Part 8 -
Salil and Purvi arrived after two days, Arjun was so happy to have his best friend around, especially in this situation when he badly needed someone to talk.
At the evening Arjun and Salil were having drinks...
So Arjun spill the beans... ordered Salil.
What? He looked at him questioningly...
Oh come on Arjun you are emptying bottles after bottles, something is definitely bothering you. So just tell me.
Arjun shrugged, What's new? after getting married I have always something which bothers me, but this time it's different... I mean I don't understand this girl, she is behaving so weird after that accident, I feel like I am with a complete new person.
What do you mean by complete new person?
Just wait till you meet her, you will understand what I am talking about. She is nice and polite with everyone, I have never seen this side of her, she takes care of her father, you know she didn't let us hire any nurse for uncle, she makes his dietary food, gives him medicines on appropriate time, reads daily newspaper for him and takes him to the garden in his wheel chair. Not just me even Ma is confuse, she couldn't believe her eyes.
Salil interrupted in between... so what's the big deal, Arjun? I know these things about Ayesha is hard to believe but time changes people, maybe after hearing about Papa's heart attack she realized her mistake like how she wound him in the past and trying to mend them.
Really? Well if you have forgotten my friend, this is not the first time he is in ill situation, it happened before also but she wasn't concerned a bit and not just with papa, she is different with everybody, her mother, her servants and even with me, she smiles every time tosee me, as if she is actually happy to have me around and not a fake one, it looks so genuine. We all know in which circumstances we got married and now a days she behaves as if everything is fine between us, as if we are those normal couples, yes I told her to pretend front of her parents but she continues it even when we are alone. whenever I talk rudely with her, she never answers back and I haven't found any trace of anger or annoyance in her, just sadness in her eyes which makes me feel guilty and I hate it, I hate the way I started feeling around her.
So that's the problem... you are afraid that you might fall for her again?
No ways Salil, I am not gonna repeat my mistake because who never learns from his mistakes is a biggest fool in the world. There is no chance in falling for her, when we don't even know what is running in her mind.
Hmmm... so what do you think Arjun? What is this? Why she is behaving this way?
I don't know, this is really bewildering Salil, she acts so well of this innocent and nice women.

Arjun I know she had hurt you badly in the past but maybe she is changing, maybe she actually started having feelings for you, after all you saved her life, maybe she is grateful of you and wants to end all those fights you both have in between.
I don't think so Salil, haven't I told you that she is still having affair with that bas***d Sam, I am sure they both are plotting something together and this change in Ayesha is as well one of the part to fool us all.
Have you talked with each other after that accident?
Not much, but yeah I remember her strange talking in the car, Arjun laughed again, she told me, she is not Ayesha but someone else who looks like her, Ayesha died in that accident and this person with me is not her. Can you believe that Salil?
Salil thought for a while and replied... Arjun I think she said she is not ayesha means, she is not the same Ayesha anymore, she is a new person who just looks like her but not her.

Listen Arjun, think it this way, she said Ayesha died means the Ayesha she was before has died and this is new person, maybe she finally got to know how Sam is just using her against you for his personal revenge and decided to break up with him, then that accident happened... you know sometimes some disasters actually helps us in thinking straight, perhaps it was an eye opener for her too. Take her words in a philosophical manner.
I don't know Salil, after all these months I am incapable of deciding what to believe and what not to, because every time I trust her she breaks it harder than before.
I understand Arjun, btw anything else you found eccentric in her behavior?
Yeah she keeps forgetting many things, like the date we got married, her bedroom, she forgot the password of her own laptop and so on... what do you think about that?
Well it could be partial amnesia, sometimes if happened because of the effects of medicines and sometime these kinds of accidents leaves some traumatic effects which causes these distresses.
Oh so at least this is real, not any drama...
If this is all drama then I don't think she can put up with this for long, even if we try so much we can't hide our real selves forever, truth is bound to come out, sooner or later.
You are right Salil, if she is the same Ayesha and this is all acting then her true colors will come out soon behind her Oscar winning acting.
But Arjun I would suggest you not to be so rude with her, when she is nice, you should also, she just came out from that terrible accident after all.
