Part 16A
Meher lazily woke up as the sun shined in her eyes. She turned over to find Preet missing. "he is probably avoiding me again" meher thought sullenly.
"Meher!!" Heer shouted as she entered Meher's room. "Kya hua di?" meher said groggily. "We have to go to our prenatal aerobics classes today." Preet and prem will pick us up in 30 minutes.
" What? Wait, I don't have to do those for another 3 weeks. Ap mujhe kyun behej rahi ho?" meher said confused. She didn't want to go anywhere with Preet after their recent altercations.
"Haan Likin, I wanted us to do it together, meher. Do you not want to go because of what happened with Preet yesterday?" Heer said trying to surpress a grin as she recalled the story Prem had told her.
"How do you know, di?" meher said slightly embarrassed
"Prem told me that you cut Preet's tie and that both of you were fighting." heer said not being able to control her lauhter at the fact that meher had cut preet's tie. "Prem and i feel terrible. it is all our fault that you guys are fighting. If we hadn't interfered none of this would have happened." Heer said gently stroking meher's hair.
Meher hugged Heer. "Di, I don't know what is wring with me. One moment I want to kill him and the next i want to melt in his arms."
heer comforted Meher,"It is completely normal..." Heer was cut off by her cell phone ringing.
She said, "Okay i will tell her." When she got off the phone she had a wide grin on her face. "Meher, that was Prem. He said that Preet has to leave for a conference and bauji wants you to go with him. So get packed....you have a flight tonight." heer said happily.
"Likin, kahan ja rahe hai hum? And is Preet okay with me going with him?" meher said.
"Don't worry about all that. Just go get packed!" Heer said shoving Meher towards her closet.
Heer quickly left Meher's room and called Preet. "Tumahara kaam, ho gaya, devarji!"
"Thank you, meri pyaari Bhabhiji!" preet said. They both hung up and Heer smiled. She was so happy that meher had married preet. She was glad to see the love they shared.

Meher called ramu kaka to take her and preet's bags downstairs. She then went downstairs sullenly. She was worried preet was only taking her on bauji's insistence/ What if this trip made things worse between them? What if Preet was still angry with her? What if.......Meher lost her train of thought as she saw preet come through the door.
"Chaliyein?" preet said noncalantly as he picked up their bags. Meher nodded. The car ride to the airport was silent and awkward.
