Just to inform you all...I have given up on waking up early. It's not my cup of tea in mid-July. So today I plan to avoid sleep and write properly. lol.
Since Karan Singh was in fact safe, it really wasn't necessary to show the hype around the accident scene. But there seems to be no cut in the throat. They could've just had a stab in the stomach. Ah well. Arohi being called by Abhay...well...it could have been that Abhay needed someone's support and after all she is close family and also knows KS. So she would've been the right choice. Abhay's aside, well he probably thinks KS is still keen on impressing Arohi. So if he claims to have fought to protect some special object, he will emerge as a hero. Such assumptions are plausible since Abhay doesn't know that Arohi knows the truth. The most shocking part for me was that the doctor referred to Arohi as a gf. Have times changed so much? In the past, he would've said you're lucky to have such a wife...and now gf...woahhhhh the world's changing. lol. And anyone else notice that it was a body double for Arohi. That's what I thought...I don't like this. Kritika's top priority is KMH if HT has other committments, then why not accomodate for such actors so that the director's able to shoot properly...so he doesn't have to make compromises.
The dialogues in Karan Singh's scene seemed very forced to me. The meaning was nice, but they could have been penned differently. The fact that Karan Singh now wants to live each moment of his life with this new perspective is touching, as is his great appreciation for all that is Arohi. However, the dialogues for the har khadi and bhagwan bhi is ki kimat nahi were inappropriate. If Rekha Modi could have found a better way of penning them...Also, the whole transition from makaan to ghar, isn't that slightly quick. I would expect a dialouge like that once they're married and she's with him at home. I would think that the concept of home is association with being comfortable with oneself, not needing to "outsource" for happiness. Yet I think the dialogue was premature. He should have perhaps just ended at the food dialgoue, that would have communicated the feeling well. Although, I must add that i'm scared of falling for KS. My relief at seeing him alive came as a shock. I'm really liking the character, and this may just lead me to find any future negativity completely justified. If we start sympathizing with the antagonist then how will the protagonists be triumphant? I dunoooooo...I guess we gotta wait and see how the plot unfolds.
The Salil-Paddy scene had me applauding the creatives. Each child in this show has been unimaginably respectful towards their parents. It actually seems to be in complete contrast to kids like..well...me...who aren't as calm and composed when it comes to arguments with parents. Antara was rebellious in the beginning, but she was misled byt the bhabhi. Sur revolted once, but you have to sympathize with the girl...the wedding proposal was unasked for. So, I don't recall any one scene where the child has unjustifiably disrespected their parents. Whether it's Salil, Arjun, Arohi...all of them have been immensely respectful of their parents, and calm and composed in all their confrontations. So tell me again why parents wouldn't want their kids watching KMH? KMH is defenitely different!
Okay now mes cheries...allow me to justify.
1. Sur forgetting bangles wasn't last week:
Arohi overheard KS the night of the sangeet. The next morning she goes to give the resignation. In the evening, probably 7pm in India she meets Arjun. I say 7pm cuz usually it's dark by then in India (right?). When she reached home...she hadn't changed or anything, so not sleeping time yet. So Salil et co. arrive prolly around 8pm - bachelor party unveiled. Bachelor part starting at 9ish, and so Arohi/Sur end up there. Sur comes back home. Packing away all her sari nd jewelery and realizes that from the sangeet night which was just yesterday she forgot her bangles there. It was fine to me...esp cuz we got to see Arjuhi in such a romantic setting.
2. Arohi being locked in:
Most people's first instinct would be to want to go out the way they came in. So if the people could have opened the door...nothing like it. Before she could stop and think...Arjun came from the other entrance. They started chatting and so she didn't find the need to leave. During this time, Paddy had entered from the other entrance. Also, some banquet halls have attached restauraunts or most hotels have their banquet hall type rooms. So the two are probably attached but named differently so that people can think of them individually as well. So when they were done eye-locking they left from that 2nd entrance. It's making sense to me right now.
