This Arohi reminds me of Thomas Hardy's Eustacia Vye...a girl who is in love with the idea of love..she is young, beautiful, strong but still quite immature at heart...as a teenager when she had come across Arjun a very handsome, accomplished charmer obviously she had felt immense attraction and had very hastily named it as love...Arjun on the ohther hand had always loved her where as when he had proposed her she accepted him more with the feeling of a trophy husband ...although in her mind she could never believe that a man like Arjun can actually be committed to her for life but still to her He was a dream come true...her first mistake...mixing up of the feeling of love and infatuation...she can't be completely blamed as that is a very common mistake we all have the propensity to make when we are young...
Later on she has also fallen a prey to the same insecurity when she urged him to make love to her...in her immature mind it was the only way to keep Arjun to herself...as a mature partner Arjun should have stopped her but he never questioned her love and or his committment so as a natural porgression of love they had gone for the next step...the experience however divine had an effect in the form of Aayan...destiny also played its part and she had to suffer immense pain in the form of Gauri and later on Natasha...but again her insecurity and immaturity came as the big hurdle...the way she believed things clearly showed that as if her mind was already waiting for such blow in their relationship...Arjun could never be a devoted lover according to her belief..which is very sad...but I dnt think she has yet to realise the rue meaning of love and that why she is suffering from this kind of insecurity...the trust that Arjun is yearning to see in her eyes is missing because someone who dsnt trust herself how can trust someone else...
It is not that she is not capable of loving...her love for Aayan is very strong and how she had given him birth against all odd showed what a caring and concerned mother she is...but that is a different kind of love...her emotions are genuine when it comes to aayan as Arjun himself had admitted it but I think she is yet to learn the true meaning of Love...a love that goes hand in hand with trust, mutual respect and understanding...but she is only 21 and I am sure she will very soon learn the true essence of the word with all its glory and meaning...
