Part 9 -
You know Arjun, even Purvi is surprised to see Ayesha, we all know these sisters don't share very nice relationship but this time everything is unlike. I think we should leave it to Purvi, she will find it out in no time, after all she is a body language expert.
Hmmm... I am sure Ayesha's acting talents would not be enough to deceive Purvi's apprehensive; today they all went for a shopping so they will have so much time to spend with each other.
Btw don't you think these ladies are taking too much time in shopping?
Really Salil? After all these years of marriage you still complain about that? You should be used to it by now.
You are right buddy... both friends laughed and had another round of drinks.
In the evening Arohi, Purvi and Amrit came back from shopping, holding many bags. Little Savi came running towards them hearing their voices but when she saw Arohi, she hid behind Purvi's legs, Arohi's pleasant smile dropped to see a sweet little girl being afraid of her, Arohi was always good with kids, they fall in love with her in a short span of time. Purvi cheered her up by giving those toys she bought for her and took her away in her room. Amrit also left for her room to keep her bags while Salil followed her wife and daughter. That left Arjun and Arohi alone.
Arohi was sad by this incident, she loves kids and Savi was really one of the cutest kids she has seen, she wanted to play with her, pull her chubby cheeks, listen her innocent chattering but Savi not even come near her, in fact she hides herself whenever Arohi is around.
Arjun was studying her silently; Arohi didn't notice him coming towards her... What do you expect Ayesha? You never treated Savi nicely, kids only understands the language of love.
Arohi nodded and turned to go but Arjun stopped her and took all those bags she was holding and walked to their room, He dropped them all on the bed... wow... looks like you guys already bought half of the mall, he joked and Arohi smiled and replied, wait till you see how much Ma and Di shopped.
Arjun was surprised to hear that, Ayesha never called her mother Ma, it was always mom or mamma for her and even though Purvi was older than her, she never called her di, because she never accepted her as her sister. It was quite affectionate coming from her mouth. Arjun smiled back and Arohi was in awe of that sight, it was pretty rare when he smiles with her, they both locked their eyes for a while when a phone call broke their moment.
Arjun went to pick his phone while Arohi busied herself in keeping her shopped stuffs to save herself from embarrassment.
At the dinner time, everyone was settled in the garden area, today they are having dinner in an open space, after long time full family was together, just then Arjun arrived and apologized for being late, so our workaholic son in law found work in a new town too... Amrit taunted and everyone laughed. Arjun smiled sheepishly... It's okay Ma, even his wife is late today, spoke Purvi.
Why is she taking too much today? asked Sudhir... just then they saw Arohi coming, they all were staring at her with shocked expressions, Arjun turned to see what caused them this response and his own reaction was no different. Arohi was wearing blue sari, she was looking so pretty in that attire, matching bangles jingling on her wrist when she was walking, Her open hairs were waving, light makeup was enhancing her natural beauty and that small bindi on her forehead was giving her more traditional and gorgeous look...
Arjun couldn't take his eyes off of her. Arohi sat beside him and tucked her loose curl behind her ears, everyone's scrutinizing eyes making her nervous but Arjun's eyes were evoking a different kind of feeling in the pit of her stomach, she always find this tired look on him sexy and appealing, dishevel hair, frustratingly loosed tie and few open button of his shirt.
Salil cleared his throat which broke Arjun and Arohi's eyes lock, wow Sali sahiba you are looking beautiful, I have never seen you in traditional look before of course except the day of your marriage. Arohi blushed and thanked him.
Really Ayesha you are looking gorgeous, Amrit complimented her. I think you bought this sari today because I don't think you had Sari's before?
Yes Ma I bought it today.
Its beautiful Ayesha, Purvi admired her look after studying her for a while, everyone complimented her apart from Arjun. After that dinner was served and they were all got busy in eating and chatting.
Arohi's heart beats were faster than normal to sit this close with him, she keeps checking him out once in a while but whenever he looks at her side she starts acting to be busy in eating. Arjun couldn't help but smiled on her childish antics, He was definitely surprised and doubtful on her behavior but at the same time he started liking this new Ayesha a bit.
Next morning Arohi was preparing juice for Sudhir but her mind was somewhere else, she knows she was falling for Arjun but couldn't help herself, It was happening like it's a normal thing and they were fated to be together. She wanted to love him freely with all her heart but she couldn't, because every time she feels this way, all those guilt she had inside distressing her.
A loud crushing sound jerked her, she came to see and found a shivering Savi pinned to the wall, there lying a broken Chinese glass statue. Arohi understood the matter, she walked ahead to Savi, Savi was even more scared to see her, her tears were now more frequent, I am sorry Masi, I was just playing, I don't know how it happened... Plz Masi Don't slap me or lock in that dark room, room is scary, Savi again started crying. Arohi felt a sharp pain in her heart to see this little girl in this condition. She came ahead ignoring those glass pieces and picked savi in her arms, she made her sit on the sofa and started checking her tiny hands and legs for any injury, she cleaned her foot by her Pallu and hugged her again, she was rubbing Savi's back and continuously telling her... Its okay and no one will punish you. It wasn't your fault. After some time Savi calmed down, Arohi wiped her tears and kissed her forehead.
Just then Salil, Purvi and Amrit arrived, they all soothed her, Arohi smiled to Savi and went to her room to check the reason which causing her pain and limping, she was trying to pull out the tiny piece of glass poked her when she was picking Savi.
Someone held her foot carefully and placed on his lap, Arohi looked up and saw Arjun front of her with First aid box. He pulled out the glass piece and cleaned her wound, Arohi squeezed her eyes in pain, when he was done with her dressing, he picked her in his arms and made her sit on the bed cautiously, Her arms were still around his neck, he looked at her face, she was staring at him with wet eyes, which looks so innocent and child like, he was tempt to touch her and similarly Arohi was craving for his touch... they both moved closer, he looked down at her luscious and natural pink lips which were inviting him.
Someone knocked on their door, Arjun removed her hands and stormed out, leaving Arohi astonished and disappointed. He needed fresh air badly so he came out from that house. Arjun was really angry on himself for reacting to her this way, it was supposed to be a test for her but instead he was failing in it. And that response from her was even more surprising for him, he could see affection in her eyes, Ayesha never looked at him with so much fondness and warmth before.
When Savi was playing in the hall and broke that glass statue, Arjun was there, he was about to go to her but Ayesha beat him to it, she didn't know he was present there, Her full attention was on Savi that she haven't noticed him there, He was expecting her to finally come out in her true colors especially when she thinks no one is around but what happened was totally unexpected. Ayesha had a special kind of love for antics and this one was really costly. He remembers last time Savi broke the ordinary vase and the reaction by Ayesha was so frightening towards Savi. Now even Arjun is forced to think differently about her. Was Salil right? Is she really changing? Goshh... this is so frustrating.
when Arjun left Purvi entered inside Arohi's room and asked about her wound... Arohi replied she is fine and asked how is savi. Purvi replied she is sleeping.
Arohi was taken aback when Purvi crossed her arms and suddenly asked "who are you? "
