sorry everyone for disappointing u all n not updating for so long i had been alittle busy n now my holiday is starting soon so i will continue this thread in few days

Chapter 5 scene 1
Arohi entered her room,the phone was ringing nonstop. It must be a lesson cancellation from one of her students. Damn it! he was making her swear. But honestly, why couldn't her students give her more notice? She snatched up the phone and tried to answer civilly.

Arohi-Hello!

Shefali-Hi, can i talk 2 Miss Arohi Sharma
Arohi-Yes thats me!
Shefali-Oh,hi! I'd about given up on getting through. Your line has been busy all morning. This
is Shefali, the producer of Single Design."

All the air left Arohi's lungs.

Shefali-Congratulations! You and your single neighbor'let's see'Arjun Singhania have been selected to be on our show."

Arohi knew she was supposed to react but she was shocked by the news.

"Wow!"

Fabulous. She sounded simultaneously inane and fake.

Shefali-"Since it's been several months since you applied, I need to verify that you both still reside in the West Downtown apartments?"

Arohi-"Yes," she said faintly. The call couldn't have come five minutes earlier? Before she'd yelled at Arjun?

Shefali-"Both still single?"

Arohi-"Oh, yes." She said this with more firmness.

Shefali laughed. "Let's hope we can do something about that."Arohi's eyes went to her empty dining nook. An elegant space for romantic dinners was within her grasp.

Shefali continued. "As you know, the format of our show is to make your space more date-friendly. In fact ' are you two dating?"

Arohi-Is that a requirement? she almost yelled.

Shefali-"Not exactly'" "Ahhh, but I can tell you'd like to be. That is so great! We'll use that tension."

Arohi-"No,no nothing like that we are just friendly neighbours"she lied. Arohi closed her eyes and visualized the dining furniture. Then she visualized soundproofing Arjun's bedroom.

Scene 2

Shefali- Now, I need to verify a few details and set up a time when the designers can meet with you both and see the spaces. Also, you'll need to have the apartment manager sign the
consent-and-release form."

"Not a problem." And it wasn't. Her problem was right next door.

After hanging up the phone, she closed her eyes. Oh, yes, the fates were amusing themselves today. She might as well get it over with. Yes, she was going to ask, and possibly beg to, arjun. And she was going to do it right now, before her first student arrived.

She knocked on his door. After several seconds, she rang the doorbell. There was a noise and
then silence. She knew, just knew that he was looking out the peephole. She wiped all traces of
anger from her face and smiled.

"Yes?" he asked from behind the closed door.

Arohi maintained her smile. "Could I talk to you for a minute?"

Arjun- "I already apologized."

Arohi-"Well, yes, but I may have overreacted." Visualize the dining nook. It'll be worth it.

Arjun-"Don't worry about it."

Arohi-"Look, would you please just open the door?" Not a good start. "This is abt sth else."

The door swung open.Arohi's heart escaped a beat from what she saw. A wet-haired arjun stared at her, his face partially covered in shaving cream. One hand remained on the doorknob, the other casually,very casually one might say loosely holding the edges of a towel at his waist. Didn't this guy ever wear clothes?

She couldn't help noticing that those edges sure didn't overlap much. In fact, they overlapped
less now than when he'd first opened the door.She couldnt help staring at him.

Arohi-Ummh.. "I see I've come at a bad time."

He gave her a lazy half smile.

Arjun-"Is there ever a bad time?"

She tried to ignore him and his one-track mind.

Arohi- "Here's the thing." Her gaze dipped, marking the location of those towel edges. They were sliping as was her concentration,she had to talk fast.

Arohi-You know those decorator shows?The ones where neighbours decorate each others houses?"Single design?"

Arjun-No,never heard of them.

Arohi-Well, there is such a show n applied on it few months ago n now we have been selected in it "Together" she stressed the word togther.

Arjun-Together??? "WHY"??

Arohi-Thats coz we r neighbours.
