Shifting kis desh to 2:30 was a death sentence for the show which was based on love story of two young lovers.

I'm really disappointed by the fact that they killed Preet... ok Sushant was in PR but there were so many others possibilities! Preet & Meher were parallel leads... but they were leads naa so they deserved a better track definitely!

Well they all thought that killing the character was a better option ugggh! 😡 But maybe at that time Sushant wasn't much that available to handle 2 shows at the same time... in PR he was lead and in Desh also so maybe it was complicated...

I don't think Sushant had problems with that.

Actors are used to hard life style and SSR wouldn't hv said no to ek - she gave him chance in two shows.

What happened we dunno for sure however this killings off character is to get tears from women audience who are the majority of viewers.

It's done in movies as well in tv it's to stir up the maximum effect on women - who generally get connected to scenes such as these. Useless and highly uncreative way to move a story or direction of a show.

preet wuld have come back with different face if show survived long. h defo will be back for meher esp after veer turned negative.

Yes TRP was not the reason for show getting off air - it's the constant bickering btw ek and SP.
SP deliberately pulled off scenes of Premeer which would gain TRP such the the Haldi scene aired post leap was shown on SBS and star plus didn't show in order of episode.

Also Premeer Date is long which was cut off - it was shot extensively which we saw in SBS.

Many times these things happened through out the show but these episodes were big.
Actors were capable and team was willing even if ek was not that interested - Kis Desh Team members were attached closely Additi mentioned in FB after show has ended - how difficult it was to say goodbye to light men and techinicians behind scenes who worked on this project for two years.

but i dont think sushant will do preet again in that case. he might not hav a problem.. but channel, ph and audience will have problem. infact i was surprised that ssr continued to do preet even after pr started and became hit. that is because of his attachment to the show and ekta ph factor.

well the thing is, if you are playing a lead in a on air show, the lead characters and actors are considered as one for audience. normal audience know the actors in the name of the lead character they play. so if the lead actor plays another character with another female costar on same time, it wont go wel with audience. and also every channel will have exclusive contract for leads. thats why normally actors quit one show to take lead of other show. some channels even wnt let their leads to participate in reality shows of other channels.

but seriously i'm glad that a preet character isnt replaced. i cant imagine anyone else playing preet other than ssr. we hav already seen the mess with new harman :/

ps: kis desh didnt go off air due to low trp. kis desh had good trp even in afternoon slot. infact it created a history in afternoon slot. the show pulled off air because of the rift between star plus and ekta kapoor

Ronit Roy romances with smirti Irani and Shewta at the same time in Kynki and Kasuti both of them were Trp topper. Audience accepted him in both role.
