Since, I never really watched KDMHMD, there are certain aspects to the story that I am clueless about...especially the story of characters other than Meet, and i just realized that screwed up certain aspects after I had written this piece. So we will have to assume certain things- Premeer married like a few years prior to Meet and had a baby named Chahat.
Na Seekha Jeena Tera Bina Humdum
"Meher kal humaari shaaadi ko poora ek saal ho jayega", he whispers tracing her picture lying on his desk, with his finger
"Kabhi socha bhi nahi tha maine ke tum meri humsafar banogi..shayad vo uparwala mujh pe bohot meherbaan hoga jo usne tumhe mere liye bheja..." he smiles.. "But kya faayda, yeh sab main tumhe bata phi nahi sakta...Kyunki tum Harman bhai se...". He stops midway as the reality of their relationship hits him.

"Pata nahi usse yaad hoga bhi ke nahi..mera pagal pati...kuchh phi karta hai".., the thought of him makes her smile as she tosses the vegetables in the wok...
"Jab se who mere zindagi mein aaya hai...life jaise badal is gayi hai...khubsoorat lagne lagi hai...uski woh cute is smile ...vo naughty eyes...uff kisi ko pyar kaise na ho..itna perfect jo hai...aur uski kismat dekho...mere saath atak gayi hai..."

"Preet..preet.." Prem barges into Meet's bedroom..
"Kya hua bhaiya"
"Aish ne Chahat ko kidnap kar liya hai...she just called...vo factory mein hai"
"What?...let's go...", he glances at Meher, sleeping peacefully on her side of the bed. Deciding not to worry her, he leaves

"Aa gaye tum dono", Aish says with a wicked smile plastered on her face
"Chahat kaha hai, Aish", Preet says
"Preet...itni jaldi kya hai...pehle thoda haal chaal toh jaan le...how have you been?"
"What the hell do you want, Aish?..Tumne meri Chahat ko kyun kidnap kiya", intervenes Prem
"Uffo Prem, mujhe apne ex se do minute baat toh karne do...vaise kamaal hain ...dono bhai hi mere exes ho!"
"Aish, I am sure tumne humein yaha tumhaari love stories discuss karne ke liye nahi bulaya hai...get to the point!"
"Of course Preet, woh love stories mein tha hi kya jo discuss kiya jaaye...par haan unki ending ne jitna mujhe dard diya hai...main chahti hun tum dono ko bhi uss feeling ka ahsaas dilaun...kisi apne ko khone ka gham..."
Saying so she draws the curtains behind her, unveiling a glass room with Chahat tied on a Chair
"Chahat..", both of them rush towards her only to realize that there is a bomb planted on her chair
"Papa", says Chahat sobbing
"Beta...papa aa gaye haina...ab rona band karo"
"What is going on Aish...yeh sab kya hai" , asks Preet angrily
"Mera badla...main chahti toh isse kab ka maar deti...but I want you guys to see her die"
"What nonsense Aish...tumhe humse problem haina...phir meri masoom si bachi ko kyun torture kar rahi ho...she hasn't done anything wrong!"
"Achha Prem puttar...jab Aish ko tum dono ne chhoda tab ki woh bhi kisi ki masoom beti hai...kya usse tum dono se pyar karne ki sazaa di tum logo ne..."
"Daljeet chachi...aap jaanti hai hum majboor", said Preet
"Majboor my foot...bohot Hero banne ka shaunk haina...kabhi bauji ki izzat bachane ke liye...kabhi bhai ko bachpan ka pyar se milwane ke liye...toh aaj bacha lo apni pyari bhatiji ko bhi..chal Aish"
"No...Aish, you cannot leave..."
"Preet...mujhpe apna time waste karne se better hai ...bomb diffuse karne ki koshish karo...uspe timer laga hua ...jo exactly aadhe ghante mein..."

