Heer with a small bag in her hand, stood in front of big Junjea mansion in Ambala. She is just 19 years old. She saw a security in the entrance. 'bhai shab, I'm coming from Mumbai. Janu didi send me here for a job.' Security opened the door for her and showed the way. As Heer walked through the garden, she admired the beauty of the house. In her life she never saw a such a big house. The house stood in the middle of a village as a attraction. A young man greeted her and asked about her. She again repeated the same thing when a young man asked her.

He asked her to wait and went inside. He returned with an old lady. Old lady greeted her lovingly. Her name Teji Juneja. Heer handed a letter Janu wrote it for her. Teji smiled 'your name is Heer.' Heer shook her head. Teji 'how is Janu?' Heer 'she is fine.' Teji 'ate anything?' Heer shook her head negatively. Teji ordered the young man, Ramu to give food for Heer. Heer followed Ramu. Teji settled in the couch going through some books.

Heer after eating her food came back to Teji and stood silently until she finishes the call. Teji 'Janu has mention that you lost all your family members.' Heer shook her head with tears. Teji 'are you married?' Heer 'ha but divorced. Last month he chased me out of the house.' Teji gave concerned look to her. 'okay beta. Forget the past.' She got up 'did you studied?' Heer 'ha 12^th std.' Teji 'can you cook?' Heer 'ha.' Lady 'okay. For now you help Ramu in Kitchen. Supervise other servants in this house.' Heer agreed. Teji called Ramu again and asked him to show her room. Teji 'this house has many rooms but I'm the only person living here. So you people are my children and relatives.' She laughed. Heer felt her loneliness in that smile. Heer looked at her. she remembered her Chachi, she fearfully 'can I call you Chachi?' Teji is stunned by her affection with tears nodded her head. 'yes you can.'

Teji is elder daughter of Surinder and Vasundra Juneja. Lalit is her younger brother. Vasundra died when Lalit was 10 year old. Surinder is a rich man in Ambala. He is like a God to everyone in that village. He does everything for villagers goodness. Teji loved Balraj who worked in their field. Surinder also liked Balraj. He agreed for marriage. Few days before marriage, Balraj died in an accident. After that Teji refused to marry another person. She decided to live with Balraj's memory. She helped her father in looking after the field and mill.

Lalit who is 5 years younger than Teji, never showed interest in field works. He never went to mill to check the works. He always wanted to be an owner of big star hotels. He dreams walking in a big hotel as CEO. Surinder never liked Lalit's plans. He thought marriage will bring Lalit into a meaningful life. Gay3 entered the house as Juneja's DIL. She is a very nice girl. soon Prem born. But nothing changed in Lalit's mind. He always challenged his father saying 'one day I'll became a leading business man in this world.'

Until Surinder's death Lalit stayed in India. When Prem was 4 years, Lalit went to Canada with Gay3 and Prem. Prem was very much attached with Teji. She missed him very badly. Teji is living alone in this house looking after their wealth with the hope of Lalit's return. She continued her father's good will. She is respected by the villagers like the way her father was respected.

Within a week Heer gained good name from Teji. Heer looked after every work. She never sat silent for a second. She called Ramu 'bhaiya.' She helped Teji in everything. She went with Teji to the field. She counted the bags when it is loaded. She maintained accounts. All the workers in the field and mill started loving her. Seeing her work Teji started giving all the outdoor works to her. Teji suggested Heer to study further in correspondence. Heer agreed and applied.

After a month, Heer was helping Teji in the rice mill. Suddenly a lady shouted 'Heer beta.' Teji rushed to the spot and found Heer lying unconscious on the floor. Some sprinkled water. Teji checked her pulse and smiled. Another lady 'what happned ji?' Teji 'she is pregnant.' Others also cheered.

Hearing the news Heer is shocked. Teji understanding her pain 'we are with you. Why are you worried? Be happy for you child.' Heer nodded with a fake smile. Teji take care of Heer like her own daughter. Heer delivered a girl after eight months. She named her 'Chahat.'

After three years

Chahat became a princess of the house. Teji treated her as her poti. Chahat called Teji 'dadi ma.' Ramu married a girl Chamba. She too loved Heer like her sister. So Heer had a family. She is now a graduate and handling all the properties and works of Teji. Teji is helping Heer from home. For the past four years Heer took care of Teji like her own mother. Teji too loved Heer as her own daughter.

