Chapter 2

"We are never late !" she said opening the door which caused him to trip. He rolled his eyes and took a glance at his best friend. And then, sparks flew, world stopped and stood for a while, their heart beats got racing and their eyes met ! NO, nothing like that happened ! Instead he glared at her and twisted his nose and gave a YUCK look to her !

"You took this long to dress up to look like this?"

"I hate you ! This is my new dress, I brought it from Paris ! And its designed by the best designer ever !" And then she hit him in his arms and hence, started their regular fights of kicks and pillows and so on.

No, they were not the kind of best friends to fall for each other. They were only best friends. No eye locks, no jealousy, no sparks, no heart beats racing ! They loved each other, in every possible way but as best friends. They were always together, but to have fun. They cared for each other but weren't possessive about each other. Yeah, Arjun Singhania and Arohi Aluwahlia were Not Lovers!

And as usual she was right! they were not late instead they were super-early,they were too excited about the first day that they forgot about the change in timings! that was actually a good thing,they at least get to start their first day of the last year with cappuccinos at CCD,arjun placed the order while arohi went to their usual center table,they had made it an habit to sit there since their first day at college, being attention lovers their whole gang loved sitting there and it was an unsaid rule that whoever sat there should vacate as soon as they see a member of the gang walking towards the cafe.hmm...their gang,had tia-vivek and naina-ishaan,both dating,only single person was arjun,oops how can i forget? arohi was engaged to rahul,Rahul Kashyap,the youngest business tycoon and the most eligible bachelor in india, who was head over heels in love with her. Well she also liked him,who cannot fall for the kashyap lad's charm.yea,he was a charmer and arohi was too proud of him,so much so that in the last six months of their courtship, it had become her favorite hobby to watch women getting jealous when his eyes were all for her.

All that aside,As they waited for their orders and their stupid friends to arrive,They began their normal chatter which started from the first hour they would be attending and went on till Arjun's dream girl and was going towards arohi's marriage, when that stupid michael had slipped and poured milkshake all over arohi, but seeing the smile on his face,it was evident that he did it on purpose,arjun stalked towards him,when he moved his hands towards arohi as if to wipe them,saying,"i'm sorry,it would be my pleasure to wipe it off you",arohi did not need arjun's muscles to teach him a lesson *slap* *slap*, whole cafe filled with the seniors and juniors who were through their admission process witnessed the way Arohi marked finger prints on either side of his cheek! do you think anyone would dare to come near her after that? just as michael tried to pounce on her,arjun came in between,"don't even think of it","if i see you around us another time,then that would be the last time you would ever be able to see anything on earth",michael just stared at arjun through narrowed eyes,they did not understand the meaning of his gaze back then,but now they did,it meant revenge,revenge that could shatter lives.

arjun pushed those thoughts away and increased the force with which he banged her room,"arohi open the door or i'll break it!" he warned her for the umpteenth time,but this time he was sure to break it,looking at the worried looks on the faces of their parents,he had refrained himself from doing it till then,he went back and came towards the door gathering all the force he could,that is exactly when she had to change her mind and open the door he thought as he went and fell on the foot of her bed. Even Amrit Alluwalia had to chuckle seeing the scene,Arohi ignored his "couldn't you open it a few seconds ago when i was shouting", and turned to see others,she looked considerably fresh to what she looked in the evening. "mom dad ,uncle and aunty, i'm completely alright! i was taking a shower thats why i did not open the door! you know he creates a scene for everything" she tried to be her usual put-every-blame-on-arjun self but she some how could not find that enthusiasm,she could not be blamed for it either,.the past few days have turned her life upside down,the arohi who considered herself the most lucky girl was not even sure if luck was written anywhere near her fate.