"I love you too, Preet", saying so she leaves
"Papaaa...bachao", cries Chahat. Prem rushes to her.
"M-main kya karun...Preet humein isse diffuse...ismein itni saari wires hai...meri beti ...Preet...Heer..I dunno...", stammers Prem
Preet kneels down beside him... Placing a hand on his shoulder he says, "Bhaiya, Chahat ko kuchh nahi hoga...", Inspecting the wires he comes up with a plan
"Bhai, aap bas mujhpe trust kijiye...aur jo main kehta hun waisa kijiye"
"Ok"
"Chahat beta...aap bilkul mat daro...Preet Chachu sab theek kar denge oka...ab main jaisa kehta hun...aap bas waisa karo"
He smiles as Chahat nods at him
"Beta, aap apne right leg ko left leg par rakho...no no aise nahi...umm jaise Maya chachi sit karte hai"
A scared Chahat tries to recall the way Maya sits and imitates her
"Haha...Good girl...", Preet goes near her and places himself in the vacant space on the chair and lifts her
"Bhai..isse pakadiye"
"H-haan, a crying Prem lifts her .Chahat..meri beti..." he says showering kisses all over her face as Chahat holds him tightly
He places her down and says, "Chahat beta, yeh lo keys.. Aap jaake car mein baitho...hum bas aa rahe hai...and lock the car ok?..."
Nodding Chahat rushes out... he turns to Preet and says - "Maan gaye Preet...kya idea tha Preet..achha yeh bata aage kya karna hai...konsi wire kaatni hai...kuchh sharp chahiye hoga na kaatne ke liye..."
"Uski zarurat nahi hai bhai"
"Achha, toh phir kya karna hai", he looks at Preet in anticipation
"Kuchh nahi karna bhai"
"What do you mean...bomb toh..." he stops midway as he realizes what Preet had done...Flabbergasted he continues "I- I thought you had a plan...What have you done Preet"
"PB, there was no other option...anyways ab bas 25 minutes bache hai..aap Chahat ko lekar yaha se niklo.."
"Niklo matlab...tujhe lagta hai main tujhe yaha chod ke chala jaunga"
"Bhaiya please...ek baar pehle bhi main aapko aapke parivar se alag kar chuka hua...let me redeem myself ...Heer bhabhi ko aapki zarurat hai..."
"Achha..aur Meher ka kya...main usse kya kahunga"
"Kuchh nahi", says a voice behind him...
Both are astonished to see Meher standing at the entrance

"Haan, Heer di se pata chala...toh main yaha chali aayi...Jiju Chahat bohot dari hui hai aap please usse lekar jaiye"
"Are you guys crazy...Main apne bhai ko chod ke nahi jaunga"
"I need sometime with him jiju...Please..."
"Lekin..
"I might not get a chance"
Not knowing what to do...Prem hugged Preet and left.
"Meher...why the hell are you here?"
"Preet I"
"No Meher...I don't wanna talk...sirf 20 minute bache hai...you just leave"
"Preet"
"I don't wanna listen...just go"
"I am not going anywhere", she said flatly
"Meher bakwas band karo...jao main kaha"
"I am not leaving"
"Achhha PB...Prem bhaiya", he shouts
"Prem jiju can't hear you Preet"
"Meher just shutup...I am telling you leave..warna", he yells
"Warna kya?"
"Warna main...", Realizing he cannot even move..he eyes her angrily as she breaks into a smile...
"Meher it's not funny..." , he continues with a mellowed down voice... "Meher..try and understand..Tum young ho...tumhari poori life padi hai abhi...please don't do this...go live your life"
"I can't"
"Why?"
"Because, you're my life", she says

"Meher, yeh tum..."
Smiling she continues..."Kya timing haina humaari Preet..Itna kuchh kehna hai tumse...par...khair ab jo hai so hai...so let's cut short and come straight to point..." she says coming towards him
"Meher, please don't..."
"Shhh", she says placing a finger on his lips as she kneels in front of him.."Aaj humaare beech mein koi nahi aayega...tum bhi nahi...So, Mr.Juenja I know we do not have our whole lives ahead of us...in fact we practically have nothing to look forward to...maybe an after life that too if you manage to get entry into the paradise", she winks ..."but yet I cannot die without let you know that I love you Preet..."

"Meher...I", he looks away trying to hide his tears "Go Meher...tumhe meri kasam"
"Ye kasam toh invalid ho gayi Mr.Juneja...kyunki aaj se theek ek saal pehle main tumse saath jeene aur marne ki kasam khaayi thi...", Cupping his face in her hands she makes him look at her, "Happy Anniversary Patidev"

Unable to control himself he pulls himself and tightly embraces her...Hiding his face in her hair as she hugs him back with the same amount of passion... "I love you Meher..."...Hearing him say those words she finally vents herself...Letting her tears fall freely as she buries himself in the crook of his neck
Breaking away he takes her face in his hands and wipes her tears..."So Mrs Juneja, Will you be marry in our next life?"
"No", she says naughtily as he wraps his arms around her again and covers her mouth with his