Teji was sitting in the garden and talking to Chahat. Chahat just started going to school. She has the habit of updating each and every incident happened in the school to Teji. Heer went to garden with snacks. She kept in front of them. She took the coffee cup and handed to Teji. Teji unable to hold the cup dropped it. Teji holding her chest struggled in pain. Heer found her facial changes. 'Chahat, call Ramu kaka.' Chahat ran inside shouting 'Ramu Kaka come fast. Dadima is not well.' Ramu and Chamba rushed out.

Heer 'bhaiya, we have to take her to the hospital.' She ran inside to call the doctor. Chahat cried 'what happened to dadi ma?' Chamba 'nothing beta. She will be alright. Mamma has gone to call the doctor uncle.' She hugged and consoled crying Chahat.

Soon Ambulance arrived. Teji is taken to hospital. Heer and Ramu rushed to hospital with Teji. Chamba stayed at home with Chahat. After check up, doctors confirmed that its mild heart attack. Doctor 'Heer, she wants to talk to you.' Heer went inside.

Teji smiled looking at tearful Heer. She signed her to come closer 'Chachi won't leave you and Chahat alone.' Heer silent thinking 'even in this situation she thinks about me and Chahat.' Teji 'you call Lalit and tell him to come here.' Heer nodded. Teji 'where is Chahat?' Heer 'she is at home.' Teji 'tell her that Dadi is perfectly okay.' Heer shook her head.

Heer went home and searched for Lalit's number. When he spoke to Teji few days back Heer heard their conversation. After that Teji told about him to Heer. He is married to Gaya3 and has one son Prem. He is a very rich man in Canada. In the past four years that is was the only occasion Teji talked about Lalit and family to Heer.

After a long search she found his phone number. Heer dialed the number and heard elderly man voice on the other side. Heer 'sir, I'm calling from Ambala. Your sister Teji is hospitalized. She wants to see you.' Lalit shocked on the other end 'few days back she is normal.' Heer continued 'mild heart attack.' She couldn't continue after that and broke down. Lalit on the other end shouted Gaya3's name. He kept the phone down saying 'we'll be there in few days.'

After two days, Lalit with his wife Gay3 landed in Ambala. Heer greeted them and updated Teji's current status. Immediately after breakfast, Lalit and Gaya3 went to hospital to see Teji with Heer. Doctor praised Heer for Teji's improvement. Teji with tears looked at Lalit. As Gaya3 preferred to stay with Teji, Heer returned home.

In the evening, Chahat returned from school. She threw the bag on the couch. Lalit who is sitting in the couch noticed a kid coming inside the house with anger. Chahat ran to Teji room and checked. She came back with disappointment. Heer entered the house. Chahat shouted 'mamma, where is dadi ma?' Heer 'Chahat you first change your dress.' Chahat keeping her hands on the hip 'I want to see dadi ma now.' She stamped her feet on the floor angrily.

Lalit thought 'she must be 3 years but her anger is more than 30 year old.' Heer looked at Lalit who is watching Chahat. She decided to drag Chahat inside. Chahat refused and sat in the couch 'I won't move from here until I see Dadi ma.' Heer 'I'll take you. first you change.' Chahat shook her head negatively 'first dadi ma.' Heer 'dadi ma won't talk to you until you finish your home work isn't it?' Chahat thought for a while then agreed. She went in grabbing her bag.

Lalit still couldn't move his eyes out of Chahat stared at her. Chamba came there with his tea. Lalit 'who is she?' Chamba 'Heer's daughter.' Lalit smiled 'so sweet.'

Part 2

After an hour Chahat came out of her room dressed neatly ready to go to hospital to meet Teji. Heer 'Chahat, you should not talk much to dadi ma. she has fever.' Chahat 'but mamma, I have' she opened her hands wide open 'so much to tell.' Heer ordered 'you can tell that after Dadi ma returns home. not now.' Chahat nodded her head. She ran ahead of Heer to get into the car.

Chahat and Heer entered the Teji's ward. Teji face showed happiness. Gaya3 noticed the fresh smile appearing on Teji's face and turned towards the entrance. Chahat ran to Teji. She stretched her body upward to reach Teji's cheek and kissed her 'dadi ma. I missed you.' Teji smiled 'me to beta'. Heer 'dadi ma should not talk now. Its doctors ordered. You sit quietly.' Chahat obediently stood near Teji 's bed. Teji with her palm cupped Chahat cheek. Chahat 'dadi ma do you know' Heer 'Chahaat.' Chahat sadly 'okay mamma. I won't talk.' she looked at Teji with a complaint face. Teji 'I'll ask doctor uncle to discharge today.' Chahat smiled.

