelled her marriage. Anandhi says Abhi does not care for herself and so why she, her brother shd care for marriage etc --rather they will stay as brother,sister in this house itself. The conversation further leads to the loose doctor's proposal for Abi.Abi says she has lived with someone and so her mind does n't accept the doctor. Anandhi says u are already divorced, the doctor is also nice.If u behave like this, then i will also not marry TC. Abi gets fed up and tells that everyone is torturing her.Her mother watches all this with agony.

--Rajesh drops a customer near a bar and then goes to the bar himself. He sees the person who had accused him of stealing 2 lakhs rupees.He gives a chase but thee person escapes. Rajesh gets his hotel address. He then phones his wife who is in Arvind's office. Aarthi gives the telephone to Arvind and Rajesh excitedly tells him abt the happenings. Arvind,though initially shocked, tells him that we will catch that fellow. The camera frezes.

Brief outline for Friday --Feb 24 2006

-- Rajesh tells Arvind the location of the person who defrauded him. Now Arvind makes his plans--he gives Aarthi lots of work to do in the office and asks other staff to leave. He then asks his friend to put sleeping tablets in coffee and give to Aarthi. Also tells him to arrange for a video cam.

-- Rajesh goes to the hotel and finds that particular guy has not yet returned to the hotel. He then says he will wait for him outside. Arvind now comes in a bike with a helmet(Rajesh does not recognize him) and signals to some goondas nearby to beat up Rajesh. The goondas do their job promptly and Rajesh lies on the road,beaten up badly.

--Arvind's friend gives the spiked up coffee to Aarthi who passes out after drinking it. When Arvind comes to know that the coast is clear, he comes to his friend and tells him that his intention is to keep Aarthi under his control permanently by taking her videos with him. He then sends his friend away and comes near Aarthi and takes a video of keeping his hands near her.
Next he starts to keep his hand on her, the screen freezes.

Monday Kolangal update from (SWASH2)

engengengO sellum en eNNangaL —-------this depicts Aravindan, the
picker (very decently said in english) who has been dreaming about
seducing a drugged Arthi...and this dream on the road leads him to
hit an oncoming vehicle and he is in an accident. andhO paridhaabam..

Rajesh house - fellow baatshaas bring our broken hero in and stepney
(wife #2) padarufies...ayyO, ennganga aachu,

Sundari unfolds a metal chair and Rajesh sits down. Lakalaka kala watching all this with a smirk and comments that he probably drank too much and was engaged in a fight and this is the result; someone pinni eduthufied him;

Swapnasunday shushes her; Kala is unstoppable; Wife2 says this is not the time or place to talk about this. Rajesh gives both of them a glaring look (actually it was pitiful for he could barely see with only quarter of his
visible; rest was puffed up).

Fellow autokaarans support Rajesh and say he got caught in a bad situation and was pummelled. They tell them that he had been to the doctor and has been given a shot and he is supposed to go see the doc again the next day.

Sundari holds him by the hand and takes him inside the room and Kala watches all this koothu. The fellow AKs say that Kala has a big mouth and gets reprimanded by Kala.

vidiyal kaalam - early in the morning, Kala singing 'veLLi kizhamai
vidiyum vELai, vaasalil kOlamittEn' and does that precisely when a
tired Arthi gets down from an auto, magnanimously asks the auto
kaaran (not her husband a diff one) to keep the change and is being
accosted by Kala right in the road.

Kala asks where she went and what does this maharani think of staying away an entire night and arthi just gives her a look deserved for the house dog and says, kEkkaravanga kEtta, naan sollikkarEn; Inside she sits down and Kala follows her and starts questioning her and doubting her character and that she spent the night with Aravind and is that right for a DIL of this house; Athi says, dont talk asingam and asks her to hold her tongue.

Rajesh walks in slowly and yells at his aNNi to mind her own
business and that he trusts his wife and asks her where had she been.
Arthi gets a good look at him, does the wifely jump, ennganga aachu
ungaLukku, and goes and holds his hands. He tells her he had been
pounded by some local rowdies the previous day and she asks if he had
seen a doctor. He says yes and wife2 comes out, aathufying coffee for
dear hubby.

