There gathered everyone, in the drawing room of the Maans. Everyone looked very tensed, why won't they be, the issue was such...

Gayatri took Teji's hands in her hands...

Gayatri: Give the permission Teji...Look, I hesitated at first too but after all we trust our kids, at least I trust Meher...

Teji: It is not about the trusting issue Gayatri...I have full faith on our kids but it is the society I am thinking about, what would they think?

Lalit: I can understand parjaiji, but your society won't bother because they will be in Australia not in India...

Kulraaj: Yeah chachi, besides I will be there too...I would have kept both of them with me if the house was at a near place for their university...

Kiran: Yeah, as we have just started our business there so the proper Mansion would take one year to be build..After that Preet and Meher can move with us to there...

Balraaj: But what about the first one week? Kulraaj won't be there and Meher will have to stay with Preet in the same flat...I think for one week, Meher should stay somewhere on rent...I will somehow manage the money...

Prem: Papaji, it is not about the money..Meher can get any house on rent but just think in an unknown country won't it be at least safer to be with Preet than to be with some unknown foreign strangers?

Heer: Maa, Bauji I think you both should agree...

Maanjeet: Yes, Heer is right...

Veena: Balraaj prahji, Teji parjaiji I think your younger brother is right...

Teji: *Taking a deep breath* Heer's bauji? I think we should agree...

Preet and Meher who was watching all these silently till now, looked at each other and smiled...Preet closed his eyes to reassure Meher that she will be just fine with him and Meher nodded her head just to convey Preet that she very well knew that...

Balraaj: *Taking Preet's hand in his* Preet my son, please take care of Meher...She has never gone out of Ambala...I don't know how will she manage without us...

Preet: Balraaj chachu don't you worry..Meher will be all fine, I am taking the responsibility...*Smiles, holding Balraaj's hand to assure him* Balraaj gave a relieved smile too at Preet...

Actually what happened was Meher's hostel's seat which was happened to be given by the university got cancelled...They were having some legal issues with the new hostel, which they build for the scholarship holders, so they were then unable to provide them the hostel facility...As Meher knew that Balraaj couldn't afford the expense of a rented house, Meher decided to cancel her dreams of getting into that university...But the Junejas had a solution for that...They had two flats in a same apartment in Melbourne which they used to use as their vacation home in Australia...Preet were suppose to live in one of them and the another one Meher could use...Kulraaj who was happen to be settled in Australia too with Kiran as the construction of their hotel in Australia was about to start, could not stay in that aparment because that apartment was in the another corner of the city from the construction side and the school where they enrolled their kids...As they wanted to open hotels in Australia too and they knew Preet would be taking admission in Melbourne, so a year ago, they started to construct finally a Juneja mansion in the mid of the city so that all of them could move to there after finishing it and sell the two apartments...The mansion would take probably one year more to be finished...After that Kulraaj's family, Preet and Meher could move there...For the first one week Preet and Meher had to live in the same flat as it would take a week to fix up Meher's flat..The juneja's made ready one flat for Preet as they did not know that Meher would need one too..

So after Balraaj and Teji also gave their consent to it, Gayatri remembered something and called out for Lalit who was busy talking with Prem about some business issue...

Lalit: What happened Gayatri?

Gayatri: Kulraaj's bauji, do you remember that we had another reason for coming over here?

Lalit: *Realising it* Oh yes, how can we forget it...

Gayatri: Yeah, we forgot...I think we should call everyone here again..

Gayatri and Lalit called everyone and told them that, Preet had to leave for Canada the next day to make preparations as he had to leave for Australia in two weeks. So they wanted to do a little engagement ceremony of Herman and Maya that day itself as a little promise to the Maan's that after Herman and Maya's graduations, Maya would belong to the Juneja's, only if the Maan's did not have any problem...Maanjeet and Veena were more than happy to know about it, so was Balraaj and Teji..What problem they could have, their another daughter was getting married to their dearest Juenja family..How much wonderful it would be!

Meher and Heer took Maya for a little dressing up while Herman waited for her impatiently...After few moments, Meher and Heer came down taking a very blushing Maya along with them...There was a veil on Maya's head and a bindi on her forehead...Herman got lost in her...

Preet: Herman bhai, a little bit control..Your graduation will take still 2 years and Maya bhabi's will take 3...*Winks*

Herman: Preet, you little...*Punching Preet on his arm*

Preet: Ouch! Preet, you little what? Cutie? Ah well I know..

