Arjun walked inside his home late in night after dropping Arohi at her place..he saw Karan sitting at bar having his drink...
"u need to control ur drinking habit" he said approaching her...
Karan rolled his eyes..."will think about it..okay brother!"
Arjun sat beside him..."do u really hate me?" he asked sighing...
"I hope someday I am able to answer u" he said nonchalantly...
Arjun nodded slightly..
"so got rid of that ring finally?" Karan asked raising his eyebrows...
Arjun nodded grinning..."finally"
Karan poured drink for him n passed it to him..."so tell me about it..."
Arjun stared him shocked for a while before starting..."well I took her to farmhouse I recently bought..."
"no no brother..tell me how deeply and passionately u kissed her after she said yes!" he winked at him making Arjun's mouth hung open...
"eew! That's so gross" Arjun shook his head sipping his drink making Karan burst out into laughter...
"well because my supposed to be room was locked so I placed my things in ur room..."
Arjun stood up finishing his drink...he shifted his blazer and looked at Karan...
"will be waiting for u in bed, honey!" he blew a kiss at him n moved upstairs going to their room...
Karan sat their stunned at an unexpected reaction from him...

~~Next Day~~
Arjun Arohi and Ananya were waiting outside with cars for Karan...they all were leaving for Agra.
Arjun: god! He takes time more than a girl..he said tired of waiting..
Arohi: Mr. Arjun Singhania...what do u mean? She asked crossing her arms and giving him a pointed look...
Arjun coughed fidgeting with words to find answer...
Karan: don't go all feminist on my brother, beautiful...the superstar is finally here! he came outside holding his small carry bag...his smile dropped as he saw Ananya...
Ananya smiled slowly t him and whispered hi to which he just gave a slight nod..
Karan: I didn't know u were coming too...he said blankly...
Ananya: Arohi called me this morning...informing me about ur arrival...
Karan gave "I will see u later" look to Arohi but she ignored him keeping her attention fixed at Arjun...
Arjun rubbed his hand: so! Me n Arohi taking one car...and Karan, u and Ananya are coming in another car.
Karan: W*F! Not happening...I am not driving all the way to Agra...
Arjun: KARAN!
Ananya: no problem...we will switch in between Karan. I will drive.
Arjun: yeah! So problem solved!
Karan: I want to discuss something with Arohi! So we are switching partners...I and Arohi. U and Ananya!
Arjun glared him: Arohi is my P.A.. my girlfriend. my soon to be wife...so she is coming with me...
Karan: but she is my best friend too...he whined.
Arjun opened his mouth to say something but Arohi cut him off...
Arohi: sorry Karan! But Love over best friend anyday...she side hugged Arjun giggling at him...
Karan frowned: u guys are so mean...he said making both Arjun and Arohi laugh...
Arjun: okay now come on everyone get into cars...we are already running late...
Ananya: umm...guys! I think I should come by my own car. She said staring at Karan intentionally...
Karan: I will drive for first 60 km only...he unlocked his car and settled inside...
Ananya looked at him and then at Arohi who nudged her to go ahead and sit in car...
She sat in car not knowing what this journey holds for her...
Karan ignited the engine and drove off as soon as Ananya settled in...
Arjun: do u think all this will help? He asked with uncertainty...
Arohi: don't know...but no harm in trying! She grinned...
Arjun smiled and pecked her lips: I love u!
Arohi: u better do...she winked and then giggled as Arjun picked her and settled in car...

