Here is the third part to the FF.
CHAPTER 3
So what is happening in the show is what happened between the last chapter and this chapter. Jasmeet Aunty sends "shagun" to the Junejas and Gayatri agrees. With all the preparations for Prem and Geet's upcoming wedding, Heer is now a regular at the Juneja's since much to her dispise, both Jasmeet Aunty and Gayatri have put her in charge of everything. Jasmeet Aunty knowing that nobody can do a job better than Heer while Gayatri trying to put Heer in more pain. The rest of the Junejas are not very happy and tried to talk to Heer on more than one occasion but she would change the subject. Story resumes from the day before the rokha of Prem and Geet.
It's been one of those days when everything that has to go wrong, went wrong. First her alarm clock didn't go off and she was late for work and Chahat was late for school. After much trouble, they both got ready only to find out Heer couldn't find her folder with all the details of the upcoming wedding. She finally found it Chahat's room where she fell asleep the night before. When they were about to finally get out of the house, Chahat suddenly remembered that she didn't have her English notebook with her and once again, Heer and Chahat went seaching all around the house and it took them a good 20 minutes to find the notebook. They were 10 minutes late to school and Heer was more than upset with herself and Chahat. As she said her goodbyes to Chahat, Chahat turned around and said, "Don't forget, Mama! Today is another half-day!"
Heer stopped on her tracks. Half-day? How would she be able to find time to come early to pick Chahat up from school? Esp. today, a day before the rokha. She has to ask Jasmeet Aunty to let her go off for an hour.
At the office, everything was hectic. It been Jasmeet Aunty's
daughter's wedding, she was freaking out about every single detail. And than there was Geet who has decided to come to the office everyday to talk to Heer about Prem. Her Prem. How can she let her Prem marry someone else? How can her best friend marry her Prem? Well, he was not hers anymore. He was free. After all, she was the one who had encouraged Prem to get married again. Than why did it feel so painful when she heard Geet talk about Prem like that? No matter how hard she tried to convince herself that she hated Prem now and that Prem was not good enough for Geet, a part of her knew she only thought that because Prem was only good enough for her. She still loved him. How can she not?
With her thoughts and all the work, before she knew it, it was noon, time to pick Chahat up from school. She hurried into Jasmeet Aunty's cabin and knocked on the door.
"Come in!" answered a very tensed voice. Heer entered the cabin to find Jasmeet Aunty pacing up and down the room while Geet sat in one of the chairs with a dreamy look on her face lost in thoughts, probably of Prem and at that moment, Heer wanted to slap her but she had to control herself.
"Heer! Thank god you are here! You have to come with me right now!" exclaimed Jasmeet Aunty as soon as she saw Heer.
"Come where? Jasmeet Aunty, I have to go pick Chahat up from school. It's half-day, today and I am already getting late. Can I pick her up first?"
"We don't have much time. Ok, how about we pick up Chahat and take her along with us?"
"Take her where? Where are we going?"
"You'll see! Let's go" Jasmeet Aunty said as she grabbed Heer's arm and dragged her to the car. They went to pick Chahat up from school who was very happy to see they were going for a ride in Jasmeet Aunty's car. Heer still didn't know where they were going and asking Jasmeet Aunty was now out of question as everytime she would ask Jasmeet Aunty something, she would jump up and freak out more.
Heer thought to herself that she must be the only wife in the world who was getting her husband married to someone else. The husband that she loved and worshipped. The husband that meant the world to her. The love of her life. Part of her wanted to go up to him and tell him how much she still loved him and she knows. She knows the truth. But the other part of her, maybe the more sensible one, knew that was impossible and she had to keep on pretending that she hates him. Oh how much it hurts her but how can she tell him that.....
"We are here!" said Jasmeet Aunty. Heer didn't realize they were already at their destination. She looked up and saw the very familiar gates in front of her. They were at the Juneja house. Oh so Jasmeet Aunty wanted to talk to Gayatri. She should have known.
"Mama, whose house is this?" Chahat asked her mother. Chahat. Heer has forgotten Chahat was with her. How can she take Chahat there? Prem was probably there and the rest of the family was there. How can she take Chahat there??