Preet laughed out and Herman just looked away being irritated...

The engagement ceremony were done properly...After that everyone had sweets and snacks...Preet was really upset as he would miss the delicious dinner feast because he had to go back to Ludhiana to meet some of his friends for the last time and then do packing...All the youngsters were having a good time in Meher's bedroom when Preet entered with a sulk face...

Veera: What happened Preet bhaiya?

Still about the dinner?

Preet: Shut up Veera...No more salt on my wounds please...The aroma is killing me...

Meher: *Laughing* I never knew Mr. Preet Juneja has these much love for food...

Kulraaj: Yeah Mehu, that he has surely but I think he is also tensed about the packing...

Preet: Don't even make me remember that.. *Making sad face*

Maya: Boys always don't like packing kind of things...

Veera: Maya bhabi, Preet bhaiya never packs his bags himself always maa does it...This time maa has said that as he is going into university now, he won't get any help...

Meher: Hahaha, poor you Preet...

Preet: Meher, you two? I thought you were my friend...*Rolling his eyes*

Meher: So what? This is why friends are for Preet...

Preet: Hehe, so funny...*Mocking tone*

At some point of their chilling out, when everyone was busy, Preet noticed that Meher was trying to wear the bracelet for a long time, which Veera brought for her from Canada but she was not able too...Preet stood up and went near her...

Preet: Need help?

Meher: Umm, you can?

Preet: Ah well, at least I can give it a try though...

Meher: *Smiles* Okay...

Meher forwarded her hand to Preet and Preet took Meher's hand in his hands...Preet started trying to tie the bracelet, he was looking so innocent while giving efforts that Meher could not take her eyes off him...When Preet was done, he looked up and saw Meher was smiling at him..

Preet: Why are you smiling like that Meher? *Confused*

Meher: You know you looked so innocent while giving the efforts...

Preet: Oh really? By the way, do you know how much cute and innocent you look when you smile?

Meher: Is it?

Preet: It is madam...

Meher just smiled looking at Preet and Preet admired her smile thinking how much beautiful can someone's smile get...

It was the time for Preet to leave, Preet took the blessings of the elders and took leave from everyone..When he was about to step out of the door...He found Meher coming towards him with a tiffin box...

Preet: Now what's with this Meher?

Teji: Oh that? Just some dinner I packed for you my child...Have it later with ease...

Preet: Seriously chachi?! *Preet ran to Teji and hugged her* I was so dying for missing the amazing dinner and here you are...The best chachi...

Teji: Haha, crazy son of mine *Patting Preet's cheeck*

Preet: Now I have to rush sadly...It is getting late...Meher give me the tiffin box..

Meher: Umm Preet I am going with you till the car...I have to take the papers about the university which I needed. They are in your car remember?

Preet: Oh yeah, but that does not mean you will carry the tiffin box..Now give it to me...

Preet and Meher were walking towards the car...The two friends who never stopped talking, were silent that day...They both just realised that they won't be seeing each other for the next two weeks...After their childhood which both did not remember, they met three weeks before and had developed a real good bond..

Meher: Preet?

Preet: Hmm?

Meher: Why are you so silent?

Preet: Meher, you are too..

Meher: Oh hmm...

Preet: I think, we both have the same reason...I will miss you Meher...

Meher: *Looking at Preet* I will miss you too Preet...

Preet: I know, I know I am that cool *laughs*...On a other note, we will be just together after two weeks...Meet you soon in Melbourne...

Meher: *Smiles* Yeah...

Preet very much wanted to hug Meher but he was not sure if Meher would like it or not so he gave Meher a side hug and handed her the papers she needed...Preet got into the her, putting the tiffin box on the front seat and sat on the driving seat...Before driving off, he looked at Meher and waved a bye, Meher smiled and waved a bye too...

After a long eventful day everyone was tired and were resting in their rooms in the Maan house...Maya and Meher were preparing their bed...

Meher: I am so happy Maya, you are also engaged now...That too with Herman bhaiya...

Maya: And I am very happy that you are now going to live with your would be one too in the same aparment building...

Meher: Maya, what rubbish are you talking about...*Irrirated face*

Maya: Yeah yeah, truth is always rubbish to you Meher...

Meher: Maya uff! You are just impossible...

Maya: *Showing a photo of Preet and Meher on her phone* See this photo, how adorable you two were looking together that day fighting, while playing charades...
