56 UP It's time for a new installment of the Granada Television documentary series that has been checking in with a group of 14 British citizens every seven years since 1964, when they were 7. Michael Apted directed, as he has done since the second film in the series.

TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D The seventh film in the horror franchise that began with "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" way back in 1974 offers itself as an immediate sequel to the original, with Alexandra Daddario as a woman who inherits a Texas mansion with an unexpected tenant. John Luessenhop directed; with Dan Yeager as Leatherface and cameo appearances by the original cast members Marilyn Burns and Gunnar Hansen.

CLANDESTINE CHILDHOOD A family of political exiles returns to the Argentina of 1979, hiding behind false identities — which has particular consequences for 12-year-old Juan (Teo Gutirrez Moreno). Benjamin Avila directed.

FILLY BROWN A Los Angeles hip-hop artist (Gina Rodriguez) struggles with the temptation to sell her soul to a record company in a drama directed by Youssef Delara and Michael D. Olmos. With Jenni Rivera, Lou Diamond Phillips, Edward James Olmos, Emilio Rivera and Joseph Julian Soria.

GANGSTER SQUAD Josh Brolin and Ryan Gosling as members of a secret unit with the Los Angeles Police Department fighting to curtail the influence of the East Coast Mafia, represented locally by Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn). Ruben Fleischer ("Zombieland") directed; with Nick Nolte and Emma Stone.

LET MY PEOPLE GO Living happily in Finland with his blond boyfriend, a gay, Jewish Frenchman is forced to return to Paris for Passover, where his parents (Carmen Maura and Jean-Franois Stevenin) lie in wait for him. Mikael Buch directed this French-language comedy.

STORAGE 24 The crash of a military cargo plane scatters dangerous debris across London, leaving four young folks trapped in a storage facility when the lights go off. Johannes Roberts directed this made-in-Britain monster movie.

STRUCK BY LIGHTNING A high school senior (Chris Colfer) recounts his troubled life in flashbacks after being killed by a lightning bolt. Brian Dannelly directed from Mr. Colfer's screenplay; with Allison Janney, Christina Hendricks, Sarah Hyland, Carter Jenkins, Brad William Henke, Rebel Wilson, Angela Kinsey, Polly Bergen and Dermot Mulroney.
