They've been serious about each other for a while but yet refuse to admit it. And now they have been roped in by Ekta Kapoor to take part in a cameo in Kasamh Se where the scene features a few real life couples. Hiten and Gauri are one, and understandably so, but why Ejaz Khan and Anita Hassanandani? "That's because they too are a couple," said a source from Balaji.

To confirm it, Anita and Eijaz walked in hand-in-hand on the sets of Kasamh Se, looking rather comfortable with the fact that people will speculate about their relationship. Not just this, they shared the same vanity van, Ejaz was busy telling Anita what she should wear and how her hair do should be done etc etc, just like a husband bugs his wife!

PNC's Meerabai Not Out is 50 per cent complete

By Johnny Vaz

(10 January, 2007)

MUMBAI: The shooting of Pritish Nandy Communications' Meerabai Not Out, which features cricketer Anil Kumble in a cameo, is half complete.

The film stars Mandira Bedi in the title role, along with Anupam Kher, Mahesh Manjrekar and television actor Eijaz Khan. Meerabai Not Out is directed by award winning Marathi director Chandrakant Kulkarni. Mandira's husband, Raj Kaushal, who last directed Anthony Kaun Hai?, is the line producer of the film.

"The movie went on the floors on 24 December 2006 in Mumbai," says Kaushal. "Meerabai Not Out is all about cricket and the story revolves around an avid cricket fan played by Mandira. Since the film is planned to coincide with the forthcoming World Cup, we are planning to complete the shooting by the end of January."

Check out the passion and the sizzle in these images. They beat even the Hrithik-Aishwarya one in Dhoom 2 hollow... and why not? While that one was for the cameras only, this is for real. We have on authoritative record that the Eijaz Khan and Anita Hasnandani are getting married soon and are currently finalizing the deal for their new home in Andheri, a suburb of Mumbai.

Who is the hottest kisser in tellydom? 😆😳

While the big screen has quite some names who have made a brand out of their kisses, our tellydom cannot boast of such a feat. Actually the actors are not the one's to blame. The real culprit are the plotlines that are completly stripped of such scenes. Well, let's hope in future our actors would be able to make their mark in this particular art form. Ruhail Amin sets on a mission to find the heir apparent for the title and comes across the following comments:
Monaz
I would vote for the sexy Eijaz Khan who will definitely make the hottest kisser on the television screen. I think his suave persona and an attitude to die for makes girls go weak in the knees

The top television shows of the year

Kkavyanjali

Balaji Telefilms, Star Plus
January 05, 2007

Touted as one of the biggest launches of Balaji Telefilms in the recent past, Kkavyanjali never attained the success it was expected to.

The serial has recently gone off-air after a leap, comeback after death and change in the lead cast. Amrita Singh didn't leave much of a mark and neither did Anita Hasnandani (Natasha).

The serial, however, proved to be good for Eijaz Khan and Iqbal Khan. Like all Balaji serials, this also banked on love, death, love again (this time with someone else) and then comeback from death leading to a lot of dilemma for the leading lady

Eijaz gave a sound 'bite'!

Ascreening of a Hollywood blockbuster saw many from Mumbai's social circuit attend. And when televisions starlets meet Bollywood, who in turn mingle with singers and musicians, there's bound to be music!

• WAIT AND WATCH! Gaurav Chopraa, who does a cameo in the film, was quite the star of the evening as he fielded questions about making his Hollywood debut before his Bollywood one! Meanwhile, "good friend" Narayani Shastri waited patiently in a corner for him to finish his interviews.

• NO SNAPPERAZZI PLEASE! Neetu Chandra came sans any make-up, and thus deliberately avoided the shutterbugs. Similarly, Vida Samadzai tried to sneak in and out of the theatre, because she didn't want to be questioned about her 'friendship' with tennis player Carlos Moya.

• BETTER LATE THAN NEVER: Pooja Bedi came in time for the movie, and was heard telling the ticket collector to keep a pass for her friend Hanif Hilal, who was on his way. Another latecomer was Sikander Kher, who wore a hurried look on his face because he didn't want to miss too much of the movie.

• BITE INTO THIS! Anita Hasanandani and Eijaz Khan walked in together, and stuck b throughout the evening. However, the being clicked together. When asked to byte about their relationship, Eijaz re ask me for a byte, I'll bite you!"

• THE FALL GIRL: Pratichee, w friend, didn't know she'd have to play the movies! Her friend had an accide as a banner fell on her. And Pratichee rescue.

• WE WERE ALSO THERE... San Gupta, Deepak Tijori, Suchitra Pil and her husband Lars Kjeldsen, Zul Syed and Sushant Singh were amon the others present.

