After coming back from a long trip, I opened IF over the weekend and was disgusted to see so much of malicious, spiteful and snide baseless remarks in KM section. It was my immediate thought to react to these remarks, but I thought best of it by not reacting to these remarks for one reason alone and that is not to stoop low and I have more class than that.
Having said that, I feel in my all conscious I have to set some record straight so that the readers themselves should know there is always a two sides of the coin.
If readers (including silent readers) do not feel safe that their IDs won't be protected, let me assure it is not true. I have been in this forum for 2 years and not once, my email id was not given to anyone nor it was misused nor anyone who has my private email have misused it. Not once I have received spam mails via IF or its advertisers/sponsors, as compared to other forums/web.
I have to defend our Moderators although I find it strange they keeping numb about it.
First, CL has claimed that his PM to Advertising section was known to Karthikkaa. That means someone must have forwarded it to her. Let it be known that this is not true at all. In his eagerness and excitement to spam KM as well as inboxes of other IFians with rude messages, CL sent the PM to Karhikaa by mistake (or on purpose which I will never know). I have the first hand knowledge about it because I read the PM in Karthikaa's laptop. (for those who are not aware, Karthi is my sister). CL I can assure you, that your PM is not and never reached to the Advertising section INBOX, coz it is in Karthi's inbox!
Next, Karthi have received some disgusting PMs from CL, again which I have read. At this age, even uneducated men will not use such words, yet Karthi received such PMs. She initially ignored about it, and at one point she could not take it. This time, she felt CL went too far, she decided to take action. She went through the website, and got information of the Cyber Police in Chennai and he is a ASP. She wrote a long email, and was ready to make an official report, and she discussed with me. I told her to calm down and write an official PM to CL warning him to stop the harassment and cc to the Moderators. Or she will make Web Police Report. She took my advise and did the same. That is when the Moderators decided to ban CL's previous ID. If CL is accusing the moderators of hiding something, it is not correct. I feel, they are actually protecting him from Cyber Police. That how serious his PMs were to Karthikaa.
CL, fyi information, when Sri left the IF for sometime, he requested the Moderators to cancel his ID. When it was cancelled, his posts were all automatically removed. When he joined back, he had to restart all over again. The same happened to Roja, she forgot her ID and had to restart all over again. So if that can happen to them, it can happen to you.
Last but not least, CL said many IFians are ganging up on him by PMs. CL, is there any proof about it. Again let me assure you we are a bunch of intelligent individuals who knows what is right and wrong, we don't need others to tell us what to do. I feel 'ganging' up was done when I was a kid but not as an adult. That is way too childish for me.
I am a straight and honest person and I call a black is a black. I would not send PMs to gang up on you. I will do it openly on the thread and make announcement to others regardless if I get warning from Mods. CL should thank Meli that she has asked everyone to calm down and they are listening to her advise. But don't push your luck
When I first joined this forum, it was in a mess and there was no proper support. Once Atina took over the tamil section, she worked day and night to beautify and clean the tamil section. It is 4 am in US and Atina is still up and about making things right in the section. I know how much effort and hard work she put in making this place a better place for all us to meet. I don't want all the hard work to go down the drain, that is why I asked Karthi to go through proper channel first and let the Moderators be aware of it.
Accusing our moderator (s) for something, we have done wrong in the first place is not right. First we need to take a good look at ourselves before we accuse.
To all my fellow IFians, if you are not happy about the remarks made by some of people, then skip their remarks. It is not worth reading and get heckled up about it. Either ignore their posts and don't waste your time and energy to counter react to it. I am doing it.
