hi,

finally caught up, congrats first for your forth threat.

i have noticed in last 10 plus updates your story is moving really slow. still loving it dont get me wrong but feel you need to gain a bit of momentum as will get stuck in the same mode as the saas bahu serials you know. please dont leave us guessing much longer to what is wrong with karen. and please make arohi at least a bit more mature. i still love your concept and writing so please dont stop without finishing your story.

ps: i'm sorry if i might have said anything wrong.

and thanks for all the pm, evan though i've taken ages to catch up.

Scene306 Karan getting intoxicated

Arjun puts hand in his blazer and removes chocolates and gives it to Karan: I brought you something Karan, forgot to give them

Karan: Chocolates

Arjun: For you, you like it?

Karan: I love them and stops eating dinner removes a "kisses chocolate" and is about to put it in mouth but stops

PRS scolding: Leave those chocolates and have your food first

Karan: Sorry papa, Thanks Arjun and puts chocolates in his pocket

All have dinner. Karan again has brought very less food for himself and fiddling with it. PRS watches for sometime then takes the spoon and feeds him two three spoons. Initially Karan is in no mood to have but when PRS requests him with his eyes Karan has the food. Then he takes the spoon and himself has the food but without any interest as if counting rice grains and roti bites so slowly.

Arjun cannot understand why Karan is acting so moody like a 3 year old kid with his father.

PRS is called to be introduced to some guests.

Its 12 am and Karan is drowsy and irritated and drinking glass after glass.

Karan: These stupid parties, I hate them. When will dad come

Arjun: Are you tired and sleepy Karan?

Karan: Are you not?

Arjun: Yea a bit. Papa, I mean your papa is very tensed about you Karan

Karan intoxicated: I understand, I am also scared if I will match up to his expectations. Dad has passion you see. Dad immerses himself in business like he is in trance.

many of these chaps are written as prelude to future story currently they may look slowing the pace but each scene will avoid many more chaps in future and story will become self explanatory

Scene307 PRSs mask

Karan is intoxicated heavily murmuring: Dad does it as a means to relieve himself of his pain past and present. I cannot do that. I have still not learned to completely hide my pain in mask and smile for the outside the world sometimes I show my fears openly. But my dad, he has spent majority of his life doing that putting on a mask for the world

Arjun hears some of Karan's murmuring: Relive himself of pain past and present? What does that mean?

Karan blabbering in intoxication: Poor daddy, I want to give him some happiness

Arjun: Karan Karan (shakes him) tell me what is the matter? Why does papa put a mask for the world? What pain does he have?

Karan realizing he may have spoken something wrong: Nothing nothing with sadness in eyes and starts laughing I am very happy OK very happy

Arjun: You do not want to tell its OK

Karan point blank: You also never told truth to me why you cried on my shoulder that day at my house(and stares into Arjun's eyes) why did you cry tell me no? why?

Arjun to avoid interrogation: You have drunk too much, give me your glass and pulls his glass and keeps it aside

Karan angry and intoxicated heavily: How dare you pull my glass? I am a prince. Do not dare do that again OK.

Arjun scolding : I do not care you are prince or King. You will not drink anymore.

Karan: You have to be punished for this and pull Arjun and makes him sit on chair. First listen to my punishment

Scene308 Karan's punishment

Arjun sits angrily and irritated thinking: Papa is not strict with Karan. If he drinks too much he may have liver problem later on in life. I will never allow him to drink again. Papa is very careless around Karan and Gunjan. He bends for all their demands. I will not allow these two's man mani anymore.

Arjun angrily and sarcastic: What is my punishment Yuvrajji(like others address Karan)?

Karan: Punishment is 100 more "Kisses" chocolates get me right now? And stares at Arjun pulling his hand give me my chocolates

Arjun looks at Karan's innocent but pain filled eyes. Something is wrong but Karan is not telling. How to get it out of his mouth?

Arjun gets up from chair and hugs him: OK punishment accepted but I will not allow you to drink

He goes to his father and asks him if they can leave. PRS says there is some urgent meeting in Delhi, he has to leave immediately. PRs says he has called Karan's driver and he will come and pick Karan in half an hour. Arjun says he will leave Karan to house and he can carry on.

PRS hesitates but when Arjun insists on taking Karan he agrees and says thanks.

PRS comes to Karan and looks at him. Karan is heavily intoxicated. PRS looks at him upset and embraces him.

PRS: Karan, beta you go home OK. Arjun will leave you. I have to go to Delhi, will come back tomorrow morning

Karan hugging PRS: No papa, I will not allow you to go anywhere. Come with me. Do not leave me alone.

Arjun gets confused and looks at PRS
