Just heard this on the radio. It seems the role of Nayan in the Vijay movie was supposed to be a homely one, innocent, straitlaced, butter-won't-melt-in-my-mouth character. Then Vijay and Prabu Deva saw a song Nayan danced in Satyam, took one look at each other, saying "Dei, naanga innocent-ana role kuduthu irrukum, enna Nayan ippidi adhu ranga?"

To quote Prabhu Deva from a famous film of his "Route-a matthu" and they changed Nayan's character who is now no longer such a prude. 🤣
