Although Kajol is my favorite as far as Bolly gals go, Rani Mukherji might be better suited to play the female lead in this one. It probably has to do with the fact that the movies that I've seen cutie Kajol in, she has been shown as the bubbly one and Rani had done the mature roles.

As an afterthought, may be either would be fine. After all, both of them have really beautiful, expressive eyes which can take this character to new heights.

Young star Prithviraj's biggest hit in Kollywood 'Mozhi' will be remade shortly in Hindi.

Ace producer Boney Kapoor has acquired the remake rights of the movie which will be remade without many changes.

According to initial reports Abhishek Bachchan is considered to do the lead role that Prithviraj had done with considerable ease while Kareena Kapoor is earmarked to do the potential dumb and mute act of the female lead, which was done by Jyothika in the original.

The director of the original Radha Mohan will also create the Hindi version of the movie

'Mozhi' was important in the acting career of many of its stars. The movie steadied the star value of Prithviraj in Tamil Nadu, running to more than hundred days while Prakash Raj showed his ample versatility to tick the funny bones.

Abhishek is not a bad choice at all. In fact, I think he'll shine in the role. 👍🏼 Ever since Yuva, I've liked him in every movie of his.He can do the role with ease, he's proved tht he's good at such happy-go-lucky roles.

I'm seriously disappointed with Boney Kapoor for casting Kareena. Myabe he did it just because Kareena is the top actress in B'wood now.......

Am sure Bacchan had a lot to do with this. He wants his son to act with all the great directors. Like Abhishek got the breaks with Ramu/the Chopras/Maniratnams. And then he looks at who's most saleable to work with his son.

There was this lady who told me she went to see Kajol and Ajay devgan-you me aur hum? with her fly. during the weekend. And the movie had adult themes in the 2nd half.
The best actor who could have been chosen for the role is obviously Shahrukh. He even acts with Deepika Padukone and other new stars and makes 100-200 crores for his movies! Shahrukh is better than his close rivals like Aamir, Hrithik, Salman, Akshay, Abhishek by a large large distance in terms of box-office, acting, and popularity !
Preity Zinta/Rani Mukharjee/Kareena Kapoor/Kajol are all steam engines. Anyway, am getting off the casting couch.

Agreed Suram! Unthinkable to have Kareena in deaf and dumb role. 😡 After her Poo role in KG2, I don't want to see her again. For heaven's sake she can't act unlike her sister. But I heard she did a role of prostitute. Did anyone seen it? Your comments pls

Had Ambhishek not married Aishwarya Rai, his career graph wud hv gone so low in the past yr........it's all abt the Bachchan family now, where there's Big B, he wants Chota B, where there's Chota B, he wants Bahu B.........I'm surprised Abhishek didn't ask for Ash to be cast opp him in Mozhi remake...I heard he's demanding tht to everyone who's kind enough to offer him movies.....

There wasn't exactly any adult scenes in U me aur hum, little kids wud hv found it all greek and latin,and mothers wud hv found it extremely uncomfortable showing such scenes to the kids, true;but there weren't a lot of them. I dunno if the theatre I watched the movie frm, or the censor board or somebody edited such scenes, though. 😕

I don't like SRK off screena and on screen, so no comments abt tht 😆

Kareena did 'Chameli', where she was a prostitute......the character was sketched well, tht was all ;her performance wasn't tht good.

Kareena has done Chup chup ke where she played a deaf and mute girl, I wonder if she's willing to do a similar role again 😕

i would actually like to see ayesha takia doing jo's role and juhi chawla doing the friend. shahid kapoor doing prithiviraj's role and sanjay dutt/akshaye kumar doing prakash raj!

Jagdu, not SRK. He over-acts and hams up everything and I also think he is too old for Prithiviraj's role. I also think Abishek is too serious.

But Kareena?? 🤢 🤢 🤢 Oh for God's sake.