"good night" she said in general to all the four staring at her trying to read her thoughts,and closed her door. The moment she closed the doors she went right into arjun's arms, hugging him tight,"arjun..."
"shh..it'll be okay"
"no arjun,nothing is going to be okay,you did not hear them,those spiteful words came from the tongues of my supposedly best friends" she said with disgust in her voice,her face wet with tears,
"arohi,stop it,stop sulking over those losers. MY arohi is not this weak,she is the strongest girl i have ever known and she never cries,not even in my dreams" he tried to sound cheerful
she smiled at his attempts to make her smile,"at times,even the strong ones fail to cope with the pressure and stumble to land with a solution" she said burying her tear strained face into his chest,while he caressed her hair"you need not arohi,i'm here, i'll find a solution,that too real soon".

he was the only one who understood and stood by her throughout along with her parents,'a friend in need is a friend indeed' all the years seeing the thought on the class board everyday had annoyed her but the past few days have made her understand the true meaning of it.Arjun had been there with her through out,usually at times like this it would be the female friends who would form support system,but her friends were now too worried about the fact that if anyone comes to know that they were friends with arohi alluwalia then no one would ask for their hand in marriage. the thought by itself got the bitter tears out of her eyes. Marriage was an institution that was supposed to be built on the pillars of trust but the moment rahul looked at her with questioning eyes that night,she knew it was not right and marriage was not destined to happen between them,she broke the engagement the very second. But the cruel laid-back society could just talk of how the groom rejected the ties with his bride-to-be,it doesn't not matter what the reason was,but the marriage is broken so blame it all on the girl,it happened for a girl in every corner of the country she knew it, but she never imagined a day when she would face it all,that too 100 times the same intensity of what an ordinary girl would face,just because her fiance was one of the most powerful person in the country.

few days back she remembered being proud of being with him,but all she felt now was pain,pain of being rejected everywhere she goes because of him,the pain of being the one bearing the interrogative glances,she wanted to shout that 'she was NO CRIMINAL', she was a victim,victim to the worst revenge plan ever,at least to a girl who was getting married in a conservative society like this,she could not blame rahul for it either,may be it WAS her fault,for not being careful of what she does,her thoughts drifted back to that fateful day...

The candidates for the student senate were being announced,principal himself came and announced the nominees for the post of president of student council,or should i say nominee,yes,there was only one candidate and it was michael sharma! no one wanted him to be the president and every prospective candidate backed off considering the kind of treatment they would get from michael's gang, "we cannot let them spoil our final year like this!" she said furiously,as usual seated at their table at CCD,"yes..we have to do something.."his voice trailed off suggesting that he was thinking abt something,"what is it arjun?" asked ishaan,"one of us should stand for the election" said arjun,thoughtful.

arjun looked down at her,to see that she had cried herself to sleep hidden in his chest, how did he fail to protect her from such a harsh thing? he blamed himself for not being with her when she needed him the most.

after a lot of discussion it was decided that arohi will stand up for the president's post against danish,considering that she had clear academic and behavioral records and others would campaign for her,everything went on perfectly, Michael could not even come near arohi with Arjun around her all the time,he used to joke around that he had taken up the job of arohi's bodyguard temporarily,finally the D-day came and no prize for guessing that it was arohi who won the president post,the whole college had celebrated the day! But neither of them knew that a college election would mean so much to the opposing nominee! it was very late when they came to know that michael's father hariprasad sharma was a politician and he wanted his son to enter politics too,so he had considered the college election as the stepping stone for him into the world of power and the losing at the very first step was not something HP wanted from his son. Michael was hell bent on taking his revenge from the gang for stealing his post and also for the insult which he endured in front of his father's party members.he made up his mind to settle every insult he had suffered because of the alluwalia girl,and he will not delay on it,"she will realise it tonight,during the party celebrating her success,she will realise the mistake she has done by going against him,michael sharma!" he had promised himself.

one revenge,changes the life of so many?

i know i'm late as usual...anyways,by now you guys must know my reason pretty well, umm...please leave your comments and thoughts about this update...its very important for us to continue..

and guys...one personal help,i have this project for which we have to design a magazine especially about fashion!! can anyone tell me what sort of articles or things i should collect to be put in a fashion magazine?? please help me with it...i'm kind'a too desperate and i dont really have much time...please do help me.

oops...i was in a hurry and forgot the most important reason for being here!