Gaya3 admiring the kid 'your daughter.' Heer 'ha ma ji.' Gay3 'very smart child.' Teji has mentioned about Heer long back. So Gay3 didn't dig further. Chahat looked at Gaya3 'who are you?' Gay3 is stunned by that question. Heer 'Chahat, you should not talk to elders like that. She is dadi ma's brother's wife.' Chahat repeated 'Dadi ma ''''. brother ''''.wife. ' quickly 'Where is dadi ma's brother?' She remembered seeing a man sitting in the house. She snapped 'oh that dada ji.' She rubbed her palm on her head 'with a shining head.' She laughed. 'is dadi ma's brother. Am I right?' she looked at Gay3 then Teji. Teji and Gaya3 laughed. Heer angrily sighed her to keep quiet. But Chahat was frequently asking questions.

Heer decided to drag Chahat to home. But Gay3 enjoyed Chahat's presence with her that made Chahat talk more and more. Gay3 talks 'she talks like Prem.' Teji 'she reminds our Prem in her every action. Where is Prem?' Gay3 'he has some work. He will be coming after 3 weeks.' Chahat interrupted 'who is that Prem now? Dadi ma never mentioned that name before.' Gay3 'he is my son. Your dadi ma calls him as chottu.' Chahat 'where is he now?' she whispered 'does he has shining head too.' She giggled. Gay3 'no my son has lot of hair.' Chahat 'like my hair.' Gay3 'not lengthy. but like you he too has silky hair.' Chahat 'oh.' Teji 'you will get a fighter Chahat.' Chahat 'fighter?' Teji 'like you he too orders everyone.' Chahat confidently 'no one can beat Chahat.' proudly 'I'm dadi ma's Princess.'

Teji and Gay3 laughed. Doctor came in 'hai Chahat. when did you came?' Chahat 'just now uncle. Why are you keeping my Dadi ma here?' Doctor 'she needs rest.' Chahat 'send her home. I need to talk to her.' Doctor checking Teji 'okay. For your poti I send you home.' he gave instruction to Teji.

Heer went to settle the bil while Gay3 helped Teji to get ready to go home. Chahat was sitting in the one end of the bed excitingly waiting to go home with Teji. Heer returned, Teji 'shall we move beta.' Heer 'ha Chachi.' Chahat jumped down and held Teji's hand 'careful Dadi ma.' Gay3 smiled looking at the way Chahat taking care of Teji. Gay3 and Heer followed them.

As they are walking down the corridor, one nurse smiled looking at Chahat. Teji thanked her for helping. Nurse 'lucky doctor discharged you today. Otherwise your poti won't leave us peacefully.' She laughed. Nurse walked away. Gay3 'entire Ambala knows her.' Teji 'ha. Everyone loves our Chahat.'

Teji entered her room. Chahat ordered 'Dadi ma needs rest. You go out and come t'row morning.' she send everyone out. Lalit 'OMG. she even pushes me out.' Gay3 smiled 'like our Prem she wants everyone to listen to her.' Lalit shook his head 'so Prem gets a nice partner to fight.' Gay3 and Lalit walked out of the room. Teji smiled 'come Chahat.' Chahat sat in the bed next to Teji. Teji 'did you finish you home work?' Chahat 'ha I finished it.' she started telling her what happened in her school. From outside Lalit heard Teji and Chahat happy talk. he looked at Gay3 'Di likes her very much.' Gay3 'ha she thinks her as her own poti.'

In next one month, Chahat became very close to Gay3 and Lalit too. She is either seen with Teji or Gay3 and Lalit. After the school she chat with Teji and Gay3. She played with Lalit. Chahat became princess for them too. Heer is very busy as it is harvesting time. so she leaves the home in the morning and returns late in the night. Gay3 and Chamba is taking care of Chahat.

Morning, Heer gave a cup of milk in Chahat's hand before going to work. she instruction. Chahat 'mamma, i know. you are telling this daily. did you got any complaint about me?' Heer 'no beta.' Chahat 'mamma. you go to work.' Heer with a smile went to mill.

She looked at the person who bumped on her back. He gave a confused look 'why are you sitting in the stairs.? who are you?' Chahat 'I'm Chahat. Princess of this house.' he confused 'Princess?' Chahat 'who are you?' he 'I'm the Prince of this house. I'm Prem.' Chahat keeping her hands on her forehead 'oh chottu.' Prem shocked. 'what?' Chahat 'dadi ma calls you chottu right. I'm her poti.' Prem confused thinking 'did bua married. Does she has any kids?'

