She is Different
I'm sitting in front of my lappy and thinking what to write. I'm completely blank and I don't know what to write. I started writing my last take for the last epi of my favorite drama series. Tears started rolling down my cheeks at the thought of not being able to do this anymore not being able to write anymore not being able to give sarcastic comments or drool over some scenes. I don't know what is more painful coming to the end of a beautiful journey or not being able to be with my friends. I know the gupshup corners would be still be on but still we won't have anything to talk, the same topic you see. And to say the truth I was feeling very down.
Suddenly someone popped into my room and who could it be other than my sister Shefali.
"Di I know it's a very depressing for you right now but I can lighten up your mood you know today…." Shefali started saying but I cut her mid sentence.
"Oh how did this happen I mean my little sister who exactly thinks that she is very superior to talk to me is coming to lighten my mood?" I asked her.
"Oh come-on sis you know that I love you" she made a puppy dog face.
"Okay tell me what it is" I asked her in absolute no interest.
"Ahem ahem let me tell you this interesting news about…………" she started but I cut her off again.
"Wait if you want to talk about your big crush then I'm not interested cuz I have made it pretty clear last time that I don't like that guy" I stated.
"But sis he is just amazing believe me" she started again.
"Go tell your friends they will be beyond happy listen any news about him" I told her.
"But di" she said.
"Bugger off you idiot you are worsening my mood I hate that guy don't talk about him and get out right away" I ordered her.
"Okay miss ultimate madness" she put in while she was leaving.
Well we were not always like this I mean fighting. We were best of sister when we used to live in London just one year ago also but then we shifted to India and she fell for that guy what is his name oh yeah Arjun Singhania. I mean how could even someone like that jerk and for the fact she hasn't even met him in real life its pathetic. Oh yeah to top that he is a, oh no the best tellywood actor. Ugh and girls just drool over him although I have to admit he is a good actor but he is very rude. It's not like I have spoken to him but once I've been to Mumbai and I went to the sets of my fav. Serial and his set was right beside it and I accidentally went there and the way he was behaving as if he was the channel owner or the producer absolutely disgusting. And anybody would say that isn't that too fast to decide about some one's character. But I would say no not only that I've read many articles about him and also seen many interviews and would only say he is just too haughty. Well why the hell am I thinking about him? concentrate on the take and it was last day of my favorite serial so I should cry a little more not just waste my time on thinking about some idiot. I went back to my writing.
Shefali's POV: Down in the hall she is walking and thinking.
What does she think of herself I mean how can she hate him he is so perfect he is just indescribable. He can't be described by mere words. And my sister she is a 'know it all' kind of a person. Sadly she is just perfect too but only according to our father cuz she is the best student she is the perfect cook perfect daughter. It's not like I'm jealous of her I never minded her being praised until we moved to India and I started liking Arjun and she loathing. I mean how anybody could think she is perfect she doesn't even behave like a girl she is just emotionless I've barely seen her crying until today. And I have to say she is mad she was crying because a serial ended which was anyways absolute sh*t cuz it didn't had Arjun in it. And the amazing thing is she just never liked any serial but I don't know how she liked this one but whatever. To describe her one word would be perfect she is a Gemini that's why I call her mad she can like one thing this second and loath it the next. So it's confusing to be around her. She is yin and yang which has no possibility of meeting but it's in her. Once she is laughing like crazy the next she is all grumpy I mean seriously she is weird. She is curious, talkative, versatile and always mentally active she even thinks when she sleeps I guess. She is weird but I have to agree she has a razor sharp wit. Although she is just 21 but she is very knowledgeable just like some oldie. And the amazing thing is although she is sometimes fickle or anything doesn't holds her interest for long she has been very constant in liking that serial and very constant in disliking Arjun. So I would say Arjun must have some kind of charm that holds my sister's mind I mean come on she is Arohi Ahluwalia.
The door bell rang suddenly and the only thought that came in my mind was its jiju I guess I mean my would-be jiju. It's all set we have been family friends for years and we three have grown up together so it was like my brother turning into jiju. He is a very nice guy just perfect for my sister. And I'm sure he is here to soothe my sister cuz she still might be crying. They really love each other atleast jiju does I mean although di said yes when he proposed but whatever…….
I opened the door for him. He came in and gave me a little hug and said "shefu how are you?"
"Fine Jay I mean jij" I laughed.
"Hmm okay where Arohi is? Is she okay?" he asked quite worried.
"I'm fine" Sis said while descending the stairs.
"What are you doing here at this time I mean it's almost 11?" sis asked.
"My son-in-law can come in here in the middle of the night too" my dad said coming to us from the hall.
Then we all chatted for few more minutes and then dad left us and I also slipped away from there.
Arohi's POV:
"So were you worried? If you are then let me tell you I'm fine and I did cried a little but not that much so go home take rest and don't worry" I told him all in one breath.
"Yes sweets I was worried but now it looks like you are fine and it is a little weird to disturb you all in this time but since your phone was off so I thought you are very upset." He told me sincerely.
"Oh no you can come in here anytime no big deal but now I'm not in the mood of talking so just switched off my phone sorry." I said
"No sweets you don't have to apologize for that it's okay so I'm going good night" he said leaving.
"Bye good night and go home safely" I said.
"Arohi its round the corner" he said smiling.
Then he left. I went back to my room and switched on my phone and saw many missed you messages from company most of them gave the number of Jay but one two were from my friends so I decided to call them. I called Simi first and in 2 seconds she picked up the phone.
"Where have you been stupid?" she asked angry.
"You could have called shefu then you idiot" I told her.
"Anyways we have been assigned our projects it's more like internship you see cuz we have to work for 6-7 months." She told me
"Oh that's good where are we going?" I asked quite eager.
"Well I'm going to Kolkata and you Mumbai." She said.
"That's not very far from Pune I mean Kolkata too is not that far" I told her.
"It's okay you are going to work for some Vidyavati pictures upcoming project and I'm gonna work for a Bengali film" she told me.
"But you don't know a little bit of Bengali" I told her.
"Yeah I know but thank god it's a film you are gonna work for some serial and yeah since you topped in the last exam you are given the work of supervision I mean are they nuts a 21 year girl who is doing internship would be the supervisor" she said laughing.
"Oh yeah because I'm the best student in the whole world in the field media and entertainment" I told her seriously.
"Looks like these 7 months are gonna be fun" she said.
"Maybe or maybe this will change our life forever" I said mockingly.
"Hmm maybe we will meet our savior and he will rescue us from this unworthy world and take us to heaven" she said.
"Yeah maybe these 7 months will be the most memorable time of our life who knows?" I said.
After talking a little bit more I went to sleep. So only one week later I would be in Mumbai working on my project. Who knows maybe something will happen.
