Preet look backed at the woman and he found that it was Meher who gave him the juice. Preet did not know how much time he spent on staring at her. However, he came back from his la la land after hearing Meher's conversation with DJ.
"Chachi wo Ash facial kar rahi hein, iss liye mein ayi Preet ko juice dene ke liye." Meher explained to her aunt.
DJ felt angry inside, she was hoping that, her daughter Ash would spend some time with Preet but now Preet would spend time with Meher.
She did not trust Meher. According to DJ Meher could trap Preet and thus destroy DJ's hope of getting a rich in laws for her daughter.
She also did not miss that, Meher was addressing Preet as tum not aap, she could also see how Preet and Meher were comfortable around each other.
"Meri to kismat hi futi hein, har bar koi na koi aa jate hein, meri plan bigarne ke liyr." Dj cursed under her breath.
"Chachi ji aapne kutch kaha?" Meher curiously asked her aunt.
"Nahi puttar, mein tujhe kutch nahi keh raha hu, mein to khud se baat kar rahi hu, khayr rasoi mein bahut kam pada hein,mujhe aab jani chaiye." DJ left the place while continuously cursing Meher under her breath.
"Meher, tum to aaj mere liye mere savior ban ke aaye, kasam se agar mein Dj mami ki baat kutch der aur sunti to behos ho jata." Preer told Meher.
Meher could not help herself from laughing after hearing that from Preet.
Preet thought his heart skipped a beat when he saw her beautiful smile. Preet could see innocence and cutness in her smile. He also looked at her dress, according to Preet Meher was looking extra beautiful in her green salwar kamiz and dupatta.
At the same time Meher realized that, Preet was looking at her closely, she suddenly felt her face was getting red as she was blushing after seeing intense glaze of Preet. Meher also noticed that, Preet was looking very handsome and fit today. Meher could not help herself from praising Preet's toned body.
"Preet, Daljeet aunt itne bhi bure nahi hein, par tum lucky ho ki iss waqt Ash aapni facial karne mein busy hein. Warna tumhe usko kab tak jhel na padta kaun jane." Meher told Preet.
"Ash ki problem hein ki wo agar kisi chease pe bolna shuru kiya na to uske saat jo rehata hein usko ekdam paka deta hein. Iss liye mein usse dur rehene ki koshish kar rahi ho." Preet told Meher.
"Accha tumhe Ash ki company pasand nahi, kahi aisa to nahi ki tumhe meri bhi company bhi pasand nahi." Meher said to Preet.
"Meher, mere liye tum aur Ash kabhi ek nahi ho, aur mujhe tumhare company acche nahi bahut acche lagte hein." Preet remarked.
Meher suddenly felt butterflies in her stomach. She also felt her ego got a boost after hearing that, Preet prefer her to Ash.
Meher could not explain it but it seemed like nowadays she did not like Ash around Preet. She did not understand why she was feeling that way. Being possessive was not in her DNA.
" Accha tum jaldi se aap ne room mein jake fresh ho jao fir dining room pe ana mujhe lagta hein Heer didi and Prem jiju jaldi ayenge uha par." Meher told Preet in order to change topic.
Preet could feel Meher was blushing after hearing his praise for her and he was guessing that, Meher was trying to change the topic.
Nevertheless, Preet felt he needed to take a bath after doing his morning exercise. Therefore, he nodded his head and left for his room.
While Meher stood there and started to think about her strange feelings for Preet.
Both Prem and Heer came to dining room after getting dressed. It seemed like everyone already completed their breakfast but they still found that everyone from their family was present there.
Prem, Heer came forward and one by one they took blessings from Lalit, Gayetri, Balraj, Teji and even Balwant and Daljeet.
"Jeete raho meri bacchi, sadha suhagan rah" . Gayetri blessed them.
"Jite raho beta. Beta tum aur Heer kutch khake jao, bukh lagi hogi na tum dono ko. " Teji told them to take breakfast in their home.
