I looked at that side and gaped how can this be? Oh no no please god save me. Don't tell me Arjun is the band leader and I've to go ask him to help us after what I said outside oh hell no.
I stood up and was about to run away when the band took over the stage and started singing. I froze in my track the music was so beautiful almost breathtaking. I decided otherwise and sat. It was a beautiful performance, I won't deny that whoever composes the music is really a talented guy but as for singing goes a big no I prefer the soft classical singing. However I haven't told my friends yet about that rude guy being Arjun only. So they are prodding me to talk to them after the performance. The performance ended and I reluctantly got up to talk to them. I reached the back door and waited my band was also standing there. They were literally jumping and squealing at the thought of sharing the stage with The Royal Idiots and I was sad that he would definitely turn me down. They came out after sometime. Ah I m so nervous never in my life I had this hard crisis situation. Though I have to do it. I approached them rather reluctantly.
"Hey, um I have a request" I said trying to be confident.
"Hey, um I'm busy" Arjun replied. And he rode his bike and went away.
"Don't worry didi he is like that" said a sweet looking boy. He must be in first year that's why he is calling me didi.
"Hey, I'm Arohi and you?"
"I'm Salil I'm the drummer in the band"
"Oh, hey I have a request will you guys would like to play with us?"
"Play? Didi we are not so sporty"
"Haha oh no I mean perform look this is my band ANGELs that is Purvi that is Simi and that is Gauri"
"Oh that I have to ask bhai but why suddenly you want to play with us?"
So I told him everything and he was beyond happy to help.
"Hey BTW these are my band mates this is romit and this is jay and you know Arjun bhai already"
"Hmm nice to meet you guys"
"Hey don't worry I'll talk to bhai, for this noble cause he'll definitely agree"
"Aru its late daddu would be bursting by now" Purvi said.
"Oh yeah, hey bye guys talk to you later and yeah if possible I'd like to do the performance day after tomorrow so please help me"
"Yeah sure bye didi wait can you give me your number?"
"Yeah sure"
After exchanging numbers I left for home. It's 8:30 already if it were some normal town it would be okay but in cold places like this evening sets very soon and what I dreaded the most was my daddu's wrath. Though nothing much is expected I said I'd be home by 7:30 I'm just an hour late.
'Huh keep telling that, it might help your guts.' But when I reached home it was a whole different scenario daddu was not on the door rather nanny opened it and he was not in his room so I headed towards mine and found daddu there. And my whole room scattered with broken CDs. Oh crap he found my secret hidden CDs given by dad. Now it's a real crisis.
The next 2 hours went into chock full chastising as in not just scolding but real hunter thingy real chastising. But I got only a little chastising and rest just mere shouts and scolds so its okay but the most that I was hurt was about my CDs, though dad is into new music he always sent me classical Mozart because I like classical but daddu doesn't even like anything but Indian so my poor CDs go into the dustbin.
I woke up next morning with puffy eyes because of crying overnight. Ah college !! I got up quickly and got ready. I was in a broody mood over my CDs though daddu apologized over his overreaction but what is lost is lost.
I left for the college and whole day I was still in a very bad mood. So I went to the library cuz other than music books soothe me. Only one empty chair was there so I sat on it the other occupant on the other side of the table was fast asleep head on the table. But I couldn't see his face and more than that I didn't care so I started reading Jane Eyre one of my all time favorite book.
After sometime a girl came she was hovering over the desk so I thought I should ask but soon I realized it's the same girl from yesterday night who proposed to that Arjun aka rude guy. But why is she waking this guy wait don't in freaking hell tell me this sleeping guy is Arjun OMG. And yeah he is.
He woke up and gave a short glance at me and looked towards the girl she was there with a basket of chocolates she smiled as yesterday did not happen at all.
"What is it?" he asked
"Oh well this is for you. You look very handsome today" she smiled cheekily.
"Humph didn't I tell you yesterday I'm not into you…… so don't follow me around. And looks like you dabbed yourself on make up today… huh even if you get a plastic surgery it won't help."
The girl left rather hurt but does this girl has any pride if this were me he would have ended up in hospital by now.
"Hello so we meet again. Well salil called me and told me everything. Even though I don't have time I'll do it. But if you keep following me like this it won't help" he said mockingly.
I felt like giving him a punch but he was right that won't help.
"You guys come to library to read I think it's the best place to sleep cuz no noise and by the looks it looks like you need some sleep….. wait did you stay up whole night thinking what I would say?" with a smirk he left.
I really don't understand why is he like this? He is not only rude but quite weird. Whatever he left his chocolate basket. I should just return it to him.
I ran towards the exit and shouted.
"Hey Mr. royal idiot"
"what?" he looked back rather shocked. Then he smiled. OMG this guy can actually smile rather than just smirk around.
"That was quite intelligent I'd say so you must be the good grade geeks huh? Well anyways what is it?"
"You know what you are quite mad you how much it must have hurt that girl you just wavered off. You are really really very rude do you know that?"
"That's a first even though I have always said that girl almost exact same words 100 times she always comes back saying I'm cool, I'm hot, I'm this I'm that. But even though I did not say anything to you, you have problem with that? You know what this not some fantasy or movie or drama where if you really fight with the guy you will get the guy in the end. Its reality if you like me that much why don't you just say it"
"What? You are not just rude or weird you are just thick headed and mad. Why do you think I'll like you I mean YOU never. And you just think the world revolves around you?"
"No I never wanted to believe that but the students of this college do act like the world revolves around me"
"Okay you are famous but then is your appearance-based prejudice right?"
"Ha haha you all do that don't you? Who in this college likes me because of my awesome musical talents but all of you like me because I'm cool I'm good-looking. It's not my fault is it? I deserve to be treated legit but you people don't let me. If I ask someone how was my performance? They'll say oh that well you looked awesome out there. If you all can do the appearance-based prejudice why can't I?" he burst off. And I could sense that deep down inside that rude guy there is more of a hurt person. I felt sad for him.
"Okay I get it. But look these chocolates are not bad. You should just take them." These would definitely help his mood.
"If you think so just have them and by looking at your size it is pretty clear that you do eat lot of these so just have them" now look he is back at his normal old self which pisses me off the most.
He turned away to go.
"Hey well you can reject girls nicely" I suggested trying to sympathize with him.
"Well if I keep rejecting nice they would keep coming and well a girl like you has no idea about it right? Ah well stop following me"
"Okay good but you keep coming in front of me not my fault. And I don't even like to see your so much loved face" I was going to overtake him but darn it I tripped over my shoelace I went straight for the floor in this dire situation I grabbed into whatever came in the way to avoid the fall but anyways I ended up falling right on my butt. But wait I did grab into something oh shit Arjun's ankle and the chocolates scattered on the whole corridor.
Everyone tsked that I must be another of his lovesick fan girl. Oh crap shit f*** why the hell I tried to overtake him??
