Indian TV audience I guess loves to see shows where the man always manhandles the female counterparts and later females later come back with a vengeance. ...but always they end up showing the still in love wala angle. ..I think we all as audiences need to grow and condemn such acts...it's so regrettable that our society still believes and accepts such offences 😡

Agreed audience has seen lots of series like this..

I myself don't remember any series in which heroine forgives hero..Accept his love n they enede up together..
Or somehow the hero's did justified n he regrets..N both happily ever after..

They hardly show in any series that heroine has her own self respect to flush out him from her own life..

People love to watch where lady is weak n hero is handling her..For them hero must be manipulative..Fir usake liye kabhi woh heroine ko forcefully kiss kare..Usse drag kare..Pin her to wall..Usse hurt kare toh chalega..Usse jungle me chod ke chala Jaye..Bich raste me usse gadi se utar de n all..But still hero is hero..N more over that hero heroine or Sath bhale hi aisa behave kare but in his home he is a real gentleman..A best beta n all that..

How could i say it son is best son if Ur son don't know how to acted with a lady..?

But it seems people are so used such kind of scenes in lead couple on the name of passionate romance or whatever u call it,that people even don't think while watching it wheater he is right or wrong..

If hero or heroine is doing it then it must be right at any cost..

Great and a well needed post Nikita.
Their love story first time didn't seem like a love story at all. And the second time is even more pukeworthy.
Is this their idea of a hero:
- Marrying a girl and driving her mad
- Put your wife's life in risk as frequently as you wish
- Getting ready to kill your wife
- Not feeling an iota of emotion to find the lifeless body of the woman who loved you like crazy
- Tying a woman to bed to keep her in control
- Dragging ur wife halfway to a forest to check a mole
- Manhandling being the norm of everyday life
Maybe Gitanjali can't but can Chamki just give him one hard slap and leave him in the jungle to die.

SP and makers need to go watch the ending of the movie Arth. Kudos to them if they can incorporate such an ending here.

THIS! 👏 Am going to add this comment to the front page!

Choti Maa was raped by Bhavani Singh and yet she supported his family to ruin the life of a girl who used to genuinely love and respect her.

Geetanjali was/is physically, mentally, emotionally harassed by Abhimanyu and yet she continues to have feelings for him.

In this show men harass women as and when they wish and easily get away with it too. Women don't take a stand for themselves as they do not have any sense of self-respect. Even when they do take a stand, they are the ones to suffer more while the men who harassed them roam about scott free.

Bhavani and Abhimanyu are perfect example of 'like' father, like son' duo 🤢

AbhiGeet 's love story was a joke back then and now it's a nauseating aspect of the story. Where is Abhimanyu's "love"? I don't see any.

It was a legit LOL moment when he told Chamki main tumse jaise aurton ko mooh nahin lagata. Oh and he's gold in the name of a man, pristine and priceless, who every woman is dying to have! 😳

A very thoughtful post. Agree with you.

I remember the conversation between Abhi and Geetu (when he returns) about how he's always shown his love towards her in this manner, and she's never had an issue with it. Geetu even acknowledged that. And that really got to me. Why should it be acceptable? Why should Geetu have considered it to be Abhi's way of showing affection? Hell no! It's warped.

Sadly viewers in general tend to like this kind of stuff. How many times over the years have we seen the hero drag the heroine around like a rag doll, or pin her to the wall in an aggressive manner? I've seen it countless times in many popular shows and it's always passed off as romantic.

The problem with Desi shows is that they glorify this kind of behaviour from the male lead. It makes him look "sexy." Yes, sounds pathetic but sadly this is what they sem to think 😆 otherwise they wouldn't encourage it! And the audience in general seem to lap it up.

Unfortunately Abhi won't be the last of the lot. There will be more like him. Shame!

Can't agree more. In this show they have went a step ahead in glorifying manhandling by never showing Geetanjali finding it problematic. Only yesterday she somewhat put back a fight to counter him but ofcourse she was never going to get a upper hand at that. Infact, returning home she had a talk with her alter ego, showcasing the audience that how she still harbours feelings for Abhimanyu 🤢

Why is she taking all these pains to avenge him then I don't understand. Probably some sense of self-respect and righteousness is left that doesn't let her surrender to her deep rooted feelings. But then eventually what would win? The deep seated desire to be with Abhimanyu or the motive to avenge him and punish him for his wrongdoings? So far I don't see the latter happening 🥱

Nayi Soch sadly is just a promotional tagline. Majority of their shows hardly exhibit any such new thinking.

I don't know why does audience watch it and they think even after being badly treated by the lead the heroin forgives him after taking little revenge or a fight and little hatred , they get happy thinking its True love!

True love is to first love yourself and respect yourself then only you can love or respect others!

But the cliche concept will be adopted...

After suffering at the hands of hero, heroin will still forgive him 🤢

Nobody thinks these things are true love I think...fact is True Love gets boring after a while in Indian TV shows...here when there is true love btwn hero and heroine from start they r such good people its boring...RV truly loves geetu right...but he looks so good bcoz other characters r so bad...if the bad characters r not there RV-geetu relationship wud be boring to watch...bcoz sad truth is in India those jerk heroes r interesting to watch...but the sweet loving supportive heroes are boring...trp audiences do not like to get bored...

Personally I dont hv any problem with heroine forgiving hero after she has given him taste of his own medicine...and he has grovelled a lot😆

Yes surely there is section of audience who enjoys such scenes. How many shows can we recall where male leads were like Rajveer? Sad state of affairs...