"Nahi Maa, hum aur Heer ji koi hotel mein rukh ke naste kar lenge. Agar hum yaha roke to hume bahut der ho jayegi." Prem told Teji.
"Thick hein beta, jaisi tum dono ki marji." Teji told them.
"Parjayi ji wo sab to thick hein, lekin mein soach rahi thi ki aaj hamari Heer ki shadi shuda zindegi ki paheli din hein, aaj to usse rishte mein bade har kisi ka pair chuke aashirwad leni chayiye." Daljeet remarked.
"Daljeet tu kya andhe ho gayi. Tujhe dekhy nahi diya ki thodI der pahele Heer bahu ne sari bado ka aashirwad liya hein, uske baad bhi tu aise baat kar rahi hein." Lalit blasted Daljeet for troubling his daughter in law. Lalit also remembered how DJ was rude to Heer during yesterday's post wedding rituals.
"Woh woh Lalit pajji aab to kahmaka muj se gussa kar rahi hein. Mein ye baat se to ye inkar nahi kiya ki Heer ne hum sab logo ki ashirwad nahi liya. Mein to ye keh rahi hu ki Heer ne usse rishte mein bade sabhi se aashirwad nahi liya hein, ek insan abhi bhi baki hein jis ki pair chuke Heer ne aashirwad nahi liya hein." Daljeet commented.
" Tu kiski baat kar rahi hein? " Gayetri asked her in an irritated voice.
"Gayetri Parjayi ji. Mein Prem ki baat kar rahi hu. Dekhiye hamare hisab se ek pati apne patni se rishto mein bade hote hein. Ye yaha ki ussol hein ki patni apni pati ka pair chuke uski aashirwad leke apnI shadishuda zindegi ki sharuat kare.
Ha mana hamari Prem beta Heer se umar mein do sal ke chote hein. Lekin aap sab log ye bhul rahe ki wo Heer ki pati hein aur iski wajah se wo rushto mein Heer se bade hein.
Heer tu to badi rasam ko manne ki baat karti hein, tu ye baat kaise bhul gayi. Mujhe to shaq hein kaal suhag raat mein bhi tune apni pati ka pair nahi chue honge.
Aur Prem beta mein janti hu ki tumhari man mein abhi bhi ye baat hein ki Heer tumse umar mein bade hein. Shayed iss liye tum Heer ki tumhare payer chune ki ummed nahi kar rahe ho. Lekin Prem beta tumhe ye baat samaj ne honge ki tum Heer ki pati ho aur usse rishte mein bade ho. Heer jake aapni pati ka pair chu, aur uski aashirwad lo" Daljeet told Heer.
Daljeet was expecting to create an awkward situation for Heer. Daljeet was thinking that Heer would feel uneasy about touching feet of a person who was younger than she was.
" Daljeet ye sab..." Lalit was trying to say Daljeet stopped him.
" Lalit pajji mana hein aab pichle koi saalo se Canada mein rahete hein. Lekin kya aap ye baat bhul gayi ki aap ki wajood iss mitti se. Mujhe umeed hein Lalit paaji aap iss gaon ki rasom rewaj ko samman karenge.
Balraj paaji aab aap hi aapne jigri dost ko samajahiye ye baat. Balraj paaji kya aap ke liye iss area ka rasmo rewaj ka koi mol nahi hein, kya aap ko nahi lagta ki Heer ko samman deni chaihiye uski pati ko. Aarhe ek shadishuda aurat ke liye to pati pati hoti hein to kya hua ki pati umar thodi si lam hein." Daljeet again commented.
Heer knew how sudden traditions are still practiced in her area. She might be an well educated lady but she also did not want to give impression to everyone that, she did not respect traditions. She could see the way Daljeet was trying to embarrass her father.
Heer decided that, she would touch Prem's feet. She did not want to create a scene here. Besides that, she also did not want to give Prem a wrong impression that, she did not respect him properly as her husband due to his young age.
Heer came closer to Prem and bends in front of him and moved her hands to touch Prem's feet.
