Arjun gets up and says "Dad"

Rudra: Arjun, where were you from morning. You were not there for breakfast, lunch and now its dinner time

Arjun: Sorry dad forgot to inform you, i had gone to look for a house and job

Rudra: Really, you are taking my permission to leave house in jail seriously

Arjun: Surprised, Yes dad, i mean no dad. You only permitted me to leave the house right dad?(Looking confused)

Rudra remembering scene again.Rudra goes into flashback.

Arjun meets RPS in jail and saying "You always say know dad that my Arjun always does everything with passion from heart so i have decided to do something with all my heart and not go back no matter what problems i face. I have decided to do this for our family"

RPS looking at him questioningly and Arjun saying" i have decided to leave this world of crime, double cross etc and follow path of goodness and truth no matter what trouble i have. And i have come here to seek your blessing and permission which i know you will never refuse me. Please dad if you do not permit me to leave house i will never be at peace. I know last time i had asked you permission to leave the house but did not adhere to it, but this time i have made that decision and want to stick by it no matter what".

RPS seeing Arjun's eyes all eager and excited like a kid who has discovered something new and wants to share it first with the person he trusts most. He has never seen that kind of peace and happiness on Arjun's face for many years.He thinks let me not disappoint him and make him unhappy and then holds Arjun's both hands and says "Arjun if that is what pleases you, i have no objection but" and he pauses. Arjun says "i know what you want to say that be there in house till my return and i will do that. I will wait till you return dad. I will definitely stay in the house till you return".

Arjun: dad

RPS snaps back from his thoughts

Rudra: I thought you had just made that decision in an emotional moment

Arjun: No dad, i was pretty serious and put deep thought for many days before asking your permission

Rudra: I never really took that seriously Arjun.

Arjun keeps quiet

Rudra: "I do not want you to leave this house, business, family and"

Rudra thinks "most importantly me" but does not say it

Rudra: But i have permitted you once and will not go back on my promise.

Arjun: Thanks dad

Rudra: When are you leaving?

Arjun: Monday

Rudra: Monday

Rudra had seen tension in Arjun's face before he came and joined him on terrace and guessed he had not got any house or job.

Rudra: Arjun, i know you are leaving singhania mansion but you can stay in the other house.

Arjun: Thanks dad, but i will manage to get a house soon

Rudra: Yeah, i know Arjun. You are capable of looking after yourself from childhood but

Arjun interrupts: Not like that dad. I mean that house is far off and i plan to work in the other part of city and stay there

Rudra: OK, your choice

Arjun: Dad, Raj will be staying here for few weeks till i settle down. Can he stay dad?

Rudra: Of course, he can stay here. This is his house too since he's your son and my grandson.

Rudra places his hand on Arjun shoulder and turns to leave the place because he does not want Arjun to see the pain in his eyes of Arjun leaving him. He walks 4-5 steps.

Arjun: Dad

Rudra turns back

Arjun: Will miss you dad, take care. I am leaving the house not you or family. I will always be there for you.

And Arjun gets very emotional (flashback- when he came to house first time, playing cricket with RPS and siblings, river drafting with RPS, learning to drive car first time with RPS as a kid etc) and chokes.

Arjun hugs him and RPS initially hesitates to show any emotion but after a few seconds hugs him back.

RPS thinking: I know Arjun you are always there for me and our family but I have rarely been there for you.

After a few seconds Arjun controls himself.

Arjun: Dad Drinks on rocks, one last time

Rudra: Yeah, Yeah sure

Both start drinking.

Rudra: So what do you plan to do Arjun?

Arjun: Not thought yet dad, plan to take up a job

Rudra thinking: World is not as good as you think Arjun its very cruel. It never forgives or forgets.

And he starts thinking of his own youth of how he was also idealistic but one incident had made him into a bad person, a don. Actually he had got Arjun also in the house because of that one incident. Only he knew why he had adopted Arjun, no one else knew, not even Kumud or his mother. They all assumed that he had found an orphan boy and liked him and had hence adopted him and his friends. How wrong the world was in analyzing his actions? If only they knew the truth. Rudra had thought he would reveal the truth at the correct time. But that time never came. Or may be he did not want it to come.

Arjun has never seen Rudra so upset in his life and he understands Rudra is upset because he is leaving the house.

But Arjun thinks he should not breakdown now and go back on his promise he made to himself and for family

Arjun: Dad, dad

Rudra snaps out of his thoughts

Rudra: Yes Yes, Arjun

Arjun: What are you thinking dad?

Rudra: Nothing, nothing at all

Arjun thinking: I know you are thinking of me dad

Rudra keeps quiet.

Arjun: I know you are worried for me

Rudra thinking: Now that you are leaving us Arjun, be careful and take care. This world is very cruel and i know you can handle anything but still just want you to take care.

Arjun: Dad, do not worry dad. I will take care

Rudra: I am not worried for you, just worried about how world may treat you. I agree you have seen the bad side of world in childhood Arjun but when you are a kid, you see world very positively and with innocence. Hence even bad experiences do not really fill kids with fear, hatred for the world, people and they do not fear attempting to do something. But when you grow up your tolerance level is less and world is much more cruel towards adults.

Till today, neither your faults, nor your failures nothing mattered to the outside world because you were Arjun Singhania. But now when you go into the outside world and they discover you no longer stay or work with Singhania's the world will get a chance to misbehave with you, to treat you badly and with disrespect. You will face many failures and will want find your back to the wall many times. People will create situations to misbehave with you, treat you badly etc. Just take care.

Both keep quiet for sometime

Arjun: Dad, can i ask you what happened when you were young? You were saying in hospital to rashi and me that once you believed in hardwork, honesty and something happened which changed your prespective. What had happened dad?

Rudra goes into flashback mode and looks very upset

Arjun: holds his hand and says Dad

Rudra snaps out of his flashback

Arjun does not presist as his dad looks upset

The maid comes and calls them for dinner.
