Hey Karthi.. u are absolutely right about TMS.

Infact when he visited NJ and DC for a show with P Susheela, he wanted to hog the limelight and never let her sing!!!!! In fact he had a heart condition and a doctor was there all the time.. just in case, and his son who has similar voice like TMS had accompanied him to sing with Susheela, but he didn't even allow him to sing!!!! isn't that atrocious??

I had the the opportunity of interacting with both of them as we were part of the show organizing committee.. Susheela is SUCH a sweet lady..very humble and quite.. but this man was so full of attitude.. demanding attenion and what not!!! Man was I fuming!!!

When we asked her to go ahead and sing some popular solo's she said - "ayyo mothalla avar mudikkattum, appuram avarukku romba kovam varum"......So I can imagine how he would've been in his days of Glory!!!!

In NJ he incurred the displeasure of the audience when he commented that MGR and Sivaji became famous because HE sang for them!!!! People started booing and we had some tough time to pull him off stage..because Actress Padmini was there on stage with him She was hopping mad after hearing the comment, she made some nasty remarks at him and things would have turned ugly....if not for volunteers who literally dragged them off stage!!!!

Yep it was true about Simbu and Aishwarya.. no kisu-kisu this one..Looks like the super-star dad had a lousy opinion of the chimps the chimpanzee.. so put his foot down!!!!

Now in what way is Dhanush better... beats the hell outta me!!!

I didnt know about all those stuff about TMS...thanks for the info Karhi and Suram. Grr...he seems to be extreme😕

Oh my God, suram...he said the same things on the TV here, that MGR and Sivaji became famous because of him. I was so disappointed, I really love his songs....and he kept talking about himself in the third person, as if he was God. My mother walked off first, then after a couple of minutes, I switched off.

I never liked Orampo song but it seems he was in SL, and he said Orampo pattu panuvanga illam oram mai po vanga. Illayaraja heard about it and from then on, refused to give him any singing assignments. That was the beginning of the end for TMS but he still has not lost his arrogance.

OK, most of you would already know this but Shobana and Vineeth are cousins.

Vineeth studied in Tamil Nadu because he was so famous and popular in Kerala that he could not go to Uni like a normal kid. He started winning dance competitions as a kid.

Oh, oh, Happy New Year from Kuruvi has Malay lyrics in it. The Malaysian boys make fun of Trisha's character in Malay basically, "Look at this figure (Mak Wer) so desperate for a Pak Wer (boyfriend) - nothing better to do" and then it continues in Tamil "Sariyana loosu". 😆

I like that HNY song.