Arthi takes it from her and continues the task. He then asks her whereabouts and she tells him that Aravind sir wanted some
work finished last night itself and as she was doing it, she became
so tired, she slept in the office and this morning received news that
Aravind sir was involved in an accident the previous night and so she
had visited him in the hospital. Rajesh tells her that the guy
managed to escape and he lost a golden opportunity of finding the
guy, making him confess that he framed rajesh and thereby freeeing
Aravind's money and not be indebted to him. Arthi says you shouldn't
have tried to tackle him yourself.

She then says she will take Rajesh to the doctor. Ottikittadhu wants
to accompany them but kattikittadhu says no, you stay here and make
kanji for our husband; let me take him and takes her handbag (runs
in the family, i suppose) in one hand, draws Rajesh out with another.
Kala is watching all this from the side.

As they leave, she remarks to her sister that she is bound for heartache and has to watch husband and wife (meaning R and A) sidelining her all the time and be like a maid to them; after all, Arthi has asked her to make kanji and be a doormat and Sundari asks her to shup up. Kala says, being my sister, why are you so foolish and walks away and sundari stands
there thinking. karaippaar karaithaal kallum karaiyum...maybe.

in the auto, Rajesh tells arthi that after all, we fell in love but
look now, there is big chasm between us and Arthi admits that things
have changed so much between them and now their relationship is based on so many complications; Rajesh tells arthi that he cannot accept
Sundari as his wife ever; he committed one mistake and has to regret
it throughout his life; Arthi says, whatever you say, it is a true
fact that you are responsible for her life.

Rajesh says you made me tie the thaali but you are always my wife; i cannot bring myself to accept her. Arthi tells him patiently, whatever said and done, it is an irrefutable fact that he slept with sundari and to consider her feelings too; after all, she is also a woman and foremost, a human being with likes and dislikes; and she may have her own dreams. So it is unfair on both their parts to take those away. We should give
respect to her wishes too; Rajesh has an inji thinna kurangu look.

Arthi says, if at all you want the gap between us reduced, the best
way to go about it is to pay more attention and show affection and
love to Sundari. You will be righting a wrong there and Rajesh just
stares. auto payanam thodargiradhu.

Abhhhhhhhhhi has summoned Dr.Crazy to her office and tells him not to
pursue her anymore; he asks why; (needs his head examined by a real
doctor) she tells him that marriage doesn't interest her anymore
(pinna sErndhu vaazhalaam varayaa - goes thru' loosu's head); he says
again why not? what is wrong with him? is he not intelligeng (duh!!),
smart, good-looking and ennidam ennai kurai kandaay? neeyE kurai,
says Abhi.

She tells him he is smart and a genuinely good person with
a good heart (she refrained from saying good head), so why are you
behaving like this? you have caused a lot of confusion and tension in
my life; ever since I met you, I am facing all sort of problems, so
go away from me. now you have turned anandhi against me. Mahesh tries explaining some more, Abhi says, get out and dont interfere in my
life anymore, when her mobile chirps, and it is Mrs.Rajamani
Kandasamy at the other end, who wants Abhi to come meet her. Abhi
disconnects the phone, grabs her life support (handbag), Mahesh asks
her what, she says it is none of his business (another favourite term
of the household, i suppose) and then walks out.

Mahesh calls out that that phone call is going to bring her good
news; she gives him 'go to hell' look and walks out.
He continues that she is going to see only good things in life from
now on as she is a good person and gives a small laugh and smile.

Abhi sees her ex-boss Vichu Keechu at the hotel entrance and he tells
her he got the call from Mrs.RK and they wonder what it could be.
They are called inside by a bellboy and meet Mrs.RK. She tells them
this is the first time she has gone outside the protocol of waiting
for the board approval, other formalities and has decided to take a
bold step and go where no man or woman has never gone before..

Abhi and VK express confusion and she tells them that she has been
cheated by her partners and she has taken a decision to take up the
project herself; abhi asks why this concerns her (being with loosu
doc really affected her thinking powers) and Mrs.RK informs her that
the project work from start to finish is going to be handled by Abhi;
(engayO kEtta maadhiri illai - deja vu) Abhi's mouth opens in
pleasant shock. (maybe that is when she went into labor?)