The ride to Agra was going very silent so unlike them. Karan was enjoying some random music that was playing on radio completely ignoring Ananya...
Ananya knew she had to make effort but she didn't know how to start...they were meeting after almost 8 months...after their last meet in Australia...there was no communication between both of them...although she kept tabs on him through Arohi but no direct contact...
Ananya: how have u been? She asked finally breaking the ice...
Karan: still collecting pieces of my broken heart...he asked staring at road...
Ananya closed her eyes for a brisk moment: Did u...Did u hear all the voice messages I sent u? She asked building up all her courage. From last 8 months she has been sending him voice messages talking about nothing in particular...sometimes it was them she will talk about...sometimes she will tell him about her day...but at the end of every message she begged for his forgiveness...she demanded for his love...in reply all she got was silence and uncertainty if he was at least hearing her?
She waited for his reply with bated breath and just as the reply came she could hear sound of her hopes shattering..."NO" it was a stern no from him...
Ananya: No..! Not even for once? Her eyes tearing up but she maintained her composure...
Karan: Never...I am starting over and I definitely not needed a reminder of my past...
Ananya didn't say anything further and started staring out of window...a lone tear escaped her eye even if she tried hard to not let it...will there be any day when she and Karan will be one again? She thought sadly...
The rest of journey was spent in silence...
When they reached Agra just by looking at Ananya Arohi knew the road trip thing didn't go well...

The inauguration went well now they all were in party where all guests were having tour of hotel...Karan as usual was sitting at his fav. place..."BAR"
Arjun and Arohi after greeting everyone came to him...
Arohi: Karan! Will u dance with me? She asked forwarding her hand...
Karan gulped his drink and looked at her pouting...
Karan: what happened of Love over Friend anytime...he raised his brow at her...
Arohi chuckled: holding grudges...are we? Come on dance with me na...I am bored of dancing with same guy all the time...she stuck her tongue out to Arjun n winked at Karan...
Karan laughed: finally u r realizing how boring my brother is..! he smirked holding her stretched hand...sorry brother! He gave him a tight smile and moved to dance floor with Arohi...
"Spill it already the true motive behind all this dance..." Karan said as soon as he and Arohi started swinging on music...
Arohi: straight to the point ahaan!...
Karan: so speak up now...I know ur stomach must be aching till now...
Arohi laughed: come on Karan...relax down a bit...enjoy the party! We both were together on this project initially...so celebrate the success...she winked...
Karan shook his head: u did a great work Arohi...the hotel is amazing...he said robotically...now it's time to start our favrt game..."investigate Karan.."
Arohi shook her head laughing: u r impossible Karan..! okay so tell me..Why are u being difficult? She said in serious tone letting Karan know that finally the Talk has started...
Karan: u have a nerve to ask me this question...! U really can't expect me to forget about 3 years of my life...
Arohi: it's about letting go...how long r u planning to hold it against them?
Karan: I have already accepted their apologies...there is nothing more I can do for them...
Arohi: if u have burnt in fire for 3 years, Karan then they also had...yes they committed a mistake...but u do have a role to play in it...they assumed everything and accused u without listening ur side...which was wrong on their part...and they regret it more than anything now...but the things could have been different if u hadn't behaved like an egoistic idiot..
Karan: excuse me!
Arohi: Arjun Ananya and everyone else blamed u...they broke all their ties with u...but Karan u...u simply gave up! u didn't gave a fight Karan...u let them believe whatever they wanted...if they weren't ready to listen u...u should have made them listen u by hook or crook...they asked u to quit and u willingly gave ur resignation...relationships doesn't work like that...
Karan: there was no trust Arohi...for what I would have fought?
Arohi: for a brother...who spent 3 years repenting that his brother destroyed a girl's life...for a brother who lived in illusion that the girl he loved...loved him back...for a girl u loved...for a girl who died everyday thinking that her love betrayed her...for a girl who almost destroyed her life marrying an abusive man...
U are not wrong Karan...not then not now...but if u had decided to deal with things differently the situation could have been different...u let everyone live in dark and hate u just bcz no one ever asked u What happened Karan?
It has been 8 months Karan...I have seen them trying with all their might to earn ur forgiveness...to get u back in ur life...but the effort is just one sided! It's only them...u r just pushing them...
It's time to let go Karan...holding on past will be no good for either of u...
Karan: my heart is still in recovery period...I need more time.
Arohi: why are u so afraid? She asked staring in his eyes...
Karan looked her silently: m not afraid...
Arohi smiled: we both know Karan...u have collected all the broken pieces of ur heart...but u r afraid that if u let ur heart be vulnerable once again...it will end up breaking...
Karan: and this time I won't be able to gather pieces...he completed her sentence..
Arohi: I understand ur position Karan...but the Karan I know is never afraid of taking chances...u have already suffered so much...don't do this to urself more...she squeezed his shoulder n left to join Arjun..
Karan glanced at Arjun and then at Ananya...and he left from there...

