I m not taking sides with maya or anything but in reality she was spoiled brat who didnt realize the consequences until veera s death n also she was an outsider the real ppl were veera n gy3 who plotted and schemed against their own family. The part where heer had to b a witness against nihaal or wen they thought prem cheated it was gy3 without anyone's help destroying anyone.maya was never that important so they just punished by sending her to daddys home
