The Secret Garden- part 16b on page 30 (6/9 - Page 9

Prem retired to his room after a long day of spying on Preet. So far he had not seen Preet stop anywhere but the office and his hotel. The only visitors he had were room service and his assistant, Ajay. Prem was planning on leaving the next day. He had been updating heer daily, however, there conversations had been stiff and terse.

Heer had noticed meher seeming happy when she returned from work each night. Heer hoped that the smile would not wipe off her face. She wanted meher to return to preet, even if she, herself, could not return to prem.

Meher was having a blast working with Raj. He told her so many stories about Preet.

"Raj! you promised to tell me stories about Preet! What was he like in college?" meher said excitedly.

"well I am sure you know he was quite the ladies man. Once sophomore year, preet took a women's rights class to meet girls. He told each of the girls he needed help studying and each night he would go "study" with a different girl. All the girls were fida over him because he was in the class and so supportive of feminism. well turns out all the girls found out....needless to say he ended up dropping the class!" raj chuckled.

Preet and I were in a fraternity too. He was the life of every party. Our college dean always scolded him for his antics,but Preet was his favorite.

Meher smiled, preet was definitely her favorite!

Preet tapped his foot as he waited for Ash. Since they had ran into each other a few weeks ago, Preet couldn't help but think she was the only way to solve prem and heer's problem. He did not think his brother was capable of sleeping with Ash. And if Ash had really wanted Prem then why had she come on to him after sleeping with Prem?

He spotted ash walk through the door. He called out her name. Ash was ecstatic to see that preet had called her and she leaned in for a hug but he dodged it. "Kaho Preet, why did you call me here?"

Preet swallowed hard. Ash had destroyed his family and he was seething with anger, but he had to keep his composure. "I wanted to take you up on the offer you made the other day. I have been really distraught since meher left. I don't think I really ever loved her, it was always you, Ash."

Ash was skeptical. Why this sudden change in behavior? She didn't trust him.