Prem on the other hand was watching the whole thing silently. He could sense that, Daljeet was trying to create a scene by her rants. Prem was silent because his elders were still present in that room.
He was slightly surprised when no elders confronted DJ's talking point. Suddenly he noticed that, Heer came close to him and he was shocked when he saw Heer was bending in front of him and moving her hands to touch his feet.
Prem had enough and decided to intervene. Prem caught Heer hand before she could touch his feet.
Heer was shocked when she saw Prem caught her hands mid way.
"Ye aab kya karne chali thi Heer ji?" Prem asked Heer.
"Mein aap ki payyar chune wali thi." Heer replied in a slow voice.
"Kyun?" Prem again asked Heer.
" Kyun ki aap meri pati hein, mujhe aap ko samman karne chahiye. Kaal raat mein bahut stressed thi iss liye ye kar nahi payi." Heer again replied.
"To aab kaal raat bhul gayi thi aur aab uss bhul ko sudhara chahati hein. Thick hein mein aap ko mere pair chune ki sehmati de sakta hu, lekin ek condition par" Prem told Heer.
"Kaunsi condition?" Heer asked Prem in a curiousvoice.
"Mere condition ye hein ki aap bhi mujhe aap ki pair chune ki sehmati denge." Prem told Heer condition.
Everyone got shocked after hearing that.
"Ye nahi ho sakti Prem Ji"Heer told Prem.
" Kyun nahi ho sakta?" Prem again asked her.
"Kyunki tum uski pati ho Prem beta. Pati aap ne patni ki pair nahi chu te. Ye parampara ki khilaf hein." Daljeet commented.
"Daljeet mami, mein Heer ji ki pati hu, iska matlab ye nahi hi ki mein Heer ji ko apne se chote samjonga. Mere liye pati patni ka rishta ek equal partnership hein jis mein do insan ek dusre ko samman kare, ek dusre ki bhabna ko samjhe, ek dusre ki soach ko jane, ek dusre ko apnay.
Aapne parampara ki baat ki hein, thick hein agar aap ko parampara ko manni hein to khud maniye lekin apni soach ko dusre ko upar thap ne ki koshish maat kariye. Mami ji parampara bhi waqt ke saat badal te hein, kyunki waqt ke saat saat insan ki najariya badal jate hein.
Zamana badal raha hein mami ji, ye 21 st century hein, ye waqt hein ki har insan ko ek najariya se dekkne ki, ye waqt hein ki hum patni ko pahele ek insan ki najariya se dekhe aur unko khud se inferior soach na band kare.
Hum patnio ko apni patio ka ardhangini kehete hein lekin hum log ye bhul jate hein ki har ek pati bhi apni patni ki ardhang hote hein.
Mujhe apni patni mein ek partner chahiye koi subordinate nahi. Aur mujhe nahi lagta ki patnio ka apni patio ko samman dene ke liye unki pair chune ki jarurat hein.
Agar Heer ji mujhe apni barbar ki insan samaj thi hein to wo mera liye kafhi hein ek pati hone ke nate. Mein bhi unse wada karti hu ki unko khud se kam kabhi nahi samjoonga.
Daljeet mami shadi ka rishta ek aisa rishta hote hein jis mein kisi tisra insan ka koi haq nahi hote ki aapni soach uss couple mein dhal ne ki koshish kare.
Aur mami ji akhiri baat, mein ye sab iss liye nahi keh raha kyunki Heer ji mujh se umar mein badi hein, agar mera biwi mujh se umar mein choti bhi hoti na tab bhi hum ye baat karte"Prem told them in a polite yet determined tone.
Everyone was shocked after hearing Prem's opinion. Heer was looking at Prem in a new way. Suddenly she felt herself very lucky because she had a husband like Prem who had such progressive worldview. She liked the way Prem spoke about whole issue.
She had begun to wonder how a person could be so perfect. She begun to think that, her marriage with Prem might be a blessing in disguise.