The romance was...ahem ahem...adorable! The tatoo scene took my back to Main Prem ki diwani hoon...it was so adorable there and it was here too. Arohi's 'buttons kyon khol rahe ho" had me laughing soooo hard, and Arjun's eyes when he reveals the naam-ka-tatoo had me in a complete trance! I have butterflies in my stomach and my heart beat's rising....his eyes are mesmerizing...he's so charming!😳
But the whole scene was hilarious! When he said K...I first thought he may say kritika, and immediately after I just felt like he was gonna say Karishma...yeahhh u K...photoshop queen..I dunno why...it was sooo funny! And watching that scene when he was trying to take it off of her face and she was getting irritated somehow portrayed the two as friends for me. It was like friends who were in love. I adore their playfulness! I would've just liked better editing in the drapes scene. I mean there was this part where Arjun's face seems all H&M and the next sec it's all smiley...it was irritating. I enjoyed it...just these kinda scenes require really goood editing, which wasn't there. Anyways, I adore these romantic scenes...i've watched it soo many times while writing this post. lol.
Now Paddy must be really desperate to visit DK around 7ish!
Okay so let me be honest and say that the last scene was really confusing. If DK's final few dialogues are said with contempt and have a twist at the beginning of tomorrow's epi, then his shock at the beginning seems apt. However, the promo has anything to do with the 7oclock-pickup, then why was DK so shocked at the beginning? Anyways, like someone suggested previously, DK's body language showed irritation and unwillingness to listen to Paddy ramble. Either it's the early morning effect, he's drunk, or he genuinely dislikes Paddy. But that's awkward because last time they interacted everything was normal. So this really makes the scene confusing. Now how can a man who is unwilling to believe that history repeats himself, unwilling to assume that nature always has his way...how can he be the one putting aside his adament nature and accept Arjuhi?
Okay so I need to work this out:
Paddy enters- DK = offensive body language
Paddy informs of mature romance - DK = shocked
Paddy weary of past - DK adament that Arohi will not repeat the past
Now doesn't that imply that he will bring Arjuhi together. He will not act as an obstacle, and thus, prevent Arohi from hurting Arjun. "Main nahin chahta ke mera beta kabi laut ke na ayee"...hmmm seems like he's becoming complacent...ready to give in for his son's happiness...this is folllowed by him closing his eyes and saying "woh Arohi" with contempt...now to me closing eyes and saying that indicates that he's ready to accept her in Arjun's life.
DK looks at Paddy sternly and says "wahi Arohi" - Paddy = embarrased face ...now that to me is defenitely indicative of the fact that he's ready to accept Arohi in Arjun's life. I wish the editing at the end had been slightly better...cuz DK changes his stance a little...that would've revealed something.
I have a feeling that he realizes that it was his greedy, self-centered behaviour that forced Savita to leave him. So "main Arohi ko woh....nahi repeat karne doon ga" brings him into the picture. He will not let Arohi leave Arjun forever due to his(read: DK's) greedy/self-centered behaviour. Now Arjun is his weakness...so anything for his happiness. I'm defenitely confused...but it doesn't seem to be that DK is going to a negative character.
I don't think the creatives can handle two antagonists...DK and KS (maybe). Plus DK's MU has been solved...I think they're quickly gonna show him defeated like Amitabh Bachan in Mohabbatein/K3G and then they won;t have the adda bothering them and DK to pay.
That's my take on the epi for now...it may need editing later or contemplating, but that's it for now.
Anyways, I agree with all of you that the background music today was EXCELLENT!
Did anyone notice the piano version of the title song during the phone call scene:
I don't think i've heard it before, and it's absoloutely LOVELY! I love it soo much! Way to go BG music team...go teach the editors a lesson!
Honestly, the editing is ruining the impact. So many scenes I am left asking for more because in a second characters' hands/bodies move from one position to another, and expressions change from one to another and back to another random one. I love the show, but these glitches were intolerable today when they tarnished the drapery-running around scene a bit, and left me a little confused near the end of the epi. They really need to do something!
And I really wanted to see Arjun Arohi slow dance today. The setting was beautiful! I could have so imagined them dancing smoothly surrounded by the curtains. I guess, save it for some other time.
Anyways, enjoyed the episode!😃
