Asin - Bluffer of all times

She uttered in her interviews that she wouldn't be getting back to Kollywood for quite some time, since she is with Bollywood and Hollywood projects. Before a year, she stepped into Bollywood with remake of Ghajini and with still a long way to go for that film to release, Asin herself has been making her own stories that Jackie Chan is pairing up with her for an international brand etc.

Asin, a tycoon much before she entered into tinsel town made her debut in Tamil Cinema with M.Kumaran S/0 of Mahalakshmi. Not so appealing in her looks, Asin underwent several facial makeovers and hairstyling to make her looks appealing. However, that didn't her and only Simran getting out of field after marriage great scope for Asin to get onto certain level.

Well, Asin was able to make only one round where she paired up with great stars on one round: Sivakasi and Pokkiri with Vijay, Ghajini and Vel with Suriya, Majaa with Vikram, Varalaaru and Aalwar with Ajith Kumar, Dasavatharam with Kamal Haasan. Apart from these films, she didn't have many offers on her part. Of course, Asin wasn't for the option for Kamal Haasan in Dasavatharam. first it was Vidya Balan whom he wanted to play female lead role and then followed by Nayanthara. Since, these missies were quite busy with other projects; Asin came into the option of K.S.Ravikumar and not Kamal Haasan.

Asin is not liked by many of the audiences since she doesn't possess any such unique attributes. Be it her looks or body shapes, it is not so convincing to make young guys to fall down for her. Also her overacting in most of the film creates more annoyance among us.

On the contrary, its Genelia D'Souza who made her debut in Tamil Cinema with the film Boys directed by Shankar. Though she hasn't acted in many films, Genelia could well establish herself on the screen with whatever roles she played. Acting not more than 5 films in Tamil film industry, she was offered to play female lead role in Priyadarshan directorial Bollywood movie 'Mere Baap Pehle Aap'. With her stunning performance and bubbly looks, she won the laurels and Aamir Khan had her in the film 'Jaane Ya Tune Jaanena' where Aamir's nephew Imran Khan played lead role. Genelia over shined Imran Khan with her stupendous performance and she has 4 Hindi flicks in hand to complete this year.

However, actress Asin who hasn't got her first film itself released has started boasting about herself to the section media and that's a sort of self-publicity. Looks like Asin's father has been advising her to come up with such issues and we have a special and famous proverb for both father and daughter, 'Empty Vessels make more noise and Asin has to the secret of success from Genelia.

Genelia is a better actress? OK, I have not seen any film of hers other than Boys and Sachien buit she's another candy floss, chocolate box actress - you know looks pretty, sweet but not much substance. Laila is another one but I have a soft spot for her.

She's not appealed much to me, as most might know here, but her dress sense is awesome. The next thign tht has appealed to me is her nails....nothing more than all this. Repetitive roles, same kind of costumes.....took her 5 whole yrs to change frm jeans to thavani😆

Leena, I've watched JTYJN. Laughed until my belly ached. A common story, though, but saved by the script and Imrans' and Genelia's performances. Genelia was like the life and soul of the movie. Simply superb. I agree with wht she's said once, tht the fact tht ppl hv liked most of her characters matter more to her.🙂

K, I hv to agree with you. Though this person has written the thoughts in my mind, tht is not wht a journalist is supposed to do....it's awfully biased.

All the movies Asin was mention on went on to become super duper hits. She is reliable and a known product. Versatile and has lots of skills. Her performance in Dashavataram was exemplary. My prediction is her bollywood debut will smash all previous records. I heard about Jaane tu ya jaane na only last night. Said to be the biggest hit of the year. My neice liked it a lot. Amir Khan's movies come once in a bluemoon and they are all very good. I'll reserve my opinion on Genelia till she is consistent in bollywood. She did well with Jeyam Ravi and her performance in tamil movies have been notable. I've seen her interview with Jeyam Ravi and she made him look like her sidekick. She speaks very intelligently. And she has a filmfare award for a telugu movie.

Well girls Asin is hard worker....i have admit it she doesn't have good acting skills....After watching Dasavathram she has proven he cant be risen to the next level she indeed does knhow to act but its the people

Once again, I concede that I have not seen Genelia in any other films except Boys and Sachien. But I will take your word for it and keep an open mind about her; because I don't dislike her. Let me finish my project, then I'll hit the shops and get all the DVDs of all the films that you have recommended. It's been a long time since I saw a good film.

Leena, I was ambivalent about Sada but now I've joined your camp. But if Asin comes back, Sada has to take second place, OK? 😉

Golly, I dunno if it's to be belived, but it seems Asins ready to show her curves in Bollywood, only the directors and producers weren't happy with the curves she has.......so now she's planning to have a surgery done to improve her curves(she hasn't heard of working out? Why does she go for surgeries for everysingle thing, instead of doing it the normal way?)