SIBLING REVELRY
When Anaida walked in with a man, all eyes were on them. But the lady put all speculation to rest when she said that he was her brother Dasch!

Anita plans to work in Summer

"It is just a guest appearance for both of us," says Anita, smiling. "When we were approached for the song, Kkavyanjali was on air and a big hit. We agreed because the song and the whole situation were nice."

Nice way to avoid the question!

"I am currently taking a break," continues Anita. "For the last three years I have been constantly working. It's high time I took a break. I am enjoying spending quality time with my family and watching movies every Friday!"

Eijaz Khan takes his first step into politics
Wednesday, January 10, 2007 01:44 [IST]

TV actor Eijaz Khan has always been different from the brood. Earlier this week he proved it when he took a couple of days off from his hectic schedule at Balaji Telefilms to share the platform in Goa with eminent politicians, including Goa Chief Minister Pratapsingh Rane.

"It was a youth festival organised by a friend, Sachin Parag, and I gave my first public speech," said Ejaz shyly. "I guess we, who have a known name, need to use it to make a difference to the society. And yes, I'm certainly not averse to getting into politics," Eijaz told IANS.

But the young actor is wary of joining any political party.

"Because then you become too closely affiliated to that party's ideologies. I'd rather have the freedom to address issues that concern me - like AIDS.

"I hate to say this, but even today I've friends who don't use condoms reasoning there's no need for one. How can we change the mindset at the grassroots when it's so unreasonable at the higher levels?"

Eijaz is cool about the idea of politics. But what about the politics on the sets of his serials?

Sanjeeda, his "Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka" co-star, continues to talk about her aversion to any kind of conversation with Eijaz.

"Has she really spoken about it again? I don't even know who she is beyond the camera. I've stopped interacting with those who think my suggestions to better a scene are a form of interference. Earlier, I'd go all out to make sure the scenes are as finely executed as possible. Then I realised some co-stars took my suggestions as a personal insult.

"Now I save my suggestions for those who actually want to listen to me without finding me intrusive. As for this lady you're talking about, I only know her as someone to share camera space with."

Is it possible for two people to work so closely for months without any personal interaction?

"Why not?" Eijaz shot back. "Balaji Telefilms is filled with instances of co-stars who are at loggerheads and their serials have been grabbing TRPs for years. On camera chemistry has nothing to do with what you feel about your co-star once it is switched off."

Anita and Ejaz in Just Married

Anita Hassanandani and Ejaz Khan can currently be seen getting married in Meghna Gulzar's Just Married. The movie, which stars Fardeen Khan and Esha Kapoor, has Kkavyaanjali's hit pair tying the knot in a song sequence and unlike other TV Stars who hardly get noticed, these two feature in the promos.

When asked if it's just a guest appearance or a full length role Ejaz Khan said, "We are seen in just one song. We haven't done too much of acting in the film." Anita though is a bit more open and she says, "Ours is a guest appearance with a song and a few scenes. Ejaz has a few scenes with Fardeen and I have a few scenes with Esha," she says. The couple just had four to five days of shooting and Anita is all praises for Meghna.

Eijaz Khan's Khwahish is fulfilled!

Finally Balaji has shown the green signal for its ambitious project that would see Eijaz Khan playing the lead. Titled Khwahish, the show would be a story told against a muslim backdrop.

With this project, Balaji would target the Urdu speaking audiences in Dubai, Pakistan and India. It would be apt to mention here that Balaji serials are amongst the most watched in these regions.

Nivedita Basu, Creative Director of the show accepts, "The shoot of Khwahish has commenced today." Adds another creative on the show, "We will be completing some scenes in Mumbai and the rest of the show would be entirely shot in Dubai. Eijaz would be shooting his first sequence on the 17th of this month."

Eijaz Khan, one of the most popular actors in the industry today, plays the central character of Kabir Khan who is the son of a business tycoon in Dubai. Paired opposite him is a ravishing newcomer Priya Bhatheja, who plays Aafren Hussain, a law student in the show. In a turn of events, Aafreen has to shoulder family responsibility early and lands up in a job with Kabir Khan. The narrative soaked in dramatic events (the trademark of Balaji shows), would be a story that promises a lot to watch for.

Eijaz on his part maintains, "I can't talk about the show since I have not shot for it at the moment. For me things start the day I will shoot, till then it will be untimely to talk about it."

Making programmes specifically for audiences abroad seems to be a new trend that is catching up with our producers. Earlier it was B.A.G films that is doing a show for the audiences abroad. Does it sound the coming-in of a new age programming in tellydom? We guess it does!
