PART ONE

the eve of the marriage house... the to-be-bride was already brought down for the function of the night. it was the mehndi ceremony. the bride was mehndi works put on her hands by her to-be mother-in-law...this function was for her near and dear ones to spend some time with her befor she goes off to her new home...

the bride's friends and relatives were all running around entertaining others and having fun themselves...

somebody asked in between..."shaadi ka ghar hai....koi naach gaana nahi hai kya???"

"haan...heer kaha hai???"

"bas sau saal jiye.... ye lo wo aa gayii...!!!!"

two girls appeared in richly worked lehengas. one was in deep blue and gold works whereas the other was in light orange and silver works. both looked like brides themselves and their beauty was praised by many.... a lot of middle aged women were talking about how well they would suit their sons...

they soon broke out into a song...

1 of the middle aged women asked the bride's mother..."is me se mann

saab ke beti kaun hai???"

"heer??? woh blue waali...kinni soni hai na/???"

"bahut!!! woh dusri ladki??"

"woh...woh toh meri beti soni aur heer ki bahut achchi dosth hai...kripa"

soni {the bride intervined...she had been hearing their conversation}: aunty jee....aap agar kripa ke baare me soch rahe hai toh woh baat chodiye...unke peeche ek rockstar hain...

gayatri smiled: nahi me...heer ke baare me soch rahi thi...

soni: haan woh free hai... pata nahi....bahut chulbuli hai... usko pyar hona bahut mushkil baat hai...

gayatri: me apne bete ke liye uski baat chalathi hoon... heer ki maa yaha shamil hai kya???

soni: haan toh... teji aunty se me bahut close hoon... me aapko milwati hoon...

soni took gayatri to a lady who was in a cream sari. she was talking to some of her friends..."teji aunty...aap inse miliye...ye hai gayatri juneja..."

teji looked around in a great surprise. gayatri had a pleasant surprise too...

"teji???"

"gayatri??"

the next second both ladies had hugged. they even had tears of happiness in their eyes.

gayatri: kitni saal ho gayi...ek baar bhi phone nahi ki...

teji: maine kitni baar koshish ki tumse baat karne ki... tumne jo numer diya tha wo lag hi nahi raha tha...

gayatri: woh sab baat chodo.. kitni saalo baad mil rahi hai.. kab aayi america se wapas???

teji: bas cheh mahine hi hue hai... heer chahti dhi ki wo music seekhe toh hum bhi aaye uske saath. akele chodne ka man nahi kiya...

gayatri: toh tum log yaha shift ho gaye kya???

teji: nahi....me bas heer ke saath ek ghar me reh rahi hoon paying guest banke... usko hostel me rakhne ke liye hi toh wait kar rahi hoon... uska aadat nahi hai na... kripa keh rahi dhi ki heer ko uske ghar me rakhenge... shayad wohi karenge...uske baad me wapas america jaaungi...

gayatri: toh aisi baat hai... aisa kyun nahi karte ki heer ko mere saath chod de...

teji: gayatri...isse achchi baat toh ho hi nahi sakti...

gayatri: tumhari panchvi bachche ka naam kya hai???

teji: panchvi????

gayatri: balraj bhaisaab bahut hi romantic hai na???

teji: abhi bhi mazaak waise hi karti ho!!! meri ek aur beti hai... meher... heer se paanch saal choti hai...prem beta kaisa hai??? aur preet beta???

gayatri: dono hi theek hai... prem ke baat kehne se yaad aaya

teji: kya???

gayatri: pata hai soni kyu le aayi dhi muje tumhari paas???

teji confused: kyoun???

gayatri smiled widely: prem ka rishta chalane...

teji eyes started twinkling: tumari matlab heer aur prem ki???

gayatri: abhi bhi mere dil ki baat saaf padh leti hai... u r defenitely my best friend...

teji had tears of happiness again: muje toh isse zyada khushi aur kisi baat se nahi hogi... me aaj hi balraaj se baat karungi...

gayatri: tum dono kal hi aa jana ghar...wahi reh lena...kyu kisi ghair ke ghar me reh rahi hai jab apne paas ho toh...

teji: theek hi kaha...

just then a panting heer came and stood next to her mother. she noticed gayatri and she touched her feet and took blessings from her.
"namaste aunty jee"

"jeeti reh beti"

teji to heer: pata hai ye kaun hai??? mere sabse purani aur sabse achchi dosth gayatri juneja...unke yaha business hai... bahut saalo se baat nahi ho paayi... aaj mili hai... bahut achcha lag raha hai

heer: yadi woh gayatri aunty toh nahi jiske baare me aap roz kehti dhi???

teji: wahi toh

heer to gayatri: bahut suni hai aapke baare me aunty... prem aur preet kaise hai???

gayatri: achchi hai... me tumari maa se keh rahi dhi ki tum dono hamare ghar me hi raho...kisi aur ke ghar me rehne ki kya zaroorat hai...

heer: theek kaha aapne aunty... agar aap logo ko koi thaqleef na ho toh...

teji: taqleef toh hogi hi...tume jo rakhni hai waha... bahut badmash hai...meher bhi.... dono kitne badmashi karte hai... school se daily complaints aate the...

gayatri laughed... befor heer could say something back kripa called her and she went.

gayatri: bahut pyaari hai...prem toh bilkul sharmila hai...maine bahut intezaar ki woh muje aake batayega ki use pyaar hua hai...par bilkul apne personality keep u karta hai...kaam achcha lagta hai...bahut successful raha hai... preet bilkul opposite hai...kaam ka naam sunte hi bhaag jaata hai...bilkul apne baap pe gaya hai...khair chodo... heer america me badi hui hai... shaadi toh apne hisaab se karna chahegi na???

teji shook her head: america me badhi hui hai par hindustaani hai.. woh wahi karti hai jo hum kehte hai... aur kuch karna jaanti hi nahi...

gayatri: toh baat pakki kar de???

teji: mere taraf se kab ka pakka ho chuki hai!!!

both ladies hugged each other and left for the night.

wow soj.....tht was soo cool...first i thot it was heer's wedding....but i liked....yu did the other way huh....heer from america instead of prem huh......hmmm.....achchi hai.....i loved it......i wanna know premeer meeting very badly yaaar.....lols...cont asap....hehe....
