While some actors have trouble
finding a pretty lady as an arm
candy on the red carpet, seems
like the Shuddh Desi Romance
hero is an exception
Sushant Singh Rajput will soon
be on the Toronto red carpet,
and guess what; he will have the
two leading ladies of his upcoming film for company. Shuddh Desi Romance (SDR) will be premiered at the Toronto International Film
Festival (TIFF) this year. The Gala Red Carpet Premiere will be held on September 11th and director Maneesh Sharma along with Sushant Singh Rajput, Parineeti Chopra and debutant Vaani Kapoor will be a part of the premiere. While it's great news for the film's cast and crew we wonder what Sushant's girlfriend Ankita Lokhande feels about Sushant's female company.
After all, those who have seen
the sizzling chemistry between
Sushant and his two co-stars
Parineeti and Vaani, we wonder if Ankita will join her beau on the red carpet like at she does at most award functions. Well we're sure Sushant won't mind this three's company, after all, more the merrier!

Sushant Singh Rajput received
more than critical acclaim for his role in Abhishek Kapoor's Kai Po Che. The film's success and the popularity of his act confirmed that TV talent can make a smooth transition from small screen to Bollywood.
The attention grabbed by the
trailers of Sushant's upcoming
film, Maneesh Sharma's rom-com Shuddh Desi Romance co-starring Parineeti Chopra, proves the actor is here to stay.
For years, TV has been a
platform to showcase talent.
However, it is only now that the
line between small screen and
the big is blurring Dibakar Banerjee has cast him as
the bhadralok sleuth Byomkesh
Bakshi and he also costars with
Aamir Khan in Rajkumar Hirani's
Peekay. Abhishek Kapoor has cast him opposite Katrina Kaif in his next, Fitoor.
Delhi boy Sushant has come a
long way since he became a
household name as Manav in Ekta Kapoor's soap Pavitra Rishta. His rise continues unlike several top TV stars not long ago, who made a foray into Bollywood only to disappear after a hyped release or two.
Not since Shah Rukh Khan has any actor emerging from the small screen excited the industry as Sushant has.
There has been Vidya Balan too,
and you could count R Madhavan
as well - as actors who made a
mark on TV before big screen
beckoned. These, though, were exceptions. Most TV superstars including Amarr Upadhyay, Aman Verma and Shweta Tiwari tried entering Bollywood without success.
Sushant represents a generation
of TV actors that is changing that
notion. Sushant Singh Rajput shot to fame as Manav Deshmukh, a middle-
class boy in Pavitra Rishta. He
finished runner-up in the dance
reality show, Jhallak Dikhlaa Jaa.

Sushant Singh Rajput to
introduce Vaani to the media
Yash Raj Films (YRF) has launched a couple of new talents in their last few films, including Arjun Kapoor in Ishaqzaade (2012) and
Sasheh Aagha in Aurangzeb
earlier this year. And now, it
looks like it is Vaani Kapoor's
time to shine. The actor, who is
making her Bollywood debut with the Sushant Singh Rajput-Parineeti Chopra starrer Shuddh Desi Romance, will be introduced to the media at a special event this week.
When contacted, a spokesperson
from YRF confirmed the news
saying, "Yes, Sushant will be
introducing Vaani to the media in an event this week. It has been specially planned for her."
While Parineeti will not be
present at the do, there was
apparently a debate about who
among the lead actors would
introduce Vaani. "Both Sushant
and Parineeti were equally
excited to introduce Vaani to the media. However, finally, it is going to be Sushant," says a
source close to the film's team.

The long ride from Patna to Mumbai is one trip Sushant Singh Rajput is unwilling to forget.

Ever since the small town lad made his mark in Bollywood, Sushant apparently has been dying to visit his hometown. Sources say he has been longing to meet his family and friends who reside in Patna.

Finally, with his upcoming film Shuddh Desi Romance, the actor could be getting a chance to meet and greet his friends and introduce his co- stars to them as well.

A source says, "Ever since his first film, Sushant wanted to meet his folk back home. He hasn't been home since a while.

He even requested the makers of his debut film to arrange for a promotional event there, which didn't happen. But the producers of his next film are sending the cast including Parineeti Chopra and Vaani Kapoor to Patna." Sushant's friends are apparently also waiting to meet the actors. "He is hoping to spend some quality time in his native town," adds the source.

The film's spokesperson says, "Having come from Patna, he is emotionally tied to the city. We will take the final call soon."
