The whole beauty of this story is that Aditya will help Kabir all the ways...... And Kabir will only want to destroy him......

While Kabir is smart and ambitious..... His kismat is fabulous..... He gets so far only because of his luck in having strong connections like his father and Aditya who support him in the background to succeed.....

Feel like reading Kane and Abel all over again......

Hi Sonal!

Yes thestory is very interesting.... and I too want to go and re-read the book. I don't remember the details.

You're right the story is all about the contrast in the two leads kismat.

Hey Shelly,

Always good to meet with you....one way or another..... Kane and Abel was one of the first books read by me (must have read thousands after that)..... But somehow, it still remains a favourite.... Let's compare notes and discuss the book whenever we manage to grab a copyand read it.....

Love the way they are treating this serial..... The ambience, acting, direction, costumes.... All are great....

Now the real fun begins!
up till now it was "kismat" who was trying to bring the two men face to face. Now they themselves will confront one other----ARM finding ways to do something for him while Kabir trying to show him down.

**spoiler alert**--- in the book this goes on, Kane helps Abel but Abel always tries to confront Kane until the very end when Abel actually comes to realize that Kane was actually the one who had helped him. But alas! it's too late to resolve the issues because Kane passes away.

Yes..... It is sad..... Let's see how YRF sticks to the original story or madifies it to suit Indian viewers.....

pretty sure they will modify it a bit to show some resolution..may be or else they would have easily said that the show was an indian version of Kane and abel. but all the actors and others keep denying it, so may be they will modify it.
kinda excited for the coming episodes now. hopefully they don't waste much time on Kabir's confused dad.😆 he bores me.lol

I find myself liking Aditya better.... I also find it more interesting when they show his life.... Strangely, it began as an equal, both Kabir and Adi..... But somewhere along the way.... Aditya is emerging the much better man......

I feel they are not developing Kabir's character as well..... He seems to succeed only because of his luck..... In the original story, Abel was a Jew, if I am not mistaken.... He was also very intelligent and street smart.... Somehow, they were equals in the book.....Here, I feel that Adi is definitely coming across better.....Kabir doesn't come across as capable....

Eg. That horse race win was ridiculous.... Nobody Can be that confident of a race outcome.....it was a silly gamble that paid off..... Even the plot he wants to buy for the hotel.... He gets cheap only because of the dhamki..... Ditto about getting Lubna..... His own capability does not come across.....

I have the same feeling. At present I am reading some other book. But have decided that once I am done with that I will re-read Kane and Abel...have practically forgotten it. it was my second JA book. the first one was 'not a penny more not a penny less' That too was a superb book. it was these two books that got me hooked on to JA...

Hi
Agree that each book writteb by JA is a masterpiece. 😊
I remember having read it the completely other way round I first read "Shall we tell the President" then I read "Prodigal Daughter" and then I read Kane and Abel.😆
While we are at it, I for one feel its not a copy of Kane and Abel. Sure the premise is the same, But I think this serial is lovely, and very very well researched in its own right.
IT has picked up some of the salient events post independence era in India and has multiple themes, including caste system, terrorism and its linkage with underworld and the India-Pakistan divide, thereby having a much bigger canvass than Kane and Abel.
