Wakas: Hello and who's this?
Eijaz: Hey Wakas that was quite a mouthful, it's me Eijaz
W: How r u doing Eijaz? good good?
E: Ya very good. Much better now.
W: Brilliant, I'm glad that you are feeling a bit better now. At this very moment tons and tons of girls probably just fainted. (damn right we fainted). I am getting so many messages that you cannot even imagine. My messages system is blocked and I am getting messages saying that please tell him to say I love you, please tell him to say this. So u do know how loved you are by the girls, isn't it? Your're aware of that?
E: Eh Sort of.
W: First of all thanks for taking your time out to come to Craze Fm, and on behalf of India forums we have a lot celebrities on here and you're just one of the big ones on today. So thanks a lot for taking your time eijaz.
E: Thanks for inviting me. Infact this is one of the small things I can do for my fans and to interact with them.
W: definitely, zabardast! Okay so lets start with the questions…The first question, out of the characters you have played, Abhi, Sahil, arjun, Sohan, Varun, kavya which one have u enjoyed the most?
E: The one I enjoyed the most I guess was arjun, since I love doing negative roles. All of hardwork went into each and every character. Varun was my first character and I learnt a lot on that. Right now I'm enjoying Kavya but arjun was the one I really loved.
W: So you like doing negative roles….is it because there is more scope to do acting?
E: Ya it's because u can do anything….(didn't catch what else he said)
W: If you were the creative head of balaji what change would you bring to Kavya's character?
E: What change would I bring? For starters I would give him a brain.. no no we have a great creative team for balaji and they write what the audience wants especially the women out there. But I would like him to stand up for his own beliefs, I would like him to be with Anjali and to get to know what his mom is really all about. Wishful thinking.
W: definitely, the creative heads are there and that's the job they're doing, a very good job infact.
W: talk about the fading of sound etc…..and a song plays
W: You and anita won the best onscreen couple of the year award? were u and Anita expecting this award and how did it feel to win this award?
E: Not at all, even when I go to award functions I don't really go by the nominations, I usually do a performance or something because that's what I enjoy. Well about the jodi award, I didn't even know there was this category. I had just finished performing and was backstage and they announced my name and I was taken by surprise. I think Best onscreen chemistry is quite nice and we as a couple are really loved so I guess in this particular year I expected that.😃
W: Exactly, you did a very good job and definitely…..You deserved it aswell.

E: They just conveyed their love and admiration. thanks a lot. hey guys we are where we are because of your love…thanks a lot.
W: Now we have a request. This is from sangeeta from USA. I love your acting and your dance numbers. So who is Eijaz the person?
E: Eijaz the person….eijaz is just a name. It's just me plain and simple. A normal guy….do acting everyday…..I work quite hard. (couldn't understand what he said then)…I am very fair…very fair. I don't expect inefficiency from others or myself and I try and put in my best in anything and everything I do. As far as the dance, anytime Sangeeta.
Wak: Okay there are 4 people forcing you to say I love you to them, they are rati, kashifa, buttercup, uzi and Ouma. Say I love u to them.
E: (He's a sweetheart) I love u rati, buttercup, kashifa....Ouma and Uzi I love u guys to.😆😃
W: Which 3 characteristics do u think a person needs to be a good actor?
E: The most important thing I think is that u need to be a genuine human being…that takes care of a lot of things if you really feel from ur heart, then you can emote naturally. That and what else….um you need to be very observant
Wakas: good looks?
E: Good looks I don't think so….because if you look at all our actors, if you see they have a certain personality but not necessarily good looks. Yea just that isn't enough but sometimes it works against you and u don't get to play plain and simple characters. So 2 major things would be to be a nice human being, have good observation skills and u really need to be naked in front of the camera. Absolutely, you cant have any inhibitions intact.
W: So sharmila sharmila type ke bande nahin chalsakte
E: chal sakte hai but sab kuch nahin kar sakte to be a versatile actor
W: That was a very good reply (ya our jaan deserves 10/10) So have u ever travelled by public transport and what kind of reaction do u get?
