Besides battling a sty operation, the small screen's Kumud, Aashka Goradia, has had her personal life out in the open. "The last few days have been traumatic for me.

How can anyone make statements about my life? No one has the authority or the right to level aspersions on me," says the Kkusum actress. She says that actor Raahil Azam, former Balaji aide Saurav and builder Hassan are her good friends.

Of late she has lots of oodles of weight and is totally focused on her career. "I want to concentrate on my acting career," states the actress whose Muslim name is Zainab.

She says her conversion to Islam was of her own free will. "It was certain spiritual experiences that inclined me towards Islam in my school days. I converted in 2002; the day I got converted was also the day I got my big break — to act in Kkusum. I prefer being talked about my acting and shows," says the young actress who has set her sights on doing films.