It's been 2 days Karan had the Talk with Arohi...they all were back in Delhi..he had kept himself locked in his room...he had finally got courage to listen all the voice messages Ananya had sent him...he knew Arohi was rite...it was time to let go of past but it was easy said than done...his mobile pinged and he checked it to find a new voice message from Ananya...he was little taken back to see it but nevertheless heard it...
"U are just few meters away from me I can come to u if I want to talk but the thing is...u don't want to talk..." her voice was raspy as if she has been crying..."u are so near to me Karan yet so far...I know it breaks u too to see us like this but u will never admit...even if it will hurt u like hell u won't show bcz u want to hurt me...n that's fair enough! It doesn't matter how many times I say sorry...the past will still remain same...the truth will always be that I didn't trust u...I broke ur heart!" there was long pause before a sob came out..."plz tell me Karan what should I do to get u back...I can't take this...I want to make this all right but I don't know how to do that...I can't let u go...if I do I won't survive...I love u so selfishly...I can't be selfless and make all the sacrifices...bcz I can't give up on u...on us" again there was silence..."I know u don't hear my messages but I hope someday u do...and know how much m falling apart without u...and then someday we will be together again...I am holding on to it Karan until my last breath..." "I am sorry...I love u...yours Ananya"
"I love u too Ananya..." he whispered in a breath slumping back on chair...

Ananya was pulling out all the packages from car when she felt the presence of someone behind her...she turned to find Karan standing there...
Karan: hi...he stood there tucking his hands in pocket...
Ananya for a second couldn't believe her eyes...she blinked few time before replying...
Karan extended his hand helping her with package...
Karan: was nearby due to work...so dropped in to say hi...
Ananya: oh! Come upstairs for coffee...she said keeping her composure but inside butterflies were fluttering in her stomach...
Karan: no! I m fine..he said starting walking with her...he was going to profess his love second time to the same girl and fine he was scared...scared to give his heart to the same person who shattered it once...
Karan: I heard ur all voice messages..! he informed her and just in the time the lift came...
Ananya just nodded slightly: I mean everything I said in all of them...she took the package from him and stepped inside lift..
He heard them all and still was as cold as before...her last hope that might after listening her he will forgive her broke into pieces...she didn't know what will she do now...she is never going to get her Karan back...with what was left in her she stared at Karan and wearily smiled at him...
Karan stood at his place seeing the play of emotions on her face...and what he saw made all his fears fly away...in that moment he realized she is the only girl with whom he can trust his heart again...now no matter what...she is not going to break him like before...he had come past everything...and without him knowing his heart has already let go of past...his miseries ended and it was time to end her miseries...and start over!
Before the lift could close Karan rushed inside pinning Ananya on lift wall n crashed his lips on hers kissing her with urgency...
Ananya was too stunned to respond...she didn't know what happened...the lift was closing and in the next instant Karan was all over her kissing her passionately...
Karan took her arms and wrapped around his neck pulling her closer...he kissed her like there was no tomorrow...Ananya came out of her initial shock and kissed him back letting herself sink in his passion...she opened her mouth making him deepen the kiss...finally they both pulled out for breath..
Karan held her shoulders staring in her eyes..
"I love u.Ananya" he said catching his breath.."I never stopped loving u.."
Ananya closed her eyes as tears made their way...how much she had yearned to hear it from him...she collapsed in his arms sobbing harshly..
"I love u Karan...I love u so much..." she said between her sobs..
Karan cupped her cheek "I know...I know!" and he again kissed her but this time it was sweet and genlt unlike previous one..
