Synopsis: And they did take a hike! As An says...it should not always be Arjun and Arohi when we gauge the quality of the show...They were yet again not the drivers of the show tonight...but the show had its own sweet and sour moments to keep us entertained in parts...I loved the voice over idea (but it reflects the inconsistency...thanks to the musical chairs on the creative department), I hated Arjun and Mallika jumping in with their respective background score every now and then and I was thoroughly engrossed in DK-Savita dialogue! Who says love is lost when one grows old! it gets personified!
DK and Savitha: Who is more selfish?
Today I got to reflect on another aspect of the show...the DK-Savita sequence was my moment of the day...
Both of them were compelled to shed their personal grudges and go to the others doorstep just for the sake of Arjun...They both love him but than is their love unconditional? To me it has not been...as Savita rightly says..they have done what they wanted to do! and what do they get in return? Loneliness...Longing...and Regret! Arjun has to learn the hard way cuz the people who were assigned the duty of teaching him were no where when he needed them the most...DK was busy earning money and Savita was busy living her life as she wanted to! But where was baby Arjun...when he was not a priority for them how do they expect him to prioritize them! I will never challenge the love between him and DK, and would like to mention yet once again that one of the reasons I love the show is that Arjun loves his Dad and respects him (he has to!) but would like to believe that the feeling he had with Arohi was not something he had experienced in his life before...the love of a woman (in what so ever form) is one of the most beautiful feelings in the whole world...Arjun experienced it with Arohi! and today if he has gone to an extent of shooting a person just for the sake of that love just reflects the insecurities in his life...a content person would never do that! I am so glad the creatives finally gave me one reason for Arjun's shootout! I was still looking for it...
They all know each other so well and yet live like strangers! DK knows why Savitha would never help Arjun...Arjun knows that DK loves him, Savitha still misses the presence of DK in her life BUT their egos are big enough a wall that just doesn't let them reach out for each other! The complexities of human relationships have been captured quite beautifully! Nothing is perfect in this world...not even a parent-child relationship! *sigh*
I loved DK's dialogues...wrapped in sarcasm and rightly so he is definitely disturbed at how Arjun's life has shaped up...but than does he really make an effort to help his son? If you ask me...No! As far as Savitha is concerned if she thinks she has had a content life all these 28 years living without a husband she LOVES and her ONLY son...than I have no right to blame her for her irresponsible attitude...since she THINKS its great so who am I to tell her its not!
Dialogue of the Day: "28 saal ki shadi main agar hum aik hi chath kai neeche rehte hain to na to tumhain yeh sawal poochne ki zaroorat padhty hai aur na mujhe jawab dhoondne ki" I could give a standing ovation to DK for saying this! It just covered it all so beautifully!
Satyajeet Sharma is no doubt the best on board! š
Karan Singh: The Hatke Funda!
He is doing it all... the conventional ways of pata'ing a girl...but than that is what makes him Hatke! The photoframe idea was as rotten as it could be but I thoroughly enjoyed it cuz it was shown in a totally different light...This is the way to do it and that is what sets it apart from the SPV torture...Its the handling that makes the difference! I am loving the way this KS-Arohi story is progressing...all I want to request is that KS should NOT seriously fall for her cuz that will definitely take that element away from it! The way he drops the idea of touching her was brilliantly done! I loved that little scene! The flowers, the 'drop-u-at-home' sequence...they are just connecting it way to good!
Bits and Bites
1. DK was naturally surprised to see Savita living in Rupali's house! The repeat sets just take the charm out of it..but than considering the fact that the same sets are being used to project Canada in Kis Desh, using the same sets to project Mumbai does not look a bigger offence!
2. Karan was excellent in the voice overs...I just loveeeeeeed them....gave me the much needed feeling that its a flash back story! One thing that the Big Head got right but considering this came after 6 months....just takes the charm away! But still today I enjoyed Arjun's voice more than his forced entries (with that alaap)!
3."Aaj jaane ki zid na karo...yunhi pehlu main baithe raho" Thanks for reviving one of my favorite ghazals! I still remember hearing it with my Dad when I was just a child...Farida Khanum (who originally sang it) no doubt is malika-e-ghazal!
4. Anjana asked me whether the flowers were the same...and I said yes they were violets...but i would like to believe this was a much smaller bunch than what Arjun gave her! It had lesser flowers and more leaves! or was it my perceptionš?
5. Paddy is back with her Body Double and fashion disaster! But she does what she is best at doing...creates another MU...poor purvi tends to believe the lady who broke her wedding and humiliated her family..Kuddos to Purvi for being the Bahu of the Millenium!
6. "Aap ko koi GAIT out bol dai aur aap chup rahain...aisa to kabhi nahin hoa" after a long long time I loved something coming out of Mr. Salil Mittal....ofcourse apart from the GAIT out!
Finally it was something worth watching...As I look at it after writing my take I think it was not a bad episode afterall!

P.S: Thanks a lot for reading the story I posted yesterday and more so for liking it...as I said I hated it...just because there were so many things I wanted to write but just could not probably cuz I am not patient enough to continue writing for that long! But still a big hug for always reading what I post....means a lot to me...
But you will be saved from reading my posts for the next two days! I am having guests over the weekend and with the crazy outing schedule that we have sketched out I am sure I will not even get time to turn on my laptop...poor creature will get some rest too! I will join back on Sunday though....But will not be analyzing the next two shows! Now lets see what do I miss....A weekend bonanza or another dud!
Since I have a lecture tommorow so me still busy! But will try to jump in during the next few hours!
For the next two days you will get Anjana and Anu as the Adda Posters! So enjoy the rest of the week!
Down the Memory Lane with Ria: Takraar and Pyaar!
One of my most favourite Arjun-Arohi interactionsš!
March 26 is yet another day which I can never forget! Arjun is inquisitive and Arohi is confident! Their conversation is magical! TIt was the first time they explicitlly talked about love! The perfect mix of takrar and pyaar! Even if "By the way astraunats bhi sirf space main jaate hain" did not tickle your funny bone...."agar tumhain thora sa....ziada nahin...thora sa woh stupid emotion pyaar ho jaye to tum kia karo gi" will sure make you fall in love! Bas Itani Mohabbat Hai!