Chahat 'hi chottu. Why you kicked me?' Prem got angry 'little girl calls me Chottu. How dare you call me chottu?' Chahat 'first anwser my question? Why you kicked me?' Prem 'why are you sitting on my way.' Chahat 'its my place.' Prem 'this is my house.' Chahat shouted 'my house.' Prem 'my house.' both were screaming louder and louder.

Hearing their fight, Gay3 came out of kitchen. She started laughing seeing their posture. Both with their hands on their hips shouting at each other. 'Prem, why are you shouting?' Prem turned to Gay3 'ma, who is this girl?' Gay3 touching Chahat's head. 'your Bua's poti.' Prem 'ma. when did bua married. Where is her son?' Gay3 'she didn't marry. Heer who is taking care of your Bua is Chahat's mother.' she pulled Chahat cheek 'I always wanted a girl like this.' Chahat smiled. Gay3 'See she too has a dot on her cheek.' Prem 'ma. giving respect to a servant spoils' he is interrupted by Chahat screaming 'hai stay there.' Gay3 and Prem confusingly looked at Chahat.

Chahat looking at Ash who is coming down the stairs rubbing her eyes didn't see the milk cup which Chahat placed in the stairs. Ash got angry. Chahat walked to the stairs and picked up the cup in her hand. She hit her palm in her forehead 'within a night all blind people entered this house.' she came back to the place where Prem and Gay3 is standing. Ash anger increased when she saw laughing Gay3.

Ash 'who is she?' Prem 'servant's daughter.' Gay3 'don't call her servant. Your Bua will get angry. Entire village love them.' Prem 'its for you. for me she is only servant.' He jogged out. Ash 'I'm also coming' she ran behind him.

Chahat drinking remaining milk walked to Kitchen to place the cup. Gay3 watched her. Chahat placing the cup inside the kitchen ran to garden to join Lalit.

Prem is working in his laptop. Chahat pushed the door slowly and peeped in. Prem looked up. she smiled. Prem melted in this smile shook his head indicating her to come in. He concentrates back on his work. Chahat walked around in the room then settle next to Prem. she watched what is he doing in the laptop. 'what is this?' Prem 'laptop.' Chahat 'can I touch it.' Prem wondered 'how come she is so soft now.' Prem gave permission to touch the laptop. She touched the laptop screen 'looks like TV.' Prem got a call so he signed her to be quiet. As he placed the laptop on the couch and got up from the couch, Chahat stared at the screen.

Few minutes later, Prem finished the call. Expecting Chaaht must have spoiled the laptop he turned to her. He saw Chahat still staring at the laptop screen which is showing some of his picture with Ash as the screen saver. Prem is surprised to see a kid sitting without touching it. Prem sat next to her picking up the laptop. 'thanks for not touching it.' Chahat 'should not touch others things without their permission.' Prem 'who taught you this manners?' Chahat 'my mamma.' Prem 'oh nice. Your mamma seems to be nice.' Chahat finished 'like me.' Prem smiled with a surprise. 'where is your mamma? I never saw any new face here.' Chahat 'gone to work. Dadi is sick. So she can't do anything. So mamma is gone to mill.' She finished in her baby voice. She got up 'can I ask you something.' Prem 'ha' Chahat 'who is that aunty?' she pointed the laptop 'standing with you.' Prem smiled 'I'm going to marry her. soon to be my wife.' Chahat 'you are beautiful but she is not.' She ran out of the room. Prem just stared at Chahat. He shook his head with a smile. He went back to concentrate on his work.

One week passed. Heer is busy and didn't get time to meet any one in the house. Chamba took care of Chahat. Chahat went to school and spent rest of the time with Gaya3 and Lalit. Sometimes she played with Prem. but their meetings always ended in fight. Chahat shouted 'you are a cheater.' Prem got angry 'what did you say?' Chahat 'cheater cheater cheater.' Prem 'don't say. I'll get angry.' Chahat 'I'll say this 100 times. You are a cheater. Chottu is a cheater.' She sang teasingly. Prem got angry and pulled her with anger. He thought she will get fear but she continued shouting 'cheater.' Ash who came there and watched the scene got angry and slapped hard on Chahat's cheek. Chahat stopped abruptly and started crying. Prem just pushed her away 'acting smart.' He got up and left that place. Chahat cried in pain. Chamba hearing Chahat's sound came out of kitchen and saw Chahat sitting in the couch crying. Ash just dragged her out of the couch and threw her down on the floor.