E: Do I travel by public transport now?….Not much really but I move around. I go to the shopping malls and catch films and stuff and the reactions I get….people come up to me and tell me they don't want me to cry so much. Some people want me to get back with Anjali and lots of other things. Most of them appreciate what I do onscreen. But what I don't forget is that they appreciate my character Kavya, not me. I keep that in my mind and stick to it.
W: absolutely., that's the only way you can stay on the ground isn't it?
W: When will Kavyanjali reunite? Audiences everyday cry buckets of water and are eagerly waiting for that moment.
E: haha, you've got to go by the title of Kavyanjali-who mile the bicharne ke liye. So I don't really know. We were together for a while and abhi story mein twists and turns to ahi rahe hain. Pammi is being as usually a petty ?something (couldn't understand)
W: There is a part of love involved in this serial? What do u think about love itself?
E: Love it makes my world go round, I think it's the strongest emotion or feeling a human being can have. It makes you wana do everything.
W: It makes you want to cross 7 seven seas and do everything for that special someone isn't it?
E: oh yes, oh yes..
W: haha you sound like you're very much taking from experience now…
Okay so could u describe a typical day for you and what do u do in your free time if you ever get any?
E: I go to sleep very late. I go to sleep at about 5/6 in the morning and get about 3/5 hours sleep everyday so before the scene is ready someone comes round and tells me. I stay 5 mins away from the studio so I have the luxury of waking up just half an hour before. I get ready and my help is with me…then I go on the sets and get ready…it takes about 20minutes for me to get ready. While I'm getting ready I have an assistant director come over to me and read my scenes to me. If I have to read that particular screenplay then I read the screenplay. Then in 20mins I'm on the set with my makeup on and I'm ready for the shot. In a day I do approximately 7 or 8 scenes and in a strong day around 15 scenes in a day. We have shot 20/30hours around the clock initially during kavyanjali. Nowadays it's not so hectic. Yea after about 15/16 hours I'm off back home. If I get a chance I try to catch a film with my friends otherwise I have dinner on the sets mostly with my colleagues over there. Then I watch a bit of tv and then off to bed. Oh and read read read!
W: Who's ur fav author? any book ur reading right now?
E: No…none none none. He then mentioned a book that he's reading for the 6th time coz it makes him laugh.
W: Who do u spend the most time with on the KA set?
E: Recently, a lot with Pammi that's for sure. I spend the time with my director Jassi, my camera person sanjay and my unit guys. We're like family, I spend 15/16 hours with them everyday…I am living my life with them. I just come back home to sleep.
W: A lot of people call u SRK of television. How do u feel about that?
E: Oh man..please please please. No man that's not happening. He's God! He makes every scene believable, I've got miles to go.
W: Okay what about in 10 years? What do u hope to accomplish in 10 years?
E: 10 years, um I don't know what I'm gonna do in the next 10 days. Yah seriously I don't plan that way. I've lost a lot of time because of my shoulder injury and stuff so I know the value of time. There's no point wasting a lot of time now planning 10 years or 5 years ahead coz u never know what's gonna happen anyways so. I'd rather make the best of what I have right now, put in ur best and leave it since God will take care of the rest.
W: zabardast. That's how it should be aswell. Tell us about ur ideal match.
E: I don't really know, nothing as of now. It might sound very clichd but work is taking up a lot of my time. I think relationships require a lot of patience, adjustments, time and ya u never know never. But one needs to invest these things in order to make a relationship successful. So I don't want to take things lightly
W: So don't want to be as serious as Kavya right?
E: hmmm
W: After Civil Engineering why did you choose to be an actor rather than remain an engineer?
E: Oh what happened was that I was called by someone, in particular Zarina Mehta. She told me I should try my hand in acting and I wasn't really ready for that. Since I was handling my production unit in Bombay. Then ad films happened and then from there it happened and one thing lead to another and here I am. I never plan anything. I don't believe in destiny in that way because I believe it's your hard work that pays off. Until now everything has paid off lets see what happens in the future.
