Hey, this shot I'm actually typing from my cellphone. So if the format is messed up, excuse that ne? ^_^ Also, it hasn't been beta-ed aka edited, so excuse the totally crap plot line. =) Try to enjoy.
"Ah girls, exactly what are we doing on this side of the mall" Meera asked, following her friends curiously. It also was a well known fact that Meera was naturally curious and often ended up helping the two with their plans.
"Shopping" replied the youngest of the three, Kiran with a snicker.
Meera raised her brow as Kiran glanced at her partner in crime, Rinki who was looking around while tapping her chin.
"And what are you looking for?" Meera narrowed her eyes as the two nodded their heads with twin smirks, seeming to communicate telepathitically.
"Aha!" Rinki suddenly yelled, pointing at something all the while causing Meera to jump startled. She proceeded to glare at Rinki who simply smiled innocently at her.
She sighed and shook her head with a small smile as she watched them walk ahead of her, stopping at times to pick a piece of clothing and criticize it in their own andaaz.
She pulled out her cell and flipped through the contacts before coming to stop at the name of the one person who was more than likely to know what these two were planning, Tonema.
While she waited for a reply, she turned her eyes back to the two whispering while holding some clothes. Meera tried to remember if someone's birthday was coming up that they'd shop for him, but none came to mind.
The phone vibrated in her hand just as Rinki began to walk towards her. Checking the message quickly, she was disappointed to see the "idk, they didn't temme anythin".
"Here hold this Meera" Rinki said, plopping something in her arms and walking with Kiran to another isle before Meera could utter a word. Turning her eyes to the article of clothing in her hands, she stared at it with wide eyes.
Black silk boxers with red hearts stared back at her innocently. A shocked meep left her as she turned to look at her friends who were quickly walking away from her frozen frame. With narrowed eyes, she began to chase after them quickly, ready to lecture them.
Just as she reached them, they both separated and went in opposite directions, making way for Meera to walk straight into someone else. Bright brown eyes stared at her with slight amusement and concern. Warm broad hands held her up, breaking the fall that would've costed her a bruised bum.
Messy brown locks decorated his head and his well built frame was shielded by the tight green shirt he wore with faded blue jeans. Ending their starefest session, she moved to stand without his support, instantly missing his warmth and broad shoulders under her hands.
She watched with mortification as he held up the boxers, stared at them curiously before turning to look her up and down, a crease between his brows and a smirk lighting up his face. She flushed bright red before beginning to stutter out an answer.
"They're not mine" his only reply was to tilt his head, causing her to clarify her answer.
"My friend gave them to me, I'm a girl, and I...umm, yah" she scratched her head as he smiled softly before handing the boxers over to her. She took with a sheepish grin.
"How about you explain more about these over dinner at 8?" He said in a deep voice that sent shivers down her spine.
"Excuse me?" She blinked at him, startled.
"If you'd rather not--"
"No!" She cut him off, before turning red as he stared at her amused.
"I mean, uh yeah. Sure, i'd like that actually" she stated with a soft smile. Mentally she was arguing with herself over saying yes to a complete stranger but her heart told her he was someone she could trust, so she listened to that one side. It had never led her astray before.
"Great. I'm Shahid, by the way" he held out his hand for her.
"Meera" shaking his form hand, she had to stop herself from swooning right there.
They proceeded to exchange numbers and had just finished handing the other's cell back when they heard their names being called.
"Meera!" Kiran stood at the side waving at her to come.
"Shahid!" A man stood a while away motioning for him to hurry up.
"Well, I'll see you tonight then" he said, gently caressing her cheek before leaning down to peck her forhead lovingly. She whispered a soft goodbye before walking to her friends in a daze.
The rest of the trip was spent with her staring into space, thinking about him while clutching those boxers in her hands. She read the text message for what seemed to be the hunderedth time. It still said the same thing.
"Can't wait to see you again.
xoxo- Shahid"
She didn't even mind that she never found out exactly why Rinki and Kiran were shopping in the men's section. She missed their smirks as they looked back at her while wiggling their brows at one another.
There ya have it. Sucked no? =P
The person I wrote this for, aka Meera already knew I was writing something for her. So not much of a surprise. *shrug*
I hope y'all enjoyed it though.
