Part - 6

When he came out of the washroom, he is happy that Heer is not in the room. 'I'm safe out of the magnet range.' He opened his closet and took his suit. He is happily humming his favourite song. He combed his hair and looked himself in the mirror. 'you are looking smart Mr. Prem Juneja the Prince of Juneja empire.'

Heer is serving breakfast for Lalit and Gaya3. Prem came down the stairs humming a song. He touched Lalit and Gaya3 feet. Both surprised by his attitude. He never had that habit before. Lalit thought 'is he really changed?' he shook his head 'that is not possible.'

Prem sat to have breakfast. Heer served him and sat next to him. He didn't give any attention to Heer. He is concentrating on his food. Heer too didn't give any botheration to Prem except she act as a good DIL infornt of Lalit and Gaya3.

Gaya3 'you should call her as Ma not as Aunti.' Prem nodded without any protest. Lalit 'why to the hospital?'

Prem struggled one second 'woh Heer said her ma has heart problem. So I thought of taking her to our family doctor.' Lalit happy that he is taking care of Heer mother. Gaya3 'so my son changed in an over night by Heer.' She gave a victory smile to Heer.

Prem thought 'who changed? I have to do this otherwise she won't agree for child. Then I can't be prince.'

Prem got up 'ma. Getting late for us. I already fixed the appointment with Dr. Siraj.' Lalit and Gaya3 shook their head. Heer and Prem went out. Lalit and Gaya3 are happy that Prem is taking care of Heer's mother.

In the car, Heer thanked Prem 'thanks for remembering.' Prem 'I'm doing my duty. Hope you will do the same.' Heer agreed. Rest of the journey was quiet.

Teji was eagerly waiting for Prem and Heer. When she saw them she is happy. Prem and Heer entered the house. Prem and Heer touched Teji feet. Teji is happy to see Prem giving respect to him. Teji served them juice. They all sat to chat. Teji looked Heer who is silent. Prem breaking their silence 'Ma. Get ready. I have fixed the appointment for your check up with our family doctor.'

Teji 'you both have come here for the first time. So first you have both.' Prem interrupted 'your health is important more than anything.' Teji argued but Prem stubborn 'if you think me as your son come with us to the hospital.' Teji couldn't protest after that. Heer wondered the meaning of the statement told by Prem. But she is happy that her mother accepted for the checkup.

They went to the hospital. After doing few tests, doctor declared that surgery needs to be done immediately. Teji didn't accept. When the doctor said that the surgery is emergency and the delay may end her life. Heer become very sad. Prem made Teji to agree for the surgery again.

Now he has to wait till the surgery gets over. Doctors immediately admitted Teji. Prem felt he has done the mistake of taking Teji to the hospital. Prem thought 'I should have taken Heer first to the hospital, after finishing my work I should have done this.' He scolded himself 'stupid Prem, you failed in your first step.'

Heer more tensed needed a person to comfort but Prem lost in his own thoughts didn't give any attention to Heer. He is not even to bother to look at her.

Heer quickly dialled Gaya3. 'Ma' she cried. Gaya3 got tensed 'Heer, why are you crying?'

Heer with tears 'doctors admitted Ma. They are planning to do the surgery immediately. They says its emergency.'

Gaya3 'where is Prem?'

Heer lied 'he is talking to doctors.' Gaya3 'Heer, don't worry. We'll be there.'

Heer went to her mother. She sat sadly next to her. Nurses taking some final tests to Teji before the surgery. Teji touched her hand 'Heer, you got a very nice husband. So I'm happy even if I die now.'

Heer cried 'ma'. Teji touched her head 'God bless you my child. You will be happy forever.' Heer cried thinking her mothers word. She thought 'sorry ma for hiding the truth.' she asked to call Prem. Heer 'Ma, why you?' Teji stopped her 'I want to see Prem.'

She is taken to operation theatre. Heer in tears needed a shoulder to comfort. She sat in a chair in the waiting room. Prem sat next to her. He unknowingly put his hand around her to comfort her. She leaned on to his chest. Soon Lalit, and Gay3 joined them.

Prem is pacing up and down thinking 'if something happens to her mother will Heer agree to continue the contract?'

Prem stood in shock and confusion. Heer collapsed. Prem hurried to her and picked her up in his arms. He made her sit on the chair. Gaya3 splashed water on her face. Heer opened her eyes and noticed her mother body coming out of the theatre.

She rushed to the stretcher and cried. Prem held her by his shoulder and tried to console her. For the first time he felt her pain in his heart when he saw her tears rolling down Heer cheeks. His eyes become wet.

Prem handed Heer to Gaya3 'Ma, you take her to home.' Lalit and Gaya3 took Heer home. Prem finished the formalities. He informed Preet to bring Megher to help Heer. When Prem and Preet entered the mansion with Teji's body, Heer cried aloud. Prem's heart broke into pieces. Megher and Gaya3 try to hold Heer, but she is in uncontrollable state. She keep on shaking her mother's lifeless body and crying 'Ma, get up.'

Prem slowly moved to Heer. He sat next to her. He put his hand around her shoulder and pulled her into his arms. She leaned on to his chest 'Prem, why Ma did like this? Why he left me alone? I don't have anyone else in this world now. I'm alone.'

Hugging her tightly, Prem cried and whispered into her ears 'you are not alone Heer. I'm with you.'
