PART ELEVEN that night...
it was really late and aastha wasnt asleep... she was thinking about wat shubh had said. she blushed. suddenly her cell phone buzzed. she startled as no one calls her late at night. she is known to be an early nighter. she looked at the identity of the caller....it was shubh... she smiled.
she picked up the call.
aastha: kya hai???
shubh: bas neend nahi aa raha tha...aur muje laga tume bhi nahi aa rahi hogi
aastha: achcha... tume kaise pata??? main toh so rahi thi
shubh: bataaya tha na... jhoot math bolna
aastha: theek hai theek hai... ab phone rakho... muje sone do
shubh: nahi
aastha: kyu???
shubh: nahi rakhoonga...bas
aastha: rakh do na... kal bahut kaam hai
shubh: theek hai...ek sharth par
aastha: kya hai???
shubh: mujse abhi kaho ki u love me
aastha was shocked.
aastha: pagal ho gaye ho kya??? main nahi kahoongii
he was silent for sometime...
then suddenly shubh started singing... "dont u love me" from chura liya hai tumne

aastha: shubh...bahut raat ho chuki hai... main rakh rahi hoon... phir se aaj phone mat karna...okay? goodnight.
and she cut the call... she was grinning from ear to ear and so was shubh. it wouldnt take much time for her to be in his arms...

NEXT MORNING
at breakfast, teji and gayatri were having talks which the others heard.
teji: jaanti ho...prem aur heer ke shaadi ke mahurat bahut khaas hai... aise ek din sau saalom me ek hi baar aate hai... kehte hai as malaaye hi badal lo shaadi ho jaate hai
gayatri: achcha hua... humare bachcho ke pyaar aur mazboot ban jaayenge...
heer and prem looked at each other and grinned. under the table, prem caught heer's hand and squeezed it. heer glared at him and let go. preet and shubh sniggered at prem.
prem: kyu hans rahe ho tum dono???
preet: kuch nahi bhai...
shubh: lucky guy huh... saalom me khaas muhurat mili hai shaadi karne ko
prem grinned and tried to look smug about it as heer avoided looks from aastha and meher.
prem: itna jalan achchi nahi hai.. ek kaam karo...tum dono bhi kisi ladki ko dhoond lo aur shaadi kar lo usi din...
ash nudged preet when prem said that. preet looked at her expression and made a puking gesture.
preet: shaadi??? no wayyy
shubh winked at aastha.
heer: prem, kripa ne muje phone kiya tha aaj subah
prem: haan...main poochne hi waala tha...angad aur kripa aa rahe hai na shaadi me???
heer shook her head sadly.
heer: kya hai ki...naina aunty, angad ki maa un dono ke rishte se naraaz hai... angad se reh nahi gaya aur dono ne kal register marriage kar li. woh nainital jaa rahe hai aaj... shaayad hi humari shaadi me shaamil ho payenge.
prem: at least dono khush hai...
heer: woh toh hai
they dint get much time for romance for the day and the next day too. the mehendi function was solely for ladies and prem missed heer sorely. preet tried to sympathize his brother...but dint work. he was just grimacing the work load put on his head.

THE SANGEET DAY
guests all hav arrived and the hall was filled. evryone was happily chatting... preet was talking to a guy he had just seen come in. shubh caught up with the two guys. preet looked at shubh.
preet: shubh...inse milo...mera bachpan ka dosth, lakshya.
shubh and lakshya looked at each other for one whole minute with mouths wide open and then hugged with a loud laugh.
shubh: lakshya, tum...???
lakshya: tum yaha kaise shubh???
preet: hold on... tum dono ek doosre ko jaante ho???
shubh: haan... humne MBA saath me ki di...
lakshya nodded...
the three guys shared a cute moment of get together.
prem and heer were brought down and seated at two ends. heer was in a brown and gold choli and prem in cream sherwani. aastha and meher ran upto heer and asked her to sing. she refused and whispered something in aastha's ears. aastha's face split into a grin.
she walked upto prem and told him to sing.
he shook his head too...
aastha: ye achchi baat nahi hai bhaiyya... aapko gaana hi padega... hum aapse gavayenge
she then walked off to preet and shubh. meher joined her and they planned to do something. suddenly all the lights dimmed and the dance floor shimmered with little lights.
meher and aastha started off with the humming along with a couple of other girls.

chal pyaar karegi aastha played along... she wasnt too embarassed now. the way he looked, she was sure he loved her... and she was happy...she smiled at him too.

teji: sach me... lagte hai ke ek duje ke liye hi bane hai
gayatri: kyu na hum prem aur heer ke shaadi ke baad dono ki baat chalate hai
teji: manzoor hai gayatri... dono bahut pyaar karte hai ek doosre se...
gayatri nodded and smiled.
prem took the lead now... he went to heer and held her hands and romantically looked into her eyes. {prem's part in blue and heer's in magenta}

prem left the joke aside now...he caught heer by the shoulder and looked into her eyes...

zulfo ke baadal le jaayenge... prem was lost in her eyes... he dint contine... shubh continued for him

doli me bitaakar le jaayenge prem picked up heer in his arms and shubh did the same to aastha. the guests all applauded the couples. truely heaven-made. teji wiped tears of joy.
lakshya was eyeing shubh and aastha with a look of foreboding. he had known preet and aastha since childhood and shubh since last 4 years. aastha looked so happy with shubh. he cornered shubh the next second he got him alone.
lakshya: chakkar kya hai shubh???
shubh who was wiping his prespiration froze and looked at lakshya amused. he noticed lakshya's glances go till aastha and back. shubh just shrugged.
lakshya: main tumhe achchi tarah se jaanta hoon... muje bataao... bataao ki tum aastha ke saath wahi khel nahi khel rahe ho jo tum har kisi ladki ke saath khelte aaye ho
shubh put a hand on lakshya's shoulder.
shubh: you know lakshya... muje commitment achcha nahi lagta...
lakshya: dekho use... maine use itni khush kabhi nahi dekha... she is undoubtedly in love with you...
shubh: kya karu boss... har ladki mujpe fida hai
lakshya: tumhe ye mazaak hai... tum aastha ko nahi jaante
shubh: i know her all right... goodlooking, sweet, caring, understanding...
lakshya's mouth gaped at shubh mouth wide open.
shubh all confused: kya???
lakshya: kuch nahi mere bhai... aastha apni jaadoo kar rahi hai
shubh: kis pe???
lakshya: tum pe...
lakshya started laughing like a maniac. shubh got irritated and raised his hand to whack him.
lakshya: hold it...
shubh: seede seede bata baat kya hai...warna...
lakshya: socho... jab bhi tum kisi ladki ko milte ho, the only words of description i hear is HOT and SEXY... aur tumne aastha ke baare me jo kaha... muje lagta hai janaab ko pyaar ho raha hai... AT LAST!!!!!
shubh was thoughtful. he thought over it again and again... IS IT??? he shook his head...NO WAY...
shubh: chup ho ja... muje koi pyaar vyaar nahi hua hai, samje??? ab chal khaana kha le...
lakshya grinned... shubh did look confused.. and its the start... hats off to aastha...