W: What do u think about ur strengths and weaknesses?
E: I think my strengths are my perseverance, when I start something I need to get it done well and good. I'm very particular….if I am working on something then I will find out the back-story of it and work on it and get it right. I really focus on what I'm doing, everything else takes a backseat. My weaknesses I think are that I need to be a little more patient with myself and people around. What happens is when you put in ur best you expect the same from people around u. Sometimes people really aren't that committed and people are laid back and I don't take that lightly. So I think I need to be a little more patient and easy going.
W: How about Yoga or something?
E: hahaha no work is my therapy.
W: The phenomina of couples divorcing or separating is not limited to onscreen, so Eijaz how do u view divorce, do u think people are getting less patient in relationships?
E: Ya I think so. I think I come from the old school of thought that marriage is for good. Not even marriage, I think love, I mean if u are in love with someone I don't think you get to a point where you give up. I really don't think u get to that point at all if u really are in love with someone who loves u back then u want to make things work, come what may…because bottom line you love each other. So I think when people forget that they tend to let go easily but each to their own. But I personally feel marriage is for good (so come on Eijaz hurry up and get married).
W: We have some requests for you to sing something?
E: I have been in the hospital for the last 3 days….not right now…some other time.
W reads out Ouma's beautiful poem.
E: That is soo sweet. I cant stop smiling. I'm really thankful and lets hope I deserve such fans and that I live upto the expectations.

Eijaz: Seriously the first song, Tumhe aaj jo maine dekha. I love that song.That was one of the first numbers I performed on onscreen and a very good choice and deserved to win. The song from Hum Tum happens to be one of my favourites, I think the song creates the right atmosphere for a romantic evening. While the last one it will be a lot of fun dancing with Aryan and Natassha.
W: You know it's being reumoured that you are going to be joining the Kyunki team?
E: In Balaji the creative direction keeps changing, so I was supposed to be in Kasauti before I replaced Rakshak in Kavyanjali, so someone else is doing the character of Prem. As far as Kyunki goes nobody spoke to me about it though Ekta said it in an interview that I would be playing the next lead after the leap (wooohoo go Eijaz!). But we haven't spoken about that and nothing is concrete and u never know, things change. But right now I'm fully in kavyanjali. (Oh no he cant leave KA if he does Kyunki!!)
W: So do u like working with Balaji telefilms Eijaz?
E: On Tv they are the best, they are like the Yashraj banner of films. It doesn't get bigger or better than this. Once we had a Diwali special with all the Balaji actors and actresses and I couldn't believe the amount of talent that was there in one hall. All the stalwarts of TV, all the best performers of TV and the most known faces of TV are with Balaji. So when I got a call from them I took the plunge. I wouldn't want to work with any other production house right now it's only balaji…and they've given me such a lot of characters to play. I'm happy.
W: What's ur fav scene from any of ur fav serials?
E: My favourite scene? (He mentions a scene from KTH I think). Apart from that in Kavyanjali there have been so many so it's very difficult for me to choose one.
W: How do u feel about doing emotional scenes in Kavyanjali?
E: Most of the scenes tire you out….in scenes where u have to scream or cry you really have to work on it and psyche urself. So Kavyanjali has been very draining but most enjoyable also.
W: You know how they say that behind every successful man is a woman….is there a woman behind ur success?
E: Filhaal to mehnat hi hai. Lekin my blessings and whatever blessings I get from people who love me so much.
W: I think blessings do matter and count especially when u get them from so many people…
E: To each and every girl who is listening to me right now thank u very much. You love me so much that's why I'm here.
W: Is there anything you would like to change about urself?
E: No nothing. Maybe to be a little more patient because I lose my top quite quickly.
W: You have to be happy with urself to entertain others isn't it?
E: Ya, I'm not saying anything because everything is good.
W: So is there any way ur fans can get in touch with u?