Chamba quickly ran to Chahat and grabbed her. She took her to the room hugging. Chahat sobbed vigorously in fear. Chama tried to pacify her. But nothing worked. She got tensed. She placed her on the bed and went to call Ramu. Whent they came back, they saw Chahat sleeping on the bed. So they left her to sleep. They went back to concentrate on the work.

Evening, Mansion is in full celebration mood. Teji is resting in her room. she asked Chamba about Chahat when she went to give food. Chamba 'she is sleeping.' Teji 'where is Heer?' Chamba 'she is busy in the kitchen.' Heer, Chamba and Ramu are busy in the kitchen. Chamba 'Heer, you go and check Chahat. she didn't eat anything in the evening. She must be hungry.' Heer went to her room and saw Chahat blabbering something. Heer with a tension sat next to her and touched her body to wake her up. she is shocked to find temperature. She rushed to the kitchen to get cold water. Ramu 'what happened?' Heer 'she has fever.' Chamba 'you give her some medicine.' Heer ran back to Chahat. she placed cold water dipped cloth on her head. She gave medicine. One hour passed but temperature only increased. Heer feared increased. She got tensed. Gaya3 who came there to ask Heer something saw Heer with tears sitting staring at Chahat.

Gay3 'Heer, what happened to her?' Heer with tears 'she has fever. I gave medicine but nothing works out.' by that time Chahat started shivering. Gay3 'pick her up. we have to take her to the hospital.' She ran out calling Lalit. Soon she returned with Lalit. Heer hesitated to take Chahat to hospital. 'I'll take care of her. you go and get ready for the party.' Lalit 'that is not important now.' He grabbed Chahat in his hand and rushed to the hospital. Gaya3 gave instruction to Ramu and followed Lalit with Heer.

Party is in full swing. Prem is restlessly staring at the door for his parents. They are suppose to announce his enagement with Ash today. Ash's parents Balwant and DJ got tensed as Lalit didn't show up in the party. Prem tried to pacify angry Ash. He went to kitchen and asked Ramu. He told about Chahat's sickness and Lalit taking her to the hospital. Prem got angry. His tension and anger increased as the guest started moving out as it is very late.

Prem, Ash, Balwant and DJ is sitting in the living room in anger. Just then Lalit and Gaya3 entered the house. Prem angrily shouted 'ma for a servants' child you missed the party and didn't announce my engagement.' Lalit angrily'because of you she got fever.' Just then Heer entered the house with Chahat on her shoulder. Prem is shocked. Heer too looked at Prem and shocked.

Prem angrily 'what are you doing here?' Gay3 'she is Chahat's mother. Heer.' Prem 'ma. what are you saying?' Lalit 'she is here with di for the past four years.' Gay3 'she is everything for your Bua.' Prem shouted 'she is a prostitute.' Heer is shocked. Lalit and Gay3 are also shocked. Gay3 'don't say rubbish about an innocent girl.'

Prem 'I know she is a prostitute. You are treating her like princess.' Pointing Chahat 'this acts like the owner of this empire.' He angrily 'only today I'm seeing her.' Lalit 'how do you know that she is?' Prem fumbled 'my my friend Rishab once showed her picture and told me.' Gay3 'Rishab must have lied to you. he never had good habit.' Prem 'if so then ask her who is the father of her daughter.' Lalit 'she is a divorcee.' He turned to Heer 'what is his name Heer?' Heer is silent. Prem and Ash laughed. Prem 'how can she say. She slept with many. Who knows the real father.' DJ 'keeping this girl in the house is sin.' Heer cried closing her mouth. He is about to move to her room, Prem 'stop, where are you going? We are not running a brothel here. get out from here.' Lalit and Gay3 repeatedly asked her husband name but Heer didn't reply. Only tears came out as answer so they too thought Prem's words are true.

Lalit ordered 'hand over all the things you are handling in this house to Prem. leave now. We don't want to see your face in this house again.' Heer ran to her room. She placed the sleeping Chahat on the bed. She started collecting files of the works she handling in this house. Ramu and Chamba entered the room. 'Bhaiya you give this to him.' Ramu took the file and went out of the room to meet Prem.

Chamba 'where will you go in this night?' Heer 'I'll manage bahbai. Don't'worry about me. don't tell this to Chachi.' Chamba 'we are beleiving that you are not that kind of girl.' Heer 'its my fate I always struggle in my life.' she started packing. Chamba 'Heer, I'll ask' Heer intrupted 'no bhabi. Forget me.' she dumped her things in a bag. She moved to the bed and picked up sleeping Chahat in her hand.
