| Royally ignoring stories that the media has been throwing up about dipping TRPs, soap queen Ekta Kapoor took off to Dubai to participate in an international gathering of the world's most influential entrepreneurs. The International Entrepreneurs Forum and Exhibition saw the likes of billionaire property tycoon Donald Trump, Body Shop initiator Dame Anita Roddick, biotech entrepreneur Sir Chris Evans and Senator John Edwards. Kapoor addressed the crowd at the "Young Superstar" segment of the conference, where she discussed the challenges she faces, and future plans for Balaji Telefilms. |
Aashka-Amit not an item?
Romantic link-ups on the sets is a common occurrence in the industry. Another one to have hit the board is Aashka Goradia and Amit Sareen who were supposedly seen getting too cosy at a party together.
But alas, our hopes were dampened when we contacted the actress. "Are you mad? Amit is 10 years older to me and he's already engaged. I would not even dream of going out with him. He is only a friend and a good co-actor," said Aashka. The actress also confessed she was seeing someone from outside the industry but ask her to quell our curiosity and she only keeps us waiting!
Shweta has high ambitions
Shweta Keswani owes her name-n-fame to the television industry. But, the actress seems saturated with the small screen. Talking about her role in The Memsahib, the glamorous telly gal avers, "I play a Kathiawadi princess in the movie and for the first time, you will not see me in a sexy look. I am tired of being offered the same roles on television. I want to act in good movies. I adore filmmakers like Nagesh Kukunoor, Sudhir Mishra and Shyam Benegal."

Baddie wants to play hero
Chetan Hansraj may be the best villain on the small screen but he is aspiring for more. Ask him about his dream role and the heavy built actor avers, "I would love to play Russel Crowe's character in Gladiator. The movie was not only about the man and his valour but the gamut of emotions he experiences. I can relate to him because he valued his family the most."
Hansraj's wife is an air hostess and he confesses that he misses her a lot every time she is flying and is away from home.
