As they sat down, she smiled at him.
"Can you see the sparkle now?" Heer asked him excited.
"A little bit but I'm sure it will be full by the time we leave. Now lets' order something, the little sparkle isn't going to fill my stomach (although a full sparkle would he thought to himself)" Prem uttered.
"Lets' order then" She gave the order after asking him and both started to chat.
"I'm sorry I wasted your Friday' you'd have probably hang out with your friends." She said gazing down.
"Well that's what I'm doing now too so no worries." Prem smiled.
They were discussing about their friends and family while eating and ordered for dessert when Heer found someone she knows walking in. Prem's back was facing the door and he was busy texting in his mobile. They walked up to her and smiled. She smiled back and got up to greet them.
"Di' this is Prem, my friend." Prem heard her say and when he lifted his head, he went agape.
It was Priya di and Ram Jeeju' He gave them a bewildered expression.
"Hello Prem, this is Ram" His jeej extended his hand grinning while his di was glaring at him.
"Hi" Prem unknowingly extended his hand.
"Priya, let's go ahead' why disturb this young couple?" Ram winked at Prem before dragging Priya from there.
Prem fell down on the chair. Heer didn't understand why he was behaving so oddly.
"Prem, what happened?" Heer asked him.
"Priya di is my sister." He gave her a half smile.
"What??" This time it was shock for her.
"Yea' How do you know her?" He asked as if checking she knows anything about the proposal.
"I met her at a party sometime back. She's really very friendly and sweet. I've been meeting her in my friend's parties a lot." Heer said.
"Oh good." Prem sighed.
"Why did they act like that?" Heer questioned.
"Jeej is a little prankster don't worry about it. I guess we can leave now." Prem told her.
"Its' okay. I can go alone. Why don't you join them?" She asked him.
"No its' okay. Its' their time together, I don't want to interrupt them." He paid the bill and left with her.
"So what are your weekend plans?" He asked her.
"I didn't plan anything yet." Heer told him.
"Why don't you come to my place for lunch then" He uttered spontaneously and then bit his tongue.
"Your place' me??" Heer asked unsure.
"That's okay if you don't mind" He said covering up.
"Okay. What time and where?" She asked.
He told her the details and she left. He went back to the restaurant and joined his sister. He sat on the chair while he saw her crossing her arms and turning her face away.
"Diii I know I should've told you but'" He saw this jeej grinning.
"But' I thought jeej would tell you' you know he never hides anything from you'" Ram stared at him bewildered.
"Prem that's not fair' when did you tell me?" He questioned.
"I told you that night, I met her." Prem said in a breath.
"Yea but you didn't tell me that things went so far" Ram covered up.
"So far??? We were just having a friendly dinner together." Prem replied back.
"Stop it you too. I know both are at fault. Now Prem, tell me everything." Priya scolded.
He told her how he met her in the station and since then, how they met in office, cab every day.
"Dii I think it's time I tell her everything" He said seriously.
"Why?" She questioned.
"Because she's the one' and I don't want to lose her." He said in a breath.
"Really?" Priya and Ram said together.
"Yes' I love her" Prem admitted.
"Finally after a month, we get an answer." Priya sighed with a twinkle in her eyes.
"Took you so long to figure it out?" Ram questioned.
"Hmm' I've invited her for lunch tomorrow and I'm planning to confess everything. I need a small help." He told them the plan that he thought off.
"That's great. Sure we'll help." Priya smiled and lovingly touched his cheek.

Heer stood in the balcony looking at the moon. He invited her out of blue and she accepted it too. She was completely surprised that she led herself till here. She was modern yet had some conservative principles. She always thought things like love and all existed in movies though she did see her friends falling for each other. She always felt it was something fancy and people were crazy.
One look at Prem and all these ideals and principles vanished in air. Her thoughts went to the day when she missed the cab and went to catch the local. She was in a hurry to reach home and didn't know when the train was, so asked someone. The girl in her couldn't help but admire how good he looked. She thought her mind was acting crazily and went to find out from some other. Later, she found the only empty place to sit was beside him on the bench. Her legs were aching so she just settled down. She saw him watching her, so told him the train would come in another twenty minutes.
It was later that she realized those were the best twenty minutes of her life as they laid a foundation for their friendship. Being in the same office helped to, she didn't know it was destiny or something she prayed for they kept meeting each other. They became good friends. Love seemed to be too big a word for her so she never let those thoughts near her but every time she saw him, she felt something for him. It was not like what she felt with her friends. That night when without her confessing anything, the way he understood she was in sorrow. He always left his mark on her mind. She knew it was definitely beyond friendship. She didn't know what he felt but what if he's going through the same turmoil.
She was completely shocked when he asked her to meet him for lunch. What did that imply? Was he going to introduce her to his parents? Was there something in his mind too? Or was it only because Priya di found them together? She just wanted to know whatever it was.
All of a sudden, she realized her mobile was ringing and ran to attend it.
"Heeloo" she heard someone shriek.
"Helloo how are you?" A smile formed on her face.
"I'm fine. How are you? Wassup?" She heard him say.
"Nothing. You say?" She settled on bed.
"Your nothing definitely means there's something. Would you care to share?" He asked.
"Preet I'm confused." Heer confessed.
"Confused about what?" He asked her.
"Hmm" She was not sure whether to tell him or not.
"Is it something about Prem?" He asked her.
"You know in the last three-four weeks I've called you there's only one thing you talked about' prem' He did this' We fought over this topic, agreed over this, had lunch in canteen and complained about food' anything more left?" He let out his frustration.
"What do you think?" She asked.
"What do I think??? I think you're crazy'" Before he could continue, she cut him
"Whatt??"
"Let me continue yaar' I think you're completely crazy about him. Heer I've known you for years now and I'm sure you're in love. I just can't believe it. You've broken so many hearts till now lecturing about love is trash etc and you' you fall in love' What am I going to say to all those who keep bugging me about you? She does believe in love now but love someone else' OMG" Preet ranted and ranted'.
"Stop it now Preeet." Heer had to shout literally to make him stop.
"I've figured it out by now that I love him but what next? What am I going to do? What if he doesn't like me? And most importantly what about dad and mom? What am I going to tell them? There is something going on in their minds too." She asked him a million questions.
"You expect me to answer all those questions. No ways. Just go and confess him and later part both of you handle that's what I can tell you." He advised her.
"What??? Me and confess' no ways' I just can't do it" Heer said in shock.
"Then how will you know?" Preet asked hitting his head.
"He invited me for lunch tomorrow. So, I guess he wants to say something." Heer hoped in a positive way.
"Oh god' do whatever you want" Preet said irritatingly.
"Preet do you think I should try?" Heer asked.
"I wish I was there to pull your hair. That's what I told you, go confess" Preet shouted.
"Ok chill' I'll try but I can't promise." Heer said.
"Whatever and do call me later." Preet told her.
"Sure. Good night." Heer cut the call.
Preet was her friend from college days. Karan, Kritika, Preet and her' He was a total prankster among them all. They used to have lot of fun in college. Karan and Kritika were in love since college days and lot of them thought she and Preet were in love too but they were just best friends and never thought anything more than that. People who knew them closely always admired their bond. They would fight, scold but ultimately they were friends and would make up. They were no secrets when it comes to them. She thanked god for blessing her with wonderful people all around her and went to sleep.
