Hmm...I do kind of paint his and Preet's relationship as being strained don't I? 😆..but that was how it was for a good part of the show too.

Actually you remember the beating Lalit gave Preet, when he thought Prem died?...that was brutal...and it really colored my view of Lalit...no matter how well he got along with Preet later on. 🤔

Ok I know Meher said that to um well make Preet feel better. Some parents are really bad in real.

Lalit wasn't really bad...but Preet in this particular story didn't get a chance to make up with his dad.

She's such a bubbly person. And he got so used to having her around and sharing all aspects of his life that it seems empty and boring without her.

@ Fatima true Bauji is ruthless towards Preet - he I think took out all his anger and sadness on his poor son. Not realizing that Preet would miss his bro most than anyone else. He's never really kind to any of his kids. Preet's older bro had been humiliated and slapped 18 times and disowned publicly. He is not v confident about Kiran Jiju. He kind of accepted Jiju sort of. Both daughters are v afraid of him - usually not shown. Overall a very stubborn authoritative and most times shown as stupid , very poor decision maker in show. In ur story - I get the impression he's only very strict - dunno about physically abusive yet. Anyhow I don't believe he has any role really anymore in upcoming chs. Unless Preet's memory happens to go toward him - not likely.