E: Ya my email is Eijazkhan@hotmail.com. But you know what it is virtually impossible for me to reply to each and every mail that comes to me. But I do try and reply to some of the people that I can whenever I get a chance. But I read my emails sumtimes and when I open my mailbox I read each and every mail. It's impossible for me to reply to each and every mail but keep writing in because I need to know what you like what u don't like. I need to how I can improve and how I can keep u guys happy.
W: if you got the chance to go on a date with any actress from TV who would u choose?
E: I like Dido a lot and Charlize theron…one of them, I really like them a lot.
W: We have heard you have a lot of problems with Nandini aka Pammi. How is it working with her. Be honest.
E: Okay I'll be honest. It really requires all of my skills to emote or react to love her onscreen. We try to talk between scenes but I guess some people don't get along. So I let it be. I don't push for anything…if things are supposed to work out between us then they will…I don't care as long as my scene works out, then I'm happy. My assistant directors are good interpreters, they convey the message across so it works on screen.
W: Can u describe any funny incidents that have happened on the sets?
E: Okay it was long back on the sets of KTH. It was a whole emotional dramatic sequence where I'm not allowed to tell my bhabhi that my brother is dead. We had to use amna's duplicate and we couldn't get a duplicate at that time. So one of the assistants, a boy had to play amna's character with all the padding, her wig and bag. He was standing in front of me and I was trying to emote as the best as I could.
Another incident was on the sets of Kavyanjali when we had worked for 2 and a half days in a row and I slept off in a scene. I slept off while I was doing an emotional scene with Anita when I was just about to propose. I'm proposing that don't marry this other guy Vansh, and marry me coz ur made for me. She turns away from the camera and I almost dozed off.
W: I hope u don't do that in real when u have to propose to sumone…
E: haha..no no
W: Are you a trained dancer? How would u rate urself as a actor and a dancer?
E: As an actor I don't really want to rate myself. I have miles to go, everyday I come across a different challenge, like how could I do this and if I do this then would it look a little more natural. You know even Mr Bachchan says he learns something new everyday and I am newcomer so I have a long way to go.
As a dance I have worked with a lot of choreographers so I'm well versed most of the time so I'm comfortable. No no I don't wana rate myself.
W: Who did u inherit ur good looks from? and how r u so fit?
E: How did I became so fit? I think just by having a positive attitude and working out. I'll be very honest I haven't worked out in the last 3 months. I tried to train before I did kavyanjali but now I have stopped completely. You try to keep yourself active and having a positive attitude. Good looks?? I don't think I'm that good looking!!!!!!!(OMG) I really don't understand when people talk about my good looks. I just try to concentrate on my acting.
W: On IF they call u Eijoo!!! What do u think about this pet name?😳
E: I love it. My dad used to call me that sometimes…I love it…keep calling me that.
W: What username do u usually login by if u do?
E: I haven't in the last so many months. I logged in when I was going kkusum and KDMH. At that time a lot of girls used to like Rakshak then I thought nobody has really accepted me…so I had a challenge to get accepted as kavya. I worked on my strong points and tried to diminish my weak points.
W: How do u feel when someone criticises u and they don't do it in such a way that they're giving u advice…they do it just for the heck of it.
E: No no if someone does criticise me then I want to thank them coz if there are any short comings in myself then I would like to correct them. I mean if someone has got scope to criticise then it means they have noticed it and they should bring it to my notice. You solve the problem by acknowledging it. I would actually thank them and constructive criticism is a must. I would work on not giving a chance to anyone to be able to criticise me.

W: There are tons of people who say u guys(Eijaz and Anita) look good together, get married…u know this is just a suggestion from people.

Your take on the special Kavyanjali leaf: I think it pops up in the most weirdest of places, we have a good laugh whenever the leaf comes around. It's very special.

W: do u want to us about any of ur future projects right now?
E: No no…Kavyanjali is my life right now and I'm putting in my best. So we'll wait for the future to decide my fate.
